If you're going to have any size party, I would highly recommend Jana and her amazing team. We threw a kids birthday party and Jana was so helpful in determining how many helpers we'd need. Our helpers Morgan and Nadia were super helpful and they gave us the opportunity to enjoy our party. They were detailed in their work and always proactive about doing things that would help make our party go smoothly. I would say our party was a great success in part to our awesome helpers. Thanks guys, I'm booking you guys for our next party! read more

I was in need of an extra set of hands at our 60+ person party. A friend highly recommended "A-List". Jana was super responsive and was able to book me the amazingly helpful and totally on it Laurie. Party went on without a hitch thanks to her. I even had friends and family mention how wonderful she was. Thank you A-List and Laurie!!! read more

Jana and her team is Amazing, we just had a baby shower for our daughter and our first grand baby that is coming soon. It was absolutely beautiful and having Jana help me again for the second time hosting my events has been very helpful and making the events a great success. Having a bartender at your events is a great hit for your parties. The last event me and my husband hosted our 30 year anniversary vow renewal, and it was fun beautiful as well. We had Jana send us a bartender, a grill master Chef and someone to help us serve and cleanup. I cannot tell you how wonderful that was to have all of the help that I needed. It is all so worth the money. I can't wait to use her team again. This is the best party staffing coming around. Thank you! Jana for all you help with sending us great people in your staff and making sure that we are very happy. read more

A-List Party Staffing Service - A list bartender. - Party & Event Planning Near Me

First let me say this - Jasmine was the best person we've EVER had helping us with a party. She was incredibly polite, friendly, professional and hard-working, and she really made the evening fantastic for us and our guests. And Jana was amazing too - communicative, quick, professional, friendly - and made our booking and experience so easy, straight-forward, and perfect, which I always love. We have another party in a few months, and I'll definitely be calling Jana and A-List Party Staffing to help us with that too. read more

We hired A List for a party this past weekend. $35 per hour for one worker. She did an excellent job. It was a small party with catered food. The hired help was just expected to add more food to the buffet when it got low and take out the trash. It was a very low stress gig. We were very pleased with what she did. But then after it was over, I was told that a minimum of $50 was required for a tip. That's a 30% tip. The owner even called me to explain that if I didn't give such a big tip, it means that I thought the worker did a horrible job. She did a great job, and I tipped her that amount but not knowing that it was going to cost an additional 30% is significant. Anyway, would I recommend the service, yes. But just know that a 30% tip is expected and they'll even call you and try to make you feel bad for it. In the paper work, it does say that a $50 tip is average. It seems that they don't understand what the word average means because they think it means minimum. She told me that some of her clients tip $100 and $150 sometimes. Well I don't know how big those parties were, how long those parties lasted or what they were required to do, but apparently they don't take that into consideration. So think twice about hiring these guys if it's just a small get together like we had. They'll expect you to tip like you had them walking up flights of stairs, serving hundreds of guest. smh read more

Recently used A List for my wedding. Cannot speak highly enough of them! Booking was super easy and very thorough. I felt like I was kept in the loop every step of the way. They asked for lots of details, including things I wouldn't have thought to tell them. Day of the event, staff showed up early and were very professional. They found out exactly what my bride wanted to drink and were ready and waiting to serve her a glass when we sat down to dinner. Bottom line they were a pleasure to deal with and would definitely use them again! read more

I just celebrated my 50th bday this past Saturday. When I called to make the reservation the lady on the phone who I assume is the owner was great. It was easy to make the reservation and she explained thoroughly what the server would be expected to do. Myla the server showed up on time and she was amazing!!! She was on top of everything!! Thank you Myla! I definitely recommend this company. read more

I only wish I could give more stars! I was putting on a charity event and had the crazy idea that I would do all the cooking and serve a plated dinner to 30+ guests, which was a little daunting. Jana was super responsive and assured me I was in good hands, and she was right. The staff were so capable and professional, and took excellent care of my guests. They thought of little details I had overlooked and really added value to the event. I can't recommend this company highly enough, and will probably never throw another party without them. Big, big thanks to Myla, Jackie, and Tayah. read more

Jana is excellent to work for. She truly takes care of her employees and I felt appreciated and grateful for the opportunity to advance to banquet captain!! She has an amazing captain who I had the privilege of being mentored by also! read more

