It pains me (literally and figuratively) to write this review right now. For six years I have LOVED my neighborhood Sit'n Sleep, because the service has been impeccable, and I loved my mattress and bed frame. Delivery was a breeze. I knew that when my mattress was ready to be replaced in 10 years, I'd be going right back for another one from them. HOWEVER, this all changed when my Sherwood mattress suddenly began sagging in the middle like a hammock for no reason on my part. It's been about a month since I went in to Sit'n Sleep to get a print out of my purchase receipt to file a warranty claim, as this mattress should be lasting me another FOUR YEARS. Come to find out, Sherwood is no longer affiliated with Sit'n Sleep, and I am left to the mercy of an out-of-state company who has NO CONTACT PHONE- only email, which they barely can get staff to return. So now for over a month, I've been getting the WORST SLEEP, and my disc in my lower back is acting up and I'm in pain every night and most of the day from sleeping with no support, as I wait for Sherwood to get their act together. The inspector finally came yesterday. Guess what I have another 5-7 days to wait for any information once again. Here's the kicker: This may sound like an issue to take up with Sherwood who fulfills my factory warranty. Yes it is. However, when they replace this crap mattress, I'm supposed to pay $300 for them to deliver it to me since it's out-of-state! That's nearly the cost of this mattress, which was $422! It is NOT MY FAULT that Sit'n Sleep is no longer affiliated. In my opinion a good mattress company like Sit'n Sleep would be helping the Sherwood customers like myself who walked into the floor room 6 years ago thinking they'd be taken care of for the length of the warranty with the same ease as when I bought it. I feel like I was majorly jipped. I am owed something here- a portion for shipping cost at least! NOT HAPPY! I can't handle another night of painful bad sleep and am now just buying another mattress. The 10 year warranty promise in my case feels like a huge scam! Sherwood shame on you! Sit'n Sleep help your customers somehow who have been left in the dust, even if it's a portion of a refund that's fair. Four years left of a good mattress I should be having right now. I'll try to go back to sleep now, but that's unlikely. Ugh. read more

Went to the Costa Mesa store on Newport Bl. They were right on the spot with Customer Service. Kevin and Chris were both excellent in suggesting and explaining the differences and offering great suggestions. No sales pitch just great advice and taking the time needed with all the customers. The store had 4-5 couples looking Best buying experience I've ever had. Highly suggest you try them. I was referred to this Sit and Sleep by a mutual acquaintance. The sales person who assisted me was Bob. He was helpful and did a good job. Had it not been for their horrendous delivery service I would have given Sit and Sleep 4 stars. I called on Feb. 20th after their dim witted delivery personnel damaged my wall (see exhibit A & B on the picture section). I left a message for Veronica, Frank and ultimately Georgette. Georgette has been the only one to call me back since I first started my hellish attempts at getting my wall fixed and it is now March 1st. Georgette left me a voicemail that the only people that can fix my dry wall are unlicensed and a unbonded construction service, that for some reason Sit & Sleep is ok with using. I told Georgette I am not comfortable with their choice and she then gave me two more options, I find my own contractor, pay the bill and I will get a check in the mail for my expenses OR I can research TWO estimates, fax them to her and they will go with the lowest option. Neither of these options are to my content. What S&S should ethically be doing is working licensed and bonded contractors. I have now escalated my complaint to the store manager and the saga continues..... Lets see when Sit & Sleep decides to get their act together and fix my wall! Jennifer Salcedo is one of the most caring sales person I've met in a very long time. She's knowledgeable, sympathetic and genuine. She restrengthened my faith in the Sit n Sleep product! I had purchased an adjustable Serta late last year from another store. I had some concerns about the delivery, which after sending a letter I was contacted by Larry! Yes! Larry, from all those commercials! He apologized for all the issues that I had and another member of his team assisted me in the final product. I had been receiving emails about ongoing sales and never seeing anything else mentioning those amazing sheets they offer at their stores. So that's where Jennifer assisted me. I got a discount on the sheets and also was made aware of the 1-year warranty. Due to the sheets having a hole in them, it's covered! I had no idea! Her knowledge of the product and concern showed me she truly cares. If you're needing a new mattress, I'd definitely be sure to ask for her! I was told I would have to pay for shipping, ($264) from AZ. and also