The new owners are the best. Reno has been doing my nails for years now. His work is clean and very detailed. All I have done is show an inspiration pic and Reno makes it his own. The shop is clean very welcoming and they always are willing to accommodate me with my work schedule. Love this place. 100% I recommend sissy nails to every one. read more

Called an hour before closing and asked if they'd have time to fit me in for a mani/pedi with shellac - they said come on in! The shop is very clean and gives a spa feel. The massage chair, leg scrub w/massage and hot towel were unexpected and great! This was on the basic pedicure! My technician was friendly, helpful, and thorough. I think her name was Katie - she was meticulous about her work - exactly what you want. 100% will return next time we are in Daytona!! The Ferrari red color is to die for. read more

Sissy Nails - Shellac mani/pedi in Ferrari Red ‍ - Nail Salons Near Me - Daytona Beach, Florida

I've been on and off here for a few years and services have gotten worse and worse. Not to mention that the last three times I've come in to get my eyebrows waxed the lady asked me if I wanted to get my lip waxed and I said no three times just the eyebrows and she put the mirror in my face and said I need to get my lip waxed too. To which I gave up and said yes because the couldn't take no for an answer. I wasn't trying to be upcharged and not only that, but it's incredibly rude. I have lots of peach fuzz on my face and I'm okay with that as it's apart of being Italian and I don't care about it. But it's embarrassing having to tell the same lady every time that I don't want my lip done and she tells me I need it until I give up and just let her do it and have to pay more. There are a few really good nail techs at sissy nails but it seems like every time I go there now I'm partnered with nail techs who don't know what they're doing and the nails end up crooked and bumpy and to top it off they are applied so badly that it left permanent indents in my nail and caused all of my fingers to be sore the day after. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

Had pedicure on Friday 6/30/23 french tips on my toes, and by Monday 7/3/23 it was chipping off 4 of my toe nails. stopped by salon on Wednesday 7/5/23 to ask why it is chipping off, and spoke with nail tech, and I was told that french tips that are done in just the White polish will not last. you needed to do the Gel (cost more money) and it would last longer. number 1. I was never told that. number 2. I have had pedicures done at Pro Nails for over 3 years never had an issue, and it has lasted 4 weeks before it would start chipping off. and it was just white tip polish. Thought I would try new shop, never again, will not go back. read more

Absolutely the WORST experience of my life, STAY AWAY from here. I asked to delicately remove my old fill, preserving my own natural nails so I could have a clean, new fill. The guy TORE off my old fill causing 2 nails to bleed! Then he proceeded to cut down my real nails very short & told me I had to have tips put on, which I said from the start, NO TIPS, please keep own nails intact. HORRIBLE, NEVER AGAIN!! My daughter's wedding is in 6 days-just AWFUL!! I paid but left with no nails and 3 nails are so painful that I can't do anything with them right now. Will contact the BBB, next step! read more

Sissy Nails - See my negative review - Nail Salons Near Me - Daytona Beach, Florida

I came here due to hearing good reviews, but Sissy nails is one of the worst salons I've ever been to. Unprofessional staff, rude receptionists, and HORRIBLE nails. The nail tech (never told me his name) didn't listen to what I wanted (long nude to white, square, acrylic powder ombré with a smooth transition). I got short, coffin shaped, HOT PINK GLITTER to white ombré nails with a ugly line of demarcation and TWO BLOODY FINGERS. Two cuticles were made to bleed with the drill, and I had to ask for bandaids and to please not wipe the blood with a dirty towel. The nail tech brushed cuticle oil over my BLEEDING cuticles and then put the brush back in the bottle-ew. The nails look fine, but not at all what I wanted. It was $50 and should be better. Also, the acrylic is extremely thick, small bubbles are already rising 1 day after they were done, and my cuticles are raw and scabbed. I will never come back and will advise my friends to do the same. read more

I wouldn't have selected NO STARS if it would have let me. ive went to sissy nails since they first opened by Angel and Hannah ... never once had a problem Tim has always done my nailsme until now. refused to fix my nails before the acrylic was even out on. and still will not fit them or refund. this is how nail shops RUIN nail beds! the tips were applied incorrectly and is pulling my nails back.! i hope they get the proper training before they end up seriously hurting someone's hands. HORRIBLE customer service. so sad especially since i had been going there for 7 years. do NOT recommended unless you want lifted mail beds and uneven nails. read more

By far one of the worst experiences I have had for a gel manicure. I went back twice cause it chipped within two days both times. I usually don't get a manicure because I clean for work so this was A treat for the holidays for myself since I had ten days off. Well there is no excuse for this besides crap products. Also a gentlemen that is very unfriendly. I will not make this my normal salon as I was looking for one near home. kindness goes a long way... read more

I hate this nail shop, I've been getting my nails done over twenty years, worst experience I've ever had ,the young lady didn't get my coffin shape right, she made then extremely too long, I told her what I wanted she couldn't get it right and charged me for the length 38 dollars for one set of nails (white tip) too high!!!!! I will never go back!!! I don't care how many promotions they have to drum up customers This place sucks. And too high!!! read more

