We have been so thrilled with our experiences at Sit Means Sit in Firestone. We have attended about 8 puppy playtimes, 10 group classes and the 5 day board and train with additional boarding days. We have a mini Goldendoodle named Bo - our first small dog. When we started, he was a puppy through and through (roughly 14 weeks old). He loved puppy play time and it was a great way for socialization with other dogs of all sizes/breeds (he was only 8lbs) and other humans (young and old). The trainers are on site, answering and asking questions. While there, we saw a difference in the behavior of the puppies that were in the classes/training program. Owners seemed much more in control than we felt, and we started asking questions and everyone affirmed the programs and facility. We made the decision to put Bo in the 5 night stay and train program. It's expensive - would it be worth it? We had to discuss it greatly but decided we had, hopefully 10-12+ years with Bo, and having him well trained would allow a much more peaceful co-existence, help us to feel comfortable with him around other people/dogs, and we were excited to receive the tools to tap into all that he was capable of achieving. While he was at "sleep-away camp" as we called it, we received daily updates through "report card" and pics. When we picked him up, we basically received an entirely different dog. We said that first night "it feels like our baby grew up in a week!". Don't get me wrong, he's still a fun playful puppy, but we now have the tools, in equipment and training, to guide him to appropriate behavior, keep him from unsafe situations and watch as his intellect connects and he does really smart things! (To note - he was not potty trained when we dropped him off. We've only have had 1 accident in the month since we picked him up!) Trainers Carolyn and Sandy are wonderful and love on our Bo whenever he is around - continuing to help us refine the skills he (and we) are learning. He gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot and he sees his human and dog friends waiting for class or play time. We have attended as many group classes as we can (6 mo included in the stay and train program). It's a wonderful group (15-25 dogs) of various breeds and training levels. It's so encouraging to see where we are heading with consistent time and training by watching the interaction of other dogs and owners. I have heard some wonder about, or critique, the training collars used. They are not "shock" collars - the signal sent feels like a tens unit vibration - designed not to hurt the dog but to get their attention. If you have a puppy - don't hesitate to start training early! We are so glad we did. Was it expensive? Yes. Has it been worth it? Most definitely! Highly recommend!

Very unprofessional. My dog came back with pink eye and kennel cough. When I called they tried to blame it on me. Will not be going back.

I am so happy I discovered this business two years ago. It's become a regular part of my dog…read moreOscar's routine. He LOVES it. So do I. The staff is wonderful; they genuinely love dogs! I've also found the reservation system, and the drop-off and pick-up, to be super easy. In addition to daycare services, Oscar gets regular grooming and he always smells so good when he comes home! :) We've had him in for boarding twice, and it also went well. Mostly it gave me peace of mind knowing he'd be well taken care of by people who care about him. When the facility moved this spring, I wasn't sure we'd continue. But it's such a welcoming and familiar place for Oscar, it's been worth the drive so far. And the new building is huge and looks great. I can't wait until they allow us in to see the new digs!

The staff is wonderful, caring, loves dogs, diligent. My dog Peyton came to us as an adult rescue and had some issues. HH willingly accepted him -- he cannot be in the general dog population, and they have a program just for that! Enrichment: He plays and trains with people all day. He can't wait to go when it's daycare time.He loves it and all the staff. Makes it so much easier to board him too knowing he is getting the best care and having a good time. HH sends you a report card during boarding with pics and how things are going. I can't thank HH enough for all they have done for us. They are the BEST.

Our dog was a…read morehorrible walker, and had us worried because he would encounter other dogs on the walk and become very difficult to manage. He is a strong 100lb dog! He just pulled us along and was very unenjoyable to work with. The final straw was when he went after a rabbit and pulled my wife down, hurting her back. The two week training was very effective and we couldn't be more happy with the results! When we went to pick our dog up after the two weeks, Damien asked if the whole family could be there. He ensured each of us could walk our dog and use the necessary corrections. The kids were able to walk him, even past other dogs! I was super impressed. Damien took time to teach us how to effectively reinforce the training once we are at home, then made sure we could do it. He not only trained our dog, but trained us too. This is day 3 of being home and our dog is still very well behaved and has not reverted back to his old ways! He had his longest walk today, past the same neighborhood dogs as before and was amazing! Very happy with the results! It's a 45 minute drive, and there are other training/kennels that are closer to home, but I won't be going anywhere else. I will recommend Jasper's to anyone that is looking for knowledgeable folks that will care for your dog.

Damian took time to explain a lot about dog behaviors. He knows big dogs (GSD). I will return for…read moremore training.