dispose of the mattress.............what kind of BS is that. Several years ago, we saw a Sealy mattress in Mathis Brothers that was on sale that we liked, so we went to Sit and Sleep for a price comparison. We were shocked to see that all the mattresses in the store were priced at least twice as high as what we had seen shopping around. The salesman saw us talking and asked what was up. We told him that these mattresses were twice the price of any store. He asked me which store and mattress we were comparing, and he went to his computer, coming back in a few minutes and beat the Mathis Brothers sale price by 1 CENT. He wanted to write the sale up, but we told him we were driving back to Mathis Brothers to purchase the mattress from an honest business (which we did). Some unsuspecting person who believes their advertisements (nobody will beat our prices or your mattress is free), would buy a mattress for twice the market price. It's just downright dishonest how they advertise and run their business. I prefer patronizing honest businesses. read more

All of these 5 star Yelp reviews are legit based on my experience with John. I walked in having done some research on buying mattresses, but with no clue on what I wanted. As soon as I walked in the store, I was greeted by John. He was professional and proactive in assisting me, but not pushy. He made me feel comfortable in taking my time trying out different mattresses. John was also extremely knowledgeable in informing me about the different spring and foam types and answering my questions thoroughly. He offered me a competitive price compared to other retailers, and I ended up purchasing a mattress, adjustable base and a bed set. The delivery and setup went smoothly. The delivery guys arrived an hour earlier then the scheduled time. They were efficient and even VACUUMED the area after hauling away my old mattresses and setting up the new one, which is above and beyond what I expected. Floyd Ramey was amazing. My husband and I have been putting off buying a new mattress for years now. What if we buy it and get it home and it sucks? I mean who can really pick a 10 year mattress after laying on it for 10 minutes? How many people actually lay on a mattress for 10 minutes? I DO!!! I have one of the most patient husbands alive and I am one of the pickiest wives alive ‍. Now let's add the stress and uncomfortableness of living in the year of 2021. I made an appointment before going to the store to assure we would have time set aside for us to give us the full attention to answer our questions without feeling rushed. Floyd was great. He explained the process and we got started. The mattress business really can be complicated. He gave us the royal treatment and let the machines tell him what would work best for us as a couple. He gave us choices and then it was up to me. My husband doesn't care it's all about what makes me happy . So while Floyd and my husband went over all the technical stuff I went for comfort. I tried out a few and went back to the one I liked the best and spend a good 20 min laying there while the guys talked. We made our purchase with Floyd and scheduled delivery. The next day when the delivery people showed up they informed me that I ordered the wrong size King, oops. Now what? They called it in to dispatch and I called customer service who were very nice and helpful but told me they could not get me another delivery for a week. That didn't sound right so I called my ol pal Floyd. Sure enough he agreed that it didn't sound right and had my new (correct size) bed to me the next day. To top it off a few days later he called me back to check in and see how things were going and if I was liking my new bed. Now Sit-N-Sleep gives you 120 day guarantee on your mattress so if you don't like it you pay a restocking fee and get a new mattress. What a deal.... like I said in the beginning how can you really know by lying on a bed for 10 minutes if that is going to be a good nights sleep for you. The decision is still out on my 10 year purchase but it's been two weeks and so far so good. Thank you Floyd Ramey for all your help and dedication to your customers. My fiancé and I had a fantastic experience working with Kevin at Sit 'n Sleep and would highly recommend a visit to anyone shopping for a new pillow or mattress. During my first visit, he sold me a pillow that has been working out quite well for me. He was very courteous in walking me out to my car, too, since the pillow was very heavy and it was nighttime. Seemingly small gestures like this are much appreciated. Next, my fiancé and I had problems with his foot twitching during the night. The movement transferred to my side of the bed and began to keep me up at night. What impressed me about Kevin was that he didn't immediately try to sell us something; he instead offered us practical suggestions to reduce the transfer of movement across the bed. When all possible solutions failed, we ended up purchasing a new mattress from him, getting a very good deal. Kevin was patient, reliable, and highly knowledgeable.
