We hired Betty from UniqueChic as our day of coordinator and she did a wonderful job. On top of that we hired her pretty close to our wedding date and the amount of planning needed to be done was quite a lot, however she was able to manage it all. She was able to coordinate with our other vendors to keep everyone on the same page. Here are our top three reasons why we loved and appreciate Unique Chic's services: 1. The communication: Betty was always available to speak with us. Of course we were a nervous wreck and called/emailed quite often. Not once did we feel like we were pushed away or put on the back burner. After each call or email we were at ease because all of our questions were answered. In addition, the response time was impressive and that we did not have to wait for more than a day to hear back from Betty. If she wasn't available at that moment, the other staff members were able to answer our questions right away and pick up right where we left off. 2. Betty's expertise and suggestions: The advice she had given us was priceless. She was always willing to work with us and our budget. She helped with our decoration idea and was not afraid to let us know there were better options to capture our vision. In no way did she pressure us out of our comfort zone and press us to rent or add on more of their services. 3. Their services: in addition to the day of coordination service we also rented some of their decorations and supplies. UniqueChic is the full package service all in one location. We hired Unique Chic in June 2025 for our wedding earlier this month. We used them for our chairs, charger plates, cutlery set, wall draping, and florals. When they were all put together, it looked BEAUTIFUL. There's no doubt they use good quality items. BUT here is what to beware of - Hidden Fees & Last Minute Fees with no explanation. When asked for a price breakdown for added fees, they cannot provide that. Additionally, they need to improve at making sure everyone on the team is well versed on the prices and accurately charges for items to ensure that you get what you think you're paying for. Also, beware of the possible inconvenience of being asked to drive a floral vase to their base location in Duarte 2 days before your wedding, despite having been asked a month prior if they needed anything extra from you. Also, beware of late delivery, as we had florals delivered after the start of our event. I will say that Luz did issue us a refund for missing items, which is appreciated, but just be aware of these things. The production is good, but the customer service needs work. read more

Had an awful experience with this business. We had planned and pre-paid for rental chairs for a very special event and this vendor not only no showed, they failed to provide any notice. My coordinator tried multiple attempts to call them but nobody answered. So as we scrambled to find a solution, we finally heard back from the company AFTER the start of the event with an apathetic email. Regardless of what the issue might have been, they owed us a phone call informing us what had happened and a solution. I contacted Unique and they delivered 270 chivari chairs to the club at 3:00 on a Friday and picked them up at 8:00am on Sunday morning. The chairs were beautiful with full cushions. We booked Unique Chic for some drapes to make our restaurant venue a clean, separate space for our wedding reception. They came and measured the space, and offered a decent price comparable to other businesses. I didn't see them during setup/clean up of course, but they did the job and did it well. My only complaint was it was hard to reach them sometimes and my wedding coordinator also commented that she had trouble reaching out to them. ------- --DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS ---------- We rented and paid in full, 70 chairs for our Wedding Anniversary dinner. We had multiple confirmations leading up to our event. And on the day of our event, this business NO SHOWED/NO CALLED! We tried calling the business several times in desperation and no one picked up. 1.5 hours after our event start time, we received this email: "we apologize for the inconvenience. There was an issue with our system and your event was not scheduled on our delivery schedule. Management will be resolving this issue and further assisting you". In what service industry standard do you send an EMAIL like this rather than a call explaining what occurred and what immediate recovery steps and solutions are in place! We had months of preparation for this big venue, which was planned around a FORMAL SIT DOWN DINNER. We had families and friends flying in from out of town. Imagine the disbelief realizing that we won't have chairs for our dinner just an hour prior to our event! It's one of those moments you only hope is a big joke. Surprise, their management didn't care to call us first thing next morning- the very least they could do to begin repairing this damage. It took several unanswered calls and emails for them to issue a refund. And they offered a discount to their next service. Did this discount come with a slap in the face? Who in their right mind would ever consider using this business? Failed delivery may be blamed to their incompetent staff. I found Unique Chic Events through Instagram and reached out regarding the decor for