STAY AWAY! I normally don't leave reviews or even take it this far. But this was horrible. Rude, lazy, flat out rip off. I have never seen a nail shop go so down hill like this one. First experience I had was with the one they call manager, when he put on pink and white instead of American hombre. He became very hostile and rough with me. That session they had to switch me to another nail tech. Because they are so close to my job and convenient. I dare to go in there again today. I I walked in and said I want a fill, toes and eyebrows. Omg they gave the SAME horrible man to me!! I work over 50 hrs a week! I so badly just wanted good service and I would've paid good for it. The same man was so extremely rough and fast on my nails I became nervous and questioned him. He then became defensive and I tried to come to a happy medium by saying I will keep the my thing that I have on now. So he paints on natural acrylic that made my nails look completely yellow all the way through. Nothing American or natural about what he did. When I tried to confront him and the staff they began to be defensive with me. It was a horrible scene. I left there feeling defeated and so very very upset. Do not I repeat myself, do not, do not, do not go to this business. They will rip you off. I am now filing complaints with the better business bureau, every review site they have, and anything else to shut this terrible business down from doing anything like this to any other good customers. Lastly I am local that supports ALL the near by businesses. The coffee shop, laundry mat, dollar general, grocery store- everything in this area. And I have ZERO issues with every body else. Even after I went back and forth for 15 minutes with the staff- asking for a solution, they refused to fix my nails, didn't care and charged me full price for a service that was not correctly and not completed. Today I have to go to a different shop and have my nails fixed. More money and more time. Just save your money or go to Legend nail bar. Zero stars! read more

Don't usually comment online but went out of my way to warn people about how horrible this place is. Would give zero stars if I could! Did a walk in today, the service was brutal. The man doing my nails cut into my fingers multiple times and they are still hurting. The paint job was done sloppy and the tools used unclean and dated. Unprofessional and unhygienic. Generally left depressed by my experience. Would never visit again. read more

I went in asking for the picture on the left but instead was left with the picture on the right. The very next day one of the gems popped off, the other was crooked and the paint started to bubble and chip. My fingers were oddly sore. I had to rush off to work immediately after my appointment but after calling the receptionist and informing him of what was happening he was incredibly rude and accused me looking for a deal on something I "simply didn't like". This was not even close, and the next morning he told me he couldn't get me an appointment with anyone for an hour and pretended not to notice this clearly poor job. I got my nails redone at a different salon where a much more polite and experienced tech informed me that the previous tech place gel OVER my cuticle and that's why I was experiencing pain. I will NEVER set foot at sissy nails again and I will make sure none of my friends or acquaintances do either. I've never had an experience like this in all the years I've gotten my nails done. read more

Lazy employees. It maybe they just had a bad day. Either way I wanted a pedi on like a Tuesday afternoon, they argued over who was gonna taker because it looked like they were all on breaks (5ppl) . Not did I get to soak my feet yet. I couldn't take it- I told the manager, he wanted someone else to take care of my pedi but there was no way I was staying there. I didn't want to be rude to the girl because i thought she was new or her first time doing nails. I called today and asked if they could do something about it and they said it's my fault for not saying anything to the girl when i was just trying to not embarrass her or be rude. the lady at the front desk when i called says it's my fault for not saying anything and she was being extremely rude along with telling me the lady who did my nails did not do anything wrong so they will not fix them. WORST NAIL SALON!!! Dirty, zero customer service, garbage skills. I was lied to by the receptionist and "new"owner who isn't even the owner just watching the shop for two weeks that my nails thy the ' new Owner' who did a crap job on my simple fill in, would be fixed for free NO tried to charge me and I walked out im disgusted. I waited 20 minutes past my original appointment time, sat there 90 minutes for uneven, misshaped, bumpy nails then was lied!!! I called Twice to make sure the mistakes would be fixed free of charge. Angel, Anna, and Hannah are the best nail technicians in Daytona Beach and in the state of Florida, so far this is the best day of my life. At 10 a.m. this morning I sat down in a massage chair that I believe had 10 hands. I totally fell into submission. Anna started On My feet with a lemon Citrus scrub, then finished up with a dripless paraffin wax topped with a nice hot towel to make it alright! By far the worst nail salon I have ever been to. The man that did my nails cut me three times with the drill. One cut got very infected. The level of professionalism and customer service ranks among the worst I've experienced anywhere.. I've never been treated so poorly. There is more to running a great business than just quick turn outs. I should have left after my first impression after seeing one of their employees , clearly sick , get up from a vacant station on the pedicure side and proceed to expel whatever they hacked up in their mouth & spit into their sink. And then just go sit back down. Nail places are a dime a dozen out there. I've taken my business elsewhere. They have lost my business , but even more my respect. read more

My first visit here was awesome. I had a dip powder set done by a very friendly nail tech. Unfortunately, I am allergic to gel polish so, I had to return to have them remove the gel layer and apply gel polish that doe not require UV/LED lights. My second visit was awful, another tech filed the product down too low which caused the polish to be see through. I did not complain because it was my fault that I was not mindful of my allergies. The problem is, the tech was rude. Even so, I left a hefty tip for his time. I went today to have a fill-in. The tech that did this was rude, he snatched my hand several times, he filed my skin and cuticles, and he also COMPLETELY changed the shape of my nails. I am a moron because yet again, I left a nice tip for the time spent as I know it must be annoying to do dip nails when acrylic is easier and takes less time. I am very upset. My thumbnails are now uneven and the shape is completely different. Luckily, I do not live in this state and I will NEVER come back to this salon when I come down here again. The first phot is what my nails originally looked like. The subsequent photos is what I left with today. Very disappointing. read more