I contacted Jana to book a bartender and kitchen helper for my recent house warming party. I am so glad I used this service because the staffers she sent were amazing! I'm the type of person who will obsess and micro-manage the staffers but Christos, the kitchen helper, was so proactive and reliable that I was able to get out of the kitchen and have fun at my own party. Also, everyone loved the drinks that Roy was mixing up and the whole party ended up being a big hit. Big thanks to this company! read more

For the first time in 8 years my wife/I actually enjoyed our own party!! It's an annual tradition where I do all the cooking, and we invite over about ~25 of our closest friends to celebrate in our small condo. On a whim, I found and called A-List. Jana (the owner) was great - and we booked Jean and Emily. In the past, I would have to spend almost the entire time in the kitchen not leaving until our friends with young kids had already left. This time, I got to ENJOY the party, and the staying up until 2 or 3am to clean-up?! NOPE! Jean & Emily, served and cleaned as they went. HIGHLY recommend and I already pre-booked them for next year! read more

We used A-List Party Staffing for the first time on Saturday for a holiday party we hosted. We needed a server/waitress for a party of about 25 people. Rowan was a consummate professional, reliable, quick, friendly and a pure pleasure to work with! It was so nice to enjoy our party without having to worry about washing dishes, re-filling food, picking up messes, keeping the ice bucket full, etc. We were very pleased and will always use A-List Party Staffing whenever we need staffing for parties. read more

Terrible! Jana was responsive when I needed to book and pay and when I had to cancel the event because of rain she did not respond until the day of the event to tell me she was keeping 100 percent of what I paid. She told me she doesn't "work" weekends or check her phone before 7 am so she did not get my messages that the event was not going to happen until the day of the event. Truly disappointing customer service. Will never use this company again. read more

I was the wedding planner for my own wedding which happened on a very compressed timeframe. In a bit of a panic with three days to go, I called three different bartender services and A List was the first one to respond. Jana, the owner, was speedy and simple. I had the contract waiting before I got home from work. On the day of, the bartender showed up on time, was extremely thorough, skilled and professional, was a hit with the guests and did an over-and-above job of cleaning up when done. In addition to the drinks, he also took care of the cake and swag bags, too. I would not hesitate to recommend A List, I am completely satisfied. read more

We hired A-List Party Staffing Service to do our sons wedding. Jana and her team went above and beyond our expectation. Jana was very professional. The whole business transaction was done smoothly. She worked with us from beginning to end, from planning to implementation, to make our son's wedding reception a perfect event. Roy, the team captain, was great. All the staff were very professional and fun (great dancers too... LOL!). They were so good, we hired them again for the second wedding reception... The bartenders were a hit! Thanks guys! We highly recommend A-List Party Staffing Service. read more

A-List Party Staffing Service - The bartenders were a hit! - Party & Event Planning Near Me

This company is majorly lacking in customer service. I attempted a booking and the person was unhelpful and rude in addition to being overpriced. read more

My husband and I used A-List Party Staff for our wedding last month. I met with Jana, the owner, once to talk about the amount of staff needed for a party with 300 guest. Jana was very knowledgeable and thought about everything that I didnt think of. She was absolutely great. The day of the wedding my coordinator told me that Roy, the captain, exceeded all his expectations. He was extremely efficient and good at what he does. We had a couple of issues with one of the vendors and between Roy and my coordinator they were able to figure everything out with no problem. I really would recommend this Staffing service to others. Totally worth every penny. read more

We used A-List Party Staffing Services again. Jana once again was amazing. She found us a great sous chef for a small dinner party. Roy was awesome! read more

We just had a holiday party with about 40 guests and hired two staff members, one for our bar set up and one to assist with food and other duties. Jeff and Adam were very professional, courteous, and helpful. Jana made the process very easy for us. Will definitely use their services again! read more

This the first time I have used such agency. A-list had reasonable prices and and good reviews. I am so happy with their services, that I will always used them in the future. The bar tender Roy was AMAZIMG-he made so many different drinks with only vodka and some juice It was hard to believe. The other 3 guys helped a lot. They worked very hard, they went the extra mile and arranged everything really well. All I had to do is show up to my own party and have fun. They took care of everything else. Thank you A-list! read more

