I'm not sure who prior shoppers worked with at Sit n' Sleep...but the current staff which I have been working with here have been nothing but informative and helpful. Shopping here I felt like Julia Roberts in the movie "Pretty Woman" when she spent so much time shopping in the store they ordered pizza! My husband has a slipped disk in his lower back and has had difficulty sleeping for years...due to this medical injury, we must have visited this store about 15 times laying on every single mattress, taking the sleep test twice, and rolling over from side to side so much and on so many mattresses that by the end of this purchase...we felt like part of the team! This was a very large purchase for us as we decided to get split mattresses with adjustable bases so we didn't enter into the decision or the purchase quickly. We went from store to store and even checked online mattress distributors for pricing and opinions and ultimately we felt like our Saleswoman (who is also the Manager), Lori, was treating us like family. She wasn't trying to push anything on us or rush us into a decision (obviously since we visited literally 15 times)!! There's nothing worse than feeling like someone's trying to "sell" you on something - even when they're in sales and we truly felt like her and her staff were literally some of the most knowledgeable, PATIENT, salespeople who were willing to work every option and financing program and discount or sale that they could for us to get the mattress that we want and finally be able to have a good nights sleep! The delivery line called me as scheduled the day before on time with the delivery window and they were RIGHT on time and gave us zero issue removing the old mattress! In fact, a delivery slot opened one day earlier and Lori herself called me directly to ask if we'd like to receive our delivery one day sooner which I thought was EXCELLENT follow thru and customer service. The only thing I didn't get out of my Sit N' Sleep experience...was that box of pizza that Julia Roberts got in the movie! But hey, that's the difference between Hollywood and Upland! ;-) Thanks to Lori and her staff for making a very difficult and expensive shopping trip one that was easy, smooth, and works for our budget and our existing bed frame! These guys are great and I HIGHLY recommend Lori and her team at Sit N' Sleep Upland to anyone looking for a new mattress. My husband and I went to this location to purchase our first mattress. The store manager Lori was quick to greet us and very helpful from there helping us pick out the perfect mattress for us. She was a great listener in hearing what we wanted and our price range, introducing us then to the bed match system to help us have a better direction in what would work with our bodies. My husband is closer to a 4 and myself a 2. We left the store with a new mattress, which my husband and I are both extremely happy with at a 3, as well as protection sheets, two pillows, and the box spring all for a price we are also extremely happy with. I bought a $250 twin mattress for our 3 year old. Seemed like a good price. She is potty training and I asked for a waterproof mattress cover. Salesman handed me one and said it was 100% waterproof and if anything went through they would replace the mattress. It was $70. I get home. My wife reads it and no where on the packing just it even hint at being waterproof. I think it said moisture resistant right next to breathable material. I went back the next day to return it (still in original packing and I have the receipt). The only salesman there at the time says he can't return it. It to be the manager. Who won't be back that day. A couple days later when I return from out of town, I call. Same guy answers who can't return it. Manager won't be in for two more days now. But this guy transfers me to customer service who "should" take care of it. Phone rings and plays the same stupid saying over and over for 20 minutes. 8 pm hits and the phone call is disconnected. Turns out customer service closes at 8pm. I call the guy back at the store. He tells me he has a customer in front of him and will call me back and takes down my number. Well, surprise surprise, no call back. I suggest doing your mattress shopping somewhere else. The only positive was when I initially bought everything the "manager" was nice. However, since then it has been horrible. I should have inspected the packages on the outrageously overpriced mattress cover instead of believing what the salesman told me. Even if they would replace the mattress, I'm sure that is a huge headache to deal with....and would I also get a new "waterproof" mattress cover as well. This is something small. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Stay away from the Upland Sit and Sleep. We found the perfect mattress and paid for it right then. It all went down hill from there. We were told that there would be a call between 7pm and 9pm with our delivery window for the next day. By 8:45pm, no call. So I called the store and the store manager called me back after she found out and gave me the timeline for the afternoon. The mattress arrived on time BUT we had paid for removal of the old mattress. That payment did NOT show up on the delivery invoice so the drivers refused to take the old mattress! I called the store manager again, and she told them to take it. After reading the other reviews, I'm sorry we went to Sit and Sleep and bought an expensive mattress. My advise: go somewhere else!!! read more

Stay away from here!! The sales people pulled the old bait and switch routine and like an idiot, I fell for it. I ended up selecting a more expensive mattress and thought at the time that I was given a good deal! When the mattress arrived it was not at all like the one I selected. It is lumpy and broken down on one side!! I was put through a worthless inspection and was told it passed! I don't know how?? It has such a dip on one side that the inspector even rotated it so I wasn't sleeping in a hole! I am being totally ripped off by sit and sleep. Stay away!! read more

