Went to Sir Sandwich recently. Unfortunately, it seems to be valet-only parking now. While tipping is labeled as "optional," it definitely feels expected. The parking lot is small, and spaces that used to be available for self-parking appear to have been converted to valet spots. Service is hit or miss--sometimes it's fairly quick, other times noticeably slow. On our most recent visit, we ordered hookah, but the coals were never changed despite the place not being busy. We also ordered a pot of tea. There's plenty of seating, though it feels cramped due to how closely the tables are set up. The environment is pretty chill overall. It's solid for hookah and the cheese pide, nothing fancy. The crowd usually consists of older men, and the place is often full. read more

Forced valet. When I first got there, I was trying to park behind the building where the sign says for customers of Sir. I asked the valet, he said he doesn't know and that I'll be towed. Rude and very poor demeanor. He was screaming on his personal phone when I was trying to ask him a question. The parking used to be in front, now they coned it all off. Tipping was optional but it seemed optional was not the choice. Service was poor, no one was greeting the door. Hookah was terrivle, $20 minimum per person without letting anyone know. I was pleasantly surprised with their buffet. It had fresh breads / pides ranging from cheese to vegetables to minced meat. They had a great assortment of dips like hummus and babaganoush and salads. This place is the definition of a scam wrapped in a bad vibe. First off, they hit you with a $20 minimum per person, but conveniently forget to tell you until after you've ordered. Zero signage, zero warning -- just a surprise charge when it's too late to back out. The hookah? Disgusting. Burnt, harsh, and totally overpriced for the quality (or lack thereof). I've had better hookah from a gas station. The crepes were just as bad -- soggy, bland, and a total afterthought. Whoever's running the kitchen clearly doesn't care. There's no parking, and while they claim to offer free valet, it's anything but. The valet guys will literally hold your car hostage until you show them that you tipped -- and they're not shy about it. It felt like a shakedown at the end of a terrible night. Hands down the BEST Ramadan Iftar buffet in town. I'm happy to update my review of this establishment because they have officially fixed their parking situation; the businesses all have signs now and we were notified ahead of time that their parking valet is complementary. (Last time I was here my car got towed) Their dinner menu and food is A++, customer service is A++ and I love the theme and comfortable furnishings. The servers are all very nice and accommodating and even though the room was full, the volume was controlled. This IS a hookah lounge so be aware that there will 100% be smoking in the room. Although it has high ceilings and ventilation, there will be smoke in the room so if you're not one to smoke, you may want to keep that in mind. read more

The Turkish coffee could have been mixed a bit better! i got the zatar bread with cheese which was super good too! and then my friend ordered me a chicken shwarma sandwhcih to go which was pretty good too! i was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food at the place and would 1000p come back. I love this spot! It's a hidden spot near Tysons but with a great ambience for anyone that wants something relaxing and hookah. Note that they do not serve alcohol (which I prefer!) and the screens are perfect for any game or entertainment. I recommend getting here early as it gets packed pretty quickly at night. read more

Pretty average hookah spot with hit and miss service. Its usually packed whenever I go given that its one of the two most frequented hookah spot in the Tysons Area other than Friends Kabob. They have a pretty extensive menu but the offerings are pretty dim when it comes to taste. I have had their chicken sandwich which is chockful of chicken and garlic sauce (pretty tasty) and chunky fries (you can get their special sauce which is kind of like a chipotle mayo sauce) that are pretty nice. I have also tried the teas and nescafe and they are pretty decent. The hookah is pretty decent and you get coconut charcoal which burns longer. However, they dont usually make rounds to change coals unless you beckon them and I once asked a server to get me sugar and she looked like I had offended her personally lol some servers do put on airs here which makes no sense read more