my wedding. From the start of working with them, up to my wedding day, everything ran smoothly. We worked with Betty and she was so nice, easy to reach, and always returned my messages promptly. She did a mock set up prior to the wedding so we were all on the same page the day of the wedding. They did all the decor on our tables (center pieces, charger plates, linen and napkins), cake table decor, and welcome table decor. I just got married a few months ago, August 15, 2015 to be exact and I had around 350 guests. I knew what I wanted right from the beginning and was looking to have my outside venue look amazing, completely transformed and have my guests feel very welcomed, organized and just wanted them to leave saying this was the wedding of the year! I came across Unique Chic events in Downtown LA. I loved everything they had in their showroom I spoke to Luz maybe 3 times before we actually signed a contract and the result was just amazing. We ended up getting Luz to be our coordinator for that day and got several things from her showroom ( chiavari chairs, our main table decorated, a few white leather sofas, decorated our stage and decorated our entrance and a few other things). It was an amazing experience although I have to say it's not cheap but hey if you're looking for quality and things to get done right, you need to invest a bit more, you won't regret it! Everything down to the last bit was super organized, everything I had ordered was there on time and unique chic events worked great with my other vendors. They were very strict on timing but if we decided to wait on something they would rearrange our schedule and continue with the program. recommend their work and will be using their services for my sister's big 15 birthday party this coming year. Beware of this Company especially Josh and Hilary. I had the worst experience from them. Very unreliable and undependable. I have been communicating with Josh through e mails and phone calls. First of all, their customer service is terrible. They never answer the phone when you call their number and if you are lucky, they will return your call after several hours. I emailed Josh telling him that i am intersted to visit their showroom because I am interested in seeing what i was planning to rent from them which was the green wall hedge and wireless uplights. He said that they dont have a display of the green wall in their showroom but they have the uplight for me to see. I explained to him that I wanted to visit their showroom to get other ideas besides th uplights. So I asked for their address and bussiness hours. He said they are opn M-F from 10am -5pm. I told him I will visit next week. So last monday March 18, i drom all the way from LA to their showroom in Duerte which is a 40 minute drive. I arrived at their showroom at 10:05 am. He told me and also on their website that they open at 10am. But the place is closed. I waited another 15 mins for them to open cause in my mind since i drove 40 mins, I should just wait for them to open. But after 15 mins of waiting, i decided to call Josh to tell him that i am at their office and have been waiting 15 mins, asking why are they not open and what should i do? I tried to call him twice, but never got an answer back from him. Imagine, this is supposed to be a business that they are running. Around 10:30, a lady arrived and opened the door. I asked what happened and why do they open late , not according to their schedule. So i told her that I have talked with Josh regarding the uplight that i wanted to see. Im intersted to see how bright it is and the different color of lights it gives. So she took the uplight and said, its NOT charged ,so you cant see how it works. I explained to her that i talked with Josh about this and i drove 40 mins from LA just to see the uplight on how it works. Without even apologizing, she said " you can just check the picture on our website and see it there" I said OMG, why would i drive all the way from LA and tell me to just check it on their website. At this point, i was really very upset and frustrated. I asked, pls contact Josh and I want to talk to him. She said she does not have his phone number. I said, he is your supervisor and you cant call him right now? She said in a strong tone "NO" . So i said this is terrible to treat a prospective customer like this. I just left and for the last time before i left I told and begged her again to give the mesaage to Josh to call me. Well, after 2 days now. I never did receive a call from Josh. This is the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life, not returning calls and unreliable and undependably business operating hours. Beware of their service, I work for CBS studio and i will make sure to give them my experience and review on all social media , instagram, facebook, yelp and all other media . I've been trying to set appt with the designer Luz for almost a month. Monday's are my only days off and Luz doesn't work on Mondays. I live in the ventura county, eventually I finally got an appt. My fiancé and I showed up to our appt that was set 2 weeks ahead. We manage our timing of driving to be on time. But I should've taken my sweet ass time because Luz was 40 min late!!! I was so upset her assistant couldn't even get a hold of her. Finally when Luz came in she didn't apologize or anything, she