Ed, the manager took really good care of me when I told him about me not sleeping well on my old mattress, which was even causing me siatica issues. I used the device in the store that recommends which mattress level to purchase and I decided on a Kingsdown brand. We purchased a mattress last July from Sit n Sleep in Upland, CA. and after a few months the side my husband was sleeping on was indented quite a bit. We followed the Sit n Sleeps instrustions by flipping the matress around every month, however each time before the month ended his side was always indented, like he was sleeping in a hole!! I have to also say when we flipped the mattress each time it did come back to the origional fullness on my side each time. After 6 months we contacted customer service and it took them about 1 month to have someone come and take a look at the mattress. They measured the mattress and sure enough it was intended more then 1/2 in, as per Sit n Sleep Customer Satisfaction Guarantee we WERE Eligable for a new matress. HOWEVER, in the fine print, which we were NOT made aware of by the salesperson, is that if you have a platform bed, which we do have AND we did tell the salesperson prior to purchasing the mattress, apparently you MUST have a box spring as well with that particualr mattress, the platform bed frame and plywood is not strong enough to support the weight of the matress to warrent the guarentee. All we wanted was to switch it or exchange it for another mattress. They wouldn't help in any way so basiclly we threw away $3000.00!!! We will NEVER purchase a mattress from Sit n Sleep again. BUYER BEWARE!! The salesperson is NOT your friend, they just want to make a sale and then they are DONE with you. VERY poor business practice! They should of at least tried to come to an agreeable solution with us being that the mattress was less then 6 months old and we did everything we were told to do when we purchased the mattress. We will NEVER purchase anything from Sit n Sleep again and we will continue to expose this company for the FRAUDs that they are!!!!!! read more

I had a great experience buying a mattress! I thought buying a mattress would be boring, confusing, and in the end I would have tried so many mattresses that I would no longer be able to tell the difference between the mattresses. I was totally wrong. At Sit 'n Sleep they have this bed that you lay on and it helps determine your prefect mattress type. Lori Cichoski, the store manager, helped me to find my prefect mattress. I had no idea where to start and I felt like a fish out of water walking into the store with its sea of mattresses. Lori though she took the time to help me, and after we determined my prefect mattress type she began walking me through the different types of mattresses. Once I decided that I liked the memory foam mattresses best she showed me this Beauty IQ mattress. It was a sales floor model and was 50% off, and I knew it was the one the moment I laid down on it. Lori though never rushed me throughout the whole process, in fact she told me to lay on the mattress for 15 minutes just to be sure it was the one. Then after confirming it was the one it was time to find the right pillow, and this time I almost felt like a princess. Lori would bring me a pillow and I would lay on it and if it was not the one she would bring me another one. she must have brought me seven different pillows until I finally decided that the tempurpedic dream cloud cool pillow was the one. However, after learning that pillows cost an average of $200 I had to say no, but I enjoyed the experience of going through the pillows. Now was the time to pay for the mattress and Lori walked me through the whole process and took the time to explain each cost. I ended up financing my mattress and luckily for me after we finalized the mattress price and everything I ended up being able to afford the pillow. Lori though being the amazing sales lady she is would occasionally bring up the pillow every now and then. My Dad and I found it amusing because we ourselves are sales people in different professions. What I liked though was that when I said no to something she would not push the subject, but would casually bring it up again just to make sure (like with the pillow although I really liked the pillow and was disappointed when I heard the price). She also educated me on mattress protectors and informed me how they would protect my mattress and make it last longer. In the end with Lori's help I walked out of the store happy with my mattress purchase, and definitely not regretting it. I never felt like I was being pushed towards any one mattress, and I definitely never felt rushed. I am excited about my new mattress and can not wait until it is delivered, and I will be recommending Lori to any one in the market for a new mattress. read more

We have bought 6 mattresses from Ali Belagasem at the Upland store over the past 2 years and have had nothing but positive experiences with both Ali and the delivery people. Ali is very helpful, professional, and just a pleasure to deal with. We needed to return the latest purchase we made for our parents (bed was too firm for them) and Ali made sure it went smoothly from our visit to the store to select a new bed to the delivery and pick up of the previously purchased bed. My husband and I went to Sit & Sleep on 3/27/13. We went there just for information, as we were just starting to shop for a new mattress. We were greeted by Ali as soon as we walked in. I had been researching matresses for a while and had brought along some info I had got online. He had us lay on a bed for a while and he answered all our questiions. He was so knowledgable. The first bed was nice , but then we tried out a different bed which we loved. It turned out to be a higher end, but he didn't show us that one first, he let us deceide - no pressure. We purchased the bed at that time as we felt Ali really took care of us and gave us a good deal. The bed was delivered in one day. We deceided later to change the bed for a different size. The customer service we got from Ali was amazing! Everything was taken care of and no problem with delivery service.
