As a boba lover, this is by FAR the best boba I've had in Jacksonville! It's also the only place I've found that offer custard as a topping, a topping I've only been able to get in ASIA! Super happy I gave this place a try as they will now be my favorite place to go to. They didn't have brown sugar syrup for my favorite drink style but Kimberly recommended me something similar. The tea is strong enough to taste and the boba is cooked perfectly. They have a sweetness scale and my half sweet passion fruit green tea was on point. I'm considering moving to Jacksonville so that I can be a regular! Turns out the owner's a sweet military couple, who also grew up in the same area. They know how good boba is supposed to be. Just like the boba shops there, you can customize your drink to the level of sweetness that suits you. Drinks can either be made with a water or tea base. They'll be adding more healthy drinks in the future, like pennywort and chrysanthemum tea. I can already hear my mom bugging me to drink more of these to balance out the fire in my body. I chose the milk tea with 50% sweetness with boba and aloe. My son got a strawberry smoothie with added strawberries. My daughter chose passion fruit with boba. If you like your sweetened ice teas then choose 100% sweet. I still want to taste the flavor of the tea, so 50% is just right for me. What I'm waiting for is the food. In the father future, they plan to add snack foods like popcorn chicken. I CAN'T wait! Feeling nostalgic already! I hope they make tea infused foods to go along with their yummy drinks! So glad to see old fashioned board games at each table. With all these millennials on their iPhone, it'll be a pleasant change to see some dialogue and old fashion fun for a change. Drinks are inconsistent. What I order today will not taste the same if I order the same thing tomorrow. On the other hand, the boba was subpar at best. I'm not sure if it was undercooked or what, but it was somewhat reminiscent of a Swedish Fish candy left on the shelf for way too long. I ended up pinching my straw as I drank in order to avoid eating them. However, it did seem like they were having an off day as one of the workers spilled matcha all over the floor in the back, so I'll chalk it up to that and give it another try when I come back over here. One neat thing I did notice was that they use bamboo straws as an environmentally-conscious option. It also seemed pretty clean, save for a fly or two buzzing around. First of all whenever I come they are never open. Sometimes they just close randomly. Also their menu is just really weird to me and different from other boba tea places I've been to. Today I asked for a lavender milk tea and the drink they gave me tasted absolutely nothing like lavender. Just takes like a regular milk tea unflavored. I asked for them to add more lavender but the lady said adding more lavender would make the drink taste gross and she suggests next time I should just order another drink.
