Five stars isn't enough for the creative team behind 'We Plan the Party', Staci and Phyllis…read more Planning a bar mitzvah party is always a challenge, but especially so during a pandemic. Because of COVID, we were limited to outdoor venues. These two ladies transformed a drab parking lot into a vibrant and fun party area. The vendors they booked were fantastic. Staci and Phyllis thought about every little detail to make the party special-color scheme, branded signs, napkins, and cups. They even brought outdoor games for the kids-giant Jenga and Hacky Sack. This duo was able to put this kiddush lunch together in less than 2 weeks, as we were the first during the pandemic to be allowed to have a kiddush lunch. The other party plans they had as backups were also amazing. Throughout the planning process, they remained calm, and never complained when the pandemic caused us to plan, re-plan, and again re-plan. I couldn't have done this without them and this party made the day extra-special

In addition to being organized, budget-respectful, efficient, etc., I learned to appreciate what visionaries Staci & Phyllis really are. They know how people eat and drink and move and all of that expertise guided our decisions.

From start to finish they were incredibly easy to communicate with- responsive, attentive, and truly listened to what I wanted. Lisa and her team brought my vision to life, and it was even better than I imagined. What really stood out was their willingness to work within our budget without compromising on quality or creativity. They not only designed and set up all the balloons, backdrops, installations but they also spent extra time helping me decorate and design the farmers market with the custom gifts I made and/or purchased for my guests. The entire process felt stress-free and enjoyable. Everything turned out beautifully and we received so many compliments. I am truly honored to be The Simple Luxe's first farmers market themed client and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a talented, reliable, and kind vendor who goes above and beyond. If you have been following them on social media like I was and have an upcoming event - reach out to them and get a quote! You will not be disappointed!

We also wanted to include our late dog in the design, and she incorporated him so beautifully. Seeing the attention to detail in their previous work is what convinced us to move forward, and all of our guests were blown away by how everything turned out. Jasmine was also a pleasure to work with. She was very communicative, easy to talk to, and made the entire process stress-free from start to finish. She really listened to our ideas, gave us time to make decisions, and helped us stay within our budget. Huge thanks to the setup and cleanup team as well. They were punctual and respectful of the time we had the venue booked. My wife and I would definitely recommend The Simple Luxe to anyone (if it's within your budget). Their hard work and dedication to their clients truly shows in their work.

She started working with us over a year in advance (I was a nervous bride!) and kept us on track throughout the whole process. Part of the reason I hired a wedding planner was so that none of the stress fell back on our families, and I have to say it was such a blessing to have her. Our families got to enjoy the process and relax knowing there was someone with great experience handling every detail. I went with most of the vendors Jessica recommended and truly have nothing but great words to say about them as well. That is a perk of having her - she knows great people and works so well with them. As someone who really had no idea about the wedding process, and as a couple who had no "vision" other than great food and a good party, she was the best thing for us! She helped us create a theme that was reflective of us as a couple, and helped us with all of the hundreds of decisions that come along with wedding planning. Food: Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. The Huevos Rancheros was awesome and good (5 out of 5). Jammy over easy eggs pled right into my sauced up tortilla chips. The side of beans were spot on with it. Also the Bloody Mary is bloody darn good with a big slice of bacon backing that up. The fish tacos were delicious as well as the Eggs benedict. Star of the show was the big cinnamon roll with its oozy-gooey goodness. A must for brunch and they do sell out. Service: Great service and full water glasses. Fast, efficient, friendly, and upscale. Ambiance: Enjoying brunch with ocean breezes and views. How can a day get better than that unless you hate the ocean?!? Always a great atmosphere at the Strand House.

There's metered parking in the lower lots that's convenient. The menu here is pretty extensive, but we got to order a number of things. My favorite was the french fries, they were well fried and seasoned. They came with a ton too! We couldn't even finish it. Their bluefin tuna was really good too and they also offered to make it GF for people in our party. Their yellowtail crudo was a bit too fishy for us. Their octopus was really great as well! For entrees, I tried the salmon and the short rib. The salmon was cooked well, but a really small portion for the price. The veg with it was a bit too acidic for me. The short rib and potatoes were amazing! Would definitely order again!

Our graduation party was on a Friday, and I called Mike just a couple of days before. We were able to coordinate and have it all booked for my event. Each with its own set of cars and course. I want to say the person who arrived and assisted the children in their play, I think his name is Bryan? Sorry it escapes me at the moment, but he was great! He made sure they played safely and interactively, and he was in the mix showing them how to use each one of the stations. He was on time, set up everything independently and quickly.