YAAAY for Jana (owner) Hip-hip hooray for Roy and April (wait staff) who were absolutely phenomenal. That is not an exaggeration either! I had a 50th Birthday Party for my Husband and realized, that my team and I could not do it all and enjoy the party too! I called Jana less than a week before the party and she was able to provide an excellent service with Roy and April. Timely, Professional and so Pleasant. They gave all of our party guest VIP treatment, they assisted with set up, clean up, cake cutting the works! A-List Party Staffing Service is A+, A1 and simply the BEST!! You will not be disappointed. read more

Thanks Jana for the great service you provided for our NYE party! She was easy to speak to and was very timely in finalizing the last minute arrangements. We had a party of about 30 guests and hired one wait staff. Emily was professional, observant and worked hard at our event. She was there to clean up after the guest, replenish any supplies and was of great help. Would definitely use A-List for future events. read more

We had A-List Party Staffing for a party with 70 guests. The Staff showed up on time, looking professional, ready to take direction, and then take charge of their part of the party. They made the buffet table- and the whole room look professionally done and picture perfect. From the bartender handling all the drinks, the workers in the kitchen, to the cutting of the meat, all was done with pride in their workmanship. Jana, The owner called a few times before the party to check in and find out all my needs. I could tell she relayed that information to the staff. Lastly, I have to work with a staff that wants to be there, give it their all, and have a great attitude while doing it. They fulfilled all my criteria easily. I would definitely call A-List for my next party. read more

I had the opportunity to communicate with Jana regarding staff for a last minute event. She was incredibly informative and professional. Unfortunately I hadn't realized someone in the family arranged staff already so we couldn't use "A list", but I can honestly say I am very much looking forward to using them for my next event. If the communications I had were any indication of the end result I'd say they deserve a six star rating! read more

I should start by saying that I didn't actually end up using A-List for my event, BUT I wanted to write this review because I had such a great experience corresponding with Jana, that I thought it warranted a review. I needed only one server for a small wedding that I am having next month. I had emailed a few party staffing companies for quotes and Jana was the very first to respond. We wrote back and forth several times and Jana was always quick to respond with an informative and friendly email. I really appreciated her awesome communication and professionalism. In the end, it turned out that a friend is going to help us out with our event, but had they not, I would have definitely used an A-List and will hopefully be able to work with them in the future! read more

I've used A-List for 4 parties at my home and for 1 fundraiser at my daughters school. Every experience with them has been A+. Always punctual, properly dressed, skilled servers that work quietly, quickly and neatly. I am always impressed with how each representative has always known how and what to do. I get to be a guest at my own event with no stress or concerns. Highly recommend!! read more

Ultimately, we ended up not needing Jana's services, but she was really helpful and patient in all her interactions as we explored various options with her for staffing our event. She was warm and friendly, and went out of her way to try to find the right person for our needs. Jana was professional and unfaltering in her kind demeanor-- and went above and beyond to keep the communication going as we went back and forth about what we needed. (It was a small and intimate family/friend function, and one of our guests, who is a chef, volunteered to do the heavy lifting in the kitchen.) In the future, when we have our next big party, we hope to have an opportunity to use Jana's services. read more

A-List Party Staffing Service saved my wedding day!! Planning my own wedding in the LA area while living in NY was NOT an easy task, and I sought a capable "day-of" wedding coordinator to whom I could pass the proverbial torch and know beyond a doubt that the most important day of my life was in good hands. Jana Rifkin and her team fit the bill! I found A-List right here on Yelp and want to add another 5-star review to encourage others to book A-List. I signed a contract with Jana a few weeks before my wedding; we connected instantly on the phone and she proceeded to shepherd the final planning stages, going above and beyond to make sure every detail of my wedding was exactly the way I wanted it. All I can say is: EXCELLENT!!! On the day of the wedding, we hired another wonderful A-List staff member (Susan) to assist Jana with some of the preparation, execution & service, and the two of them were friendly, down-to-earth, efficient, professional, and might I add, worth every (well-spent) penny. I highly recommend A-List to anyone hosting a party that they want to actually ENJOY (we loved every moment!!) stress-free while Jana and her outstanding staff work their magic to ensure it is the event of your dreams! read more
