We Plan the Party

We Plan the Party

Five stars isn't enough for the creative team behind 'We Plan the Party', Staci and Phyllis…read more Planning a bar mitzvah party is always a challenge, but especially so during a pandemic. Because of COVID, we were limited to outdoor venues. These two ladies transformed a drab parking lot into a vibrant and fun party area. The vendors they booked were fantastic. Staci and Phyllis thought about every little detail to make the party special-color scheme, branded signs, napkins, and cups. They even brought outdoor games for the kids-giant Jenga and Hacky Sack. This duo was able to put this kiddush lunch together in less than 2 weeks, as we were the first during the pandemic to be allowed to have a kiddush lunch. The other party plans they had as backups were also amazing. Throughout the planning process, they remained calm, and never complained when the pandemic caused us to plan, re-plan, and again re-plan. I couldn't have done this without them and this party made the day extra-special

This party was the chance for me to REALLY see the scope of their services and expertise. In addition to being organized, budget-respectful, efficient, etc., I learned to appreciate what visionaries Staci & Phyllis really are. Thanks to their perspective, our small home and broken-up outside space ended up being the home of a beautifully flowing and festive event. They know how people eat and drink and move and all of that expertise guided our decisions.

The Simple Luxe

I had such a wonderful experience working with The Simple Luxe for my son's first birthday party…read morethat was farmers market themed! From start to finish they were incredibly easy to communicate with- responsive, attentive, and truly listened to what I wanted. Lisa and her team brought my vision to life, and it was even better than I imagined. What really stood out was their willingness to work within our budget without compromising on quality or creativity. They not only designed and set up all the balloons, backdrops, installations but they also spent extra time helping me decorate and design the farmers market with the custom gifts I made and/or purchased for my guests. The entire process felt stress-free and enjoyable. Everything turned out beautifully and we received so many compliments. I am truly honored to be The Simple Luxe's first farmers market themed client and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a talented, reliable, and kind vendor who goes above and beyond. If you have been following them on social media like I was and have an upcoming event - reach out to them and get a quote! You will not be disappointed!

We had an amazing experience with The Simple Luxe for our daughter's first birthday wildflower…read moretheme. Their designer, Lisa, truly brought our vision to life. We also wanted to include our late dog in the design, and she incorporated him so beautifully. Seeing the attention to detail in their previous work is what convinced us to move forward, and all of our guests were blown away by how everything turned out. Jasmine was also a pleasure to work with. She was very communicative, easy to talk to, and made the entire process stress-free from start to finish. She really listened to our ideas, gave us time to make decisions, and helped us stay within our budget. Huge thanks to the setup and cleanup team as well. They were punctual and respectful of the time we had the venue booked. My wife and I would definitely recommend The Simple Luxe to anyone (if it's within your budget). Their hard work and dedication to their clients truly shows in their work.

It must be gorgeous at night too, there's an extended patio from the bar with a fireplace and firepit. But my party of three met for brunch at 2 pm. With a reservation made off their website. SERVICE: The young man at reception was nice, and although our table was ready we were directed to the bar with apologies as there were several rooms of special events, a birthday and a celebration of life, so the limited wait staff was swamped. Was the explanation. We ask to be seated at our table so we could just enjoy the marina and wait for an available server, but we were kindly asked to wait at the bar. Not being bar people. We just stood nearby and studied the menu. He did come to fetch us. Our server Briana (Brie) was wonderful...helpful, as attentive as she could be considering the servers were spread thin over a very busy large restaurant...friendly. Fyi: Two menus. Brunch menu and an all-day menu. The brunch menu ends at 3 pm. The all-day starts at 3 pm. So basically it's not all day, we were told we can't order from the all day menu until 3 pm. If that's true, then it's not really an all day menu. But I suppose that's nitpicky and it's a lovely albeit humid Sunday afternoon. I take a star off since it was 2:30 pm. And we still couldn't order off the all-day menu. FOOD. The Arnold Palmers were refreshing. 5/5. My friend had the Eggs Benedict with a protein, salmon. she enjoyed it. I ordered off the sides menu assembling ny own breakfast - scrambled eggs, apple sausage, and potatoes. All okay, except the half-cut potatoes, overly fried, very very very very dry, unpleasant to eat even hard to cut.. this batch should not have been plated. The unappetizing poitatoes 1/5 . My other friend fared better with the parmesan fries, though the alioli sauce was goopy and dark like pudding, start to have it on the side so she could avoid it. I tried it. It tasted fine, truffle gave it the dark appearance....not pretty to look at but fine 3/5 for the sauce, 5/5 for the fries with parm. Food overall, not the reason you come here, the food is passable granted we couldnt order from the other menu. But ovetall the food is okay. Order drinks and apps, you'll be happy. One star off for those potatoes. Parking us free. Reservations recommended. tip: you can see the water and boats from every table, better to choose a table away from the perimeter because that glass wall prevents the breeze and on a hot sunny humid day, you want to feel the breeze or you cook sitting next to the glass even outdoors. Just saying. More breeze sitting away from the glass windows. 3 star food, 5 star ambiance.