introduce herself and that's it. Her assistant end up telling us about the packages and said oh u could've just talked to me bout that and didn't need to wait on Luz. Omfg!! I should've booked it when I was waiting and overheard her assistant saying their company is being sued! That was my red flag. Had a terrible experience with Unique Chic! My platter for the cake was not what I ordered. My long table for my daughters quince was also not done properly! They forgot to bring the sequined table cloth and did not properly decorate tablecloth in front. There was only one person working on the chandeliers. I felt sorry for the guy but I felt more sorry for myself paying for something I didn't get and only receiving back $120.00 from paying over $3,000.00. If your event is important to you, beware! This is an amateur company that represents themselves as a professional one. I signed a contract to have decor set up for an event at a hotel and Josh's two employees were late and unprepared. They couldn't set up the decor I paid for because they were sent to do a job they didn't understand. Josh offered excuses why they couldn't fulfill the contract. Only excuses. He said he'd refund $500 of the $1385 (I had already paid) but he has not refunded any amount. He is not answering any of my follow-up emails to collect the $500. I am only left to warn others of the horrible practices of this company. read more

We came in to meet for a day of coordinator and ended up with rentals, coordinator, desserts, and had the pleasure to work with Maggie. Maggie was there from the start to finish; she had the best respond time when it came to emails and phone calls. For an entire year I would stop by the store and her kindness and sweet personality had my husband and I at ease, she goes above and beyond with what she does. Luz was the coordinator and went out of her way to our venue for a visit and on the wedding day she was one of the last ones to leave, she made sure everything was returned to the correct vendors and made sure nothing was left behind. Usually you see brides running around trying to solve/answer any issues/questions that arise on that day, but a lot of our guest complimented us on hiring Maggie and Luz, everyone noticed that we enjoyed our day and it was because they had everything under control. My wife and I rented tables, linens, chairs, table settings, dishware, and string lights for our June 2022 wedding at LA River Center & Gardens, and couldn't have been happier with Unique Chic. First off their prices were considerably lower than other rental companies we got quotes from. They were also flexible and understanding when we had to postpone due to covid. A couple weeks before the wedding, Ivette stayed late at the Unique Chic office to meet with us, update our order, and show us the items to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. We appreciated that they called us a day or two before the wedding to confirm very specific final details including exactly how the napkins were to be folded. On the day of, the crew was there unloading the very second our venue access began. Everything was set up on time and we couldn't have been happier with how everything looked! Before the wedding we admittedly saw a few negative yelp reviews, which made us a bit nervous. All I can say however is that we personally were very satisfied with both price and service, and I would even say that Unique Chic exceeded our expectations more than any other vendor we hired for our wedding. I hired this company for decor for my birthday party in November 2014 and paid for delivery and pick up as part of my contract. When their delivery man arrived despite the fact I had a signed contract detailing my prepaid order, he brought the wrong lounge furniture and one of the tables was damaged. As it was merely hours before my event I made do with what was delivered but was due a refund since they had previously charged my credit card for the correct order. After many emails and calls they sent me a check for my refund (since even though they charged my credit card for the rental payment, they were unable to simply credit my card my refund amount) only 2 and 1/2 months later I received my refund check (due to the check being sent to the event location, etc., etc., etc.) and I deposited it. After all of the headache THE CHECK BOUNCED! Apparently not only can these people not read a contract but they must not be very good at accounting either. I am not sure how Unique Chic Events stays in business. But I would never use them again or recommend this business to anyone. read more

Unique chic events has a lot of variety for wedding/event decor...when planning my wedding I made sure to walk into their showroom every time I was in the DTLA area for inspiration. Which was a little dangerous because every time I went they had something new I wanted to add to my wedding. But that just shows how on top they are about upcoming wedding trends. I rented a loveseat for my wedding, but like a week before my wedding my venue informed me that it would not fit on the stage where i was going to have my sweat heart table, so unfortunately I had to cancel my loveseat. But I had thought I was going to loose my deposit since it was so late minute but they were very understanding and they let me use my deposit towards another item.
