Guess what choice I opted for? Screech...that's the the sound of my brakes stopping. I turned into a neighborhood strip center where the Sisters SnoShack snow cone truck resides. My server told me the most popular snow cones were (Rainbow - multiple flavors, Hawaiian and Pineapple). Went for the rainbow...Snow cones have completely changed since I was a child. Sno cones used have this crushed ice that you sometimes get with sodas today. The Sisters SnoShack has very smooth ice...very velvety. The juice for the snow cone was robust and enjoyable to eat. Several picnic tables were filled with snow cone connoisseurs. Since it is next door to one of grocery stores we frequent...definitely returning. read more

I'm sorry, but I don't know what's up with the flavors here! I've tried four different ones now and they all have a fake and overly sweet taste that just turns me off! Even the Arnold Palmer! They reluctantly allowed me to try another flavor and even their cherry was a no! Even my tongue is still more than an hour later! Best snow cone I've had in austin in a while! Such fun flavor combos I got the best friends snow come (pink lemonade and lime and gummy bears)! I didn't know they had pup cups otherwise I would have brought my dog! My only complaint in the middle of my snow cone I noticed not enough syrup but wasn't a huge deterrent of not going back! I've been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint and really exceeded my expectations. I honestly went there to split a $20 and was expecting that watered down shaved ice from the 90s...this was NOT that. It was so DELICIOUS! I got the classic Rainbow flavors. The shaved ice itself was so flavorful, somehow didn't taste watered down and somehow tasted creamy? I added ice cream to the center because...you just have to, trust me. It was absolutely delicious. I got a small ($5) plus adding the ice cream ($1) so it was $6 total and definitely worth it. I was surprised how big the small was and wouldn't go bigger unless I was sharing with someone. We love sister snoshack! We love just a couple minutes walk from here so needless to say we are here quite often. I love that during the pandemic they allow you to call your order in ahead of time and pay over the phone. Just walk up to the window and your order is ready! They have a lot of your standard snow cone flavors, but also have some creations of their own that are a mix of different flavors/candies/cream. My favorite is the key lime pie. BEST SNOW CONES IN AUSTIN!! As somebody who loves snow cones I've been to my fair share of snow cone places and this one takes number one. My favorite thing to order is the lemon lime snow cone with nerds. The people working are always super friendly and nice. They also have lovely somewhat shaded picnic tables to sit on and enjoy your delicious snow cones. My two complaints keeping them from 5 stars is simply that they are often crazy busy and the workers are a bit slower at handling the line. The other is that the hours are VERY limited and they are not open on Sundays. read more

The ice is soft in texture and resembles a creamier slushy, atypical of a standard snow ice. My family and I absolutely love Sisters! It is a gem in one of the most beautiful parts of Austin. I bring my family here regularly, as we enjoy the beautiful, shaded setting and delicious snoballs. We made our most recent visit yesterday, and as always, the young ladies working there were extremely kind and gracious. They let you sample whatever flavors you are considering, and their quality and service are second to none. My eldest son ordered the incredible hulk (hint: add cream!), while my younger ordered a fantastic flavor called Blue Beary. They were both out-of-this-world delicious, and really hit the spot in the heat of summer! We always look forward to visiting this place - it is a locally-owned operation here in Austin, and part of what makes our city so very special. I encourage everyone to give Sisters a try, as it is the best shaved my family and I have ever tried :) read more

My husband and I live a mile away from this sno truck. We biked here the other day and we were so happy we did. They are setup near the Randall's off Mesa. They have 3 picnic tables to sit at but only 2 of them are in the shade. These are their prices: Small $4.00 Medium $5.00 Large $6.00 X-Large $7.00 I took these hours straight from their IG Page: Open Monday-Saturday 12-8:30 Closed Sundays My husband and I both got a small. He got grape and I got blueraspberry. They were super refreshing. They have many different flavors and toppings to choose from but we went with simple because sometimes less is more. This ice cone was very smooth and shaved, it reminded me of Bahama Bucks or Casey's Snoballs. Overall, I loved these snocones and I will DEF be back for more.
