I expected it to be super sweet but it was surprisingly espresso forward, by far the best coffee on the isle. Bowls were quite tasty, if expensive for the size. They had a lot more variety than you'd usually find. I'd recommend trying the coconut base or blue wave base instead of açaí. It was quite busy and they do take a bit of time to get made, so keep that in mind if ordering several. Fun interior with lots of fun places to sit and chill.

The almond butter was the best part -- haven't seen that on my acai bowl before -- I'll definitely be adding that to my acai when I have some at home. Their lattes are the only reason I've knocked it down a star. They are so sugary and essentially taste the same given the sheer amount of milk/sugar. They aren't bad! But the coffee taste is totally overtaken. The inside isn't bad, either. If it gets too crowded, there is space in the back to sit and sip your coffee.

As North Carolina individually awakens s-l-o-w-l-y from the COVID nonsense initiated by our beloved King, excuse me, I meant Governor Cooper, Leslie seemed its time to have a Grand Re-Opening after getting the furniture and other adornments for the store. As the images were taken today demonstrate, all care has been done to ensure that the current requirements for the safety of the customer and staff have been done, including separating the small tables from each other and allowing no more than 15 people in the store at any one time. Now, the inside remains warm and friendly with the aforementioned (see my previous review) art displayed prominently above the servers. Leslie has gathered a great team that brings the sunshine inside, no matter the weather outside. They are very friendly and helpful in answering any questions; it's like coming home after a long trip. It was a long drive from our home outside Wilmington, but oh, it was so worth it! I had a Pineapple Upside Down smoothie, and it put me right side up with the combination of flavor and texture. All that was missing (perhaps) was a wee dram of rum for that sailor-loving kick, but as they do not have a license to dispense such, I had to go without. Honestly, it was not all that great a burden to bear as the smoothie was delicious. Alas, it did not last long enough, but it did leave me with fond memories of our all-too-short relationship. Maybe I can get a double next time? Wonderful folk serving a beautiful product with an incredible variety that is sure to please any taste; this is the place to be if you live or are planning a visit to the Morehead City area.

I do not normally drink these shakes so when I was describing the shake (thinking milk shake) she explained that it was a nutrition drink and was not made with milk but with protein. I learned something new. I decided to try the lemon blueberry shake. It looked really good but I did not taste any lemon. Truthfully, it tasted more like birthday cake. I guess I am not a fan of this type of drink but I can see how people would enjoy it. Staff was very nice and helpful. Two costs for a shake, either $8 or $10 They have many different flavors to choose from along with many flavors of teas. The do not have a website but listed on their Facebook it says it is a Health food store. I don't remember seeing any food, only drinks and a tiny package for $3.50 that was a proteins snack bar. I can't find a picture of the list of flavors and wish I had taken a picture for you all. I believe the store is less than a year old. It is next door to a nail salon in the Food Lion shopping center. If you like this kind of drink I would say at least give them a try.

I'm a local music teacher, and I often meet potential clients here instead of Starbucks because I'd much rather support a local business. This morning (7/31/26 around 9:00 AM), I had my two girls with me, ages 3 and 1. I completely understand this coffee shop is geared more toward adults, and I don't expect anyone else to parent my children. With a little supervision, though, they're usually happy to sit in the front area with a pastry and hot chocolate while I meet my client, who today was a no show lol. Today, my hands were obviously full with a baby on my hip, so I was microwaving cinnamon rolls one at a time while making sure my 3-year-old wasn't getting into anything. That's just part of being a mom, and I didn't mind doing it. What stood out was that when I asked if there were any napkins, I was told, "Nope, I think we're out." I assumed someone might grab a paper towel or another option from the back, but after waiting a few minutes while my daughter kept saying, "Mommy, sticky," I realized that wasn't happening. I finally just told her to wipe her hands on my pants because we didn't have anything else. Then I went looking for utensils to make things a little less messy and found only one fork, so my daughter and I shared it. I know these seem like small things, but my family owned a restaurant growing up, so I also know how much the little moments shape whether someone feels cared for. We live in an area with a lot of young families, and even small gestures like having napkins stocked, keeping utensils available, or offering a paper towel when someone is clearly juggling little kids can make people feel genuinely welcomed. I'll absolutely continue coming back because I really enjoy supporting your business and bringing my students there for meetings. I just wanted to share this experience because I thought it was something the owner would want to know. I hope it's received in the spirit it's intended: not as a complaint, but as feedback from someone who truly wants to see this place continue to succeed.