Came here for a work lunch with 8 colleagues. The inside is fun and decor/ambiance is great especially in a warm day when the back door is open. The food was good, but when closing out, our charges were not adding up. After asking about the inconsistencies, we found the prices listed on the menu were not the prices each person was charged. We were informed the "real" prices are much higher than what is listed on the menu. It was weird that one bothered to explain this (or update the menu??). In addition to the hostess adding the standard 20%, everyone's charges were $10-13 higher than what they should have been based on the menu. If we hadn't asked, we wouldn't have known! This is probably one of my favorite hookah spots in Tyson's! Their hookah is one of the best, and if it doesn't hit properly, they will fix it for you or repack with another flavor, to our liking. Their food options and drinks are great! One time, a friend and I shared the Nutella crepe and it was amazing. We also got the Nutella/Oreo shake and omg, so yummy! We've come multiple times and try to get different drinks/food every time, but we usually go for the Hollumi because it is one of our favorites! Being the only hookah place in our vicinity he visited them quite often, atleast once in a month and they let us down multiple times however last night all limits were crossed. Their valet company tipped the towing company to tow our car at 1am in the night. We were stranded on the street in freezing old, clueless that what could have happened as it was not our first time parking in that very spot. Had to pay 200 bucks to the towing company. A sitting with friends and an order of coffee turned into $185 expense as I found out that my car got towed. There was absolutely no sign outside that I can't park my car there and none of valet people tried to tell me not to or bothered to tell me that my car is being towed. I talked to the admin at Pete's towing company and they told me that I am not the only one that this has happened to there was someone right before me complaining the same. I went back to talk to the valet but they saw me coming from the towing company as it is right in front of Sir. They ignored me at their best. Now I understand that it is Covid and everyone is struggling but I am also one of those everyone and honestly I really am never going back there. Businesses who operate like this don't last. We hit this spot usually once a week for hookah and food. If you get hookah you gotta get the "special head" don't try and figure it out, just take the advice and enjoy! I have had many food items on their menu and they have all been fire! When you come here you def have to try their flatbreads or pizzas. There's something about their guava + mint that makes me want to just keep coming back! (besides the fact that all hookah bars in Maryland are closed for now*) We usually get the glass hookah because 1. it's a better hit 2. the price - $30 for basically 2 bowls? What a steal! During these times, they've implemented that customers sit at every other table and wear masks when not at a table (ie to go to the bathroom). They clean up every table once the customer leaves. I'm glad to know that they are taking these rules seriously! The one and only complaint I do have however is their parking. There's only about 5-7 spots available up front where customers can park. If that's full (which it typically always is), you have to find street parking or park across the street. If parked anywhere else, your car will get towed! I remember when I used to come here and was able to park in the back easily without worrying about my car getting towed. I think it's time for them to start getting more spaces so it's easier for customers to park instead of driving around for 20 minutes looking for parking or waiting for someone to leave. Do not go here for Iftar Buffet - I called several hours in advance asking if there was reservations available and I was told yes there is space. I get a call back really close to iftar time saying I'm actually on the waiting list - and I got no follow up close to iftar time which left us scrambling to find another restaurant to break our fast. It's unfortunate because the food looked good - please don't lie to your customers or build/make a better reservation system. Resy and OpenTable are easy options to integrate, please don't let more Muslims starve or scramble to find alternative options. Hope y'all can improve for the future. read more

Food was okay. We got mix platter. Chicken super dry. Beef koobideh was good. Staff is usually pretty good. Hookah are a miss or a hit. Sometimes they make it really good and sometimes it's just blah Ok so for their parking issue. They don't charge you for the parking but they do ask for tip for something you can do. The carpet place next to Sir (which is also probably owned by the same owner), has parking signs in the entire parking lot! Haven't left a single spot! So you either park all the way in the back which is pretty dark and isolated or you hand over your keys to one of their valet guys who parks it on the exact same space which are reserved for the carpet place!!!! And then they pressure you to give the guys a tip. Cash or Venmo! They have a whole sign printed out for the tips I'm not really a stingy person for paying servers tip. But you book the whole place for parking and put a sign there that towing will be enforced, and then some friends have actually parked there, they informed the towing place right away and got their cars towed!!! So they want you to get the car parked BY THEM AT THE EXACT SAME SPOT, and demand a tip It's just hilarious! I mean how shady. Yesterday after a few people who came there said their cars got towed and I saw my car parked right infront of the entrance by the valet, I got really turned off by this shady situation. I tipped him of course, but i decided there and then I'm not coming back. Hookah could be the best in the DMV if the owner would make some effort in making sure the #1 commodity was serviced with coals regularly by their hookah staff who obviously show they don't care about anyone's experience. Service is slow, which was not strange for a hookah bar! What shocked me was how shady the waitress was! She did not show us how much she was charging us for food! My friend also ordered takeout, again she did not show her how much she was charging her. More interesting she did not bring our receipts! We were so confused! I have never seen such a behavior. We asked for a receipt and she printed the receipts! She charged my friend a $9 tip on the take-out order! Isn't this insane? Also, she charged an 18% tip on each of our foods! BEWARE! This place is a rip off and the staff will try to charge you extra and run off without providing you a receipt because they're purposely charging you for things you didn't even order. I ordered one green tea pot ($16) and a dessert ($12) but they charged me $44, tell me how that adds up. The tea pot was small and only provided a few cups of tea, the dessert was ok but super oily and not worth the cost, let alone getting charged for 3 of them when I only ordered one. The ambiance is a hookah bar so expect to deal with smoke, it's a larger sized room and also Arab owned, you would think they stopped selling coke products due to the boycott but no, of course not, they still sell coke products since they don't care about how they rob customers blind, they also don't care about boycotting products that we shouldn't be purchasing. Trying SIR CO was one of the best experiences I have had in the past year! At first, I was skeptical about the stuff, but they sure proved me wrong; and They turned out to be one of the kindest people you can meet. The area had a power outage, including the restaurant.
