I've been to a few paint and sip classes with other companies. I decided to give this one a try for…read moremy sister's birthday. I didn't have any issues registering. This was a little different than the other ones. In those classes it's a guided step by step process to create your painting and everyone is painting the same thing. In this class you have the choice of three paintings which did confuse me a bit because I wasn't sure how we were going to be guided through the process if people were creating different ones. You come and choose a small picture of the one you want to paint then find a seat. It starts with a intro of the instructor and the studio. Then he gives some painting tips and techniques then you are on your own. This wasn't what I was used to. You really have to channel your creativity which wasn't easy for me. The instructor does come around to assist if you are stuck and need help. It wasn't easy at all. I left with a headache but I did feel very accomplished. If you are looking for a most relaxed, laid back, show me what to do kind of class then this one isn't for you. If you want to unleash your creative powers you'll have more flexibility in this class. It was fun but I'll be sticking with the step by step class.

He showed us a few techniques at the beginning of the class and then sent us on our way. He walked around the room and offered feedback and advice throughout the class. (Note that if you are looking for step-by-step instruction, this is NOT the class for you.) If we return, it will be because Kqwon created a fun and inspiring atmosphere. ABTG's customer service however, is disappointing. The response-time is slow and the responses are often not personalized. My originally-scheduled class was cancelled (for understandable reasons) and I was never notified, despite the fact that ABTG had two emails on file for me. It is hard to find classes on Saturdays/Sundays that are not sold out (they seem to be sold out almost immediately after they're posted). If you're not looking at the website when they post them, you will probably be left with the option of attending on a weekday night or a Saturday from 10pm to 1am. My only other gripe is that the free "glass" of wine that they advertise is actually a shot glass of wine, literally, about 1 oz. Again, if I return, it will be because of Kqwon.

We booked a premium, full-service package for a team-building afternoon, but instead of relaxing, my team spent the entire time stressing, moving boxes, and cleaning up after the staff we hired. We aren't trying to be difficult clients; we simply wanted the service we paid for. Instead, we faced a massive burden: The setup was chaotic and late: For a group our size, the policy is a 40-80 minute setup window. The facilitator didn't show up until 1:33 PM for a 2:00 PM start. Her assistant didn't arrive until after the event started. We were left watching the clock, wondering if our event was even going to happen. We had to manage their logistics: The assistant arrived late and without ID. Since we are in a secure office building, she couldn't get in. Instead of the vendor handling this, my team had to stop what they were doing, leave the event space, and go down to the lobby to retrieve her and haul up the supplies she was carrying. Dismissive attitude: Mistakes happen, but the facilitator's attitude made it worse. She was dismissive about being late and shockingly unhelpful regarding her own assistant's supplies. At one point, when asked about the materials her assistant brought, she refused to help, telling us she "couldn't hang onto that." It felt like we were imposing on her, rather than the other way around. My team did the physical labor: Because they were so behind, the setup wasn't done until 2:30 PM--30 minutes into our paid time. To save the event, my colleagues and I had to step in and physically unpack boxes, set up stations, and distribute materials. We paid for a full-service event but ended up doing the heavy lifting ourselves. Contract issues: We paid extra for the "all new supplies" option so our team could keep their materials. Despite this, the facilitator packed up and took many of the paints and brushes back with her. They walked out on the mess: Despite the event starting late due to their tardiness, the facilitator refused to stay a minute past 4:00 PM. She started aggressively cleaning up while people were still painting, then bolted out the door right at 4:00, leaving us to finish the cleanup and break down the boxes. I cannot recommend this vendor. We paid for a fun, stress-free afternoon and instead received a chaotic experience where we had to work as the setup and cleanup crew.

The event was held at a Breather room, which was spacious, had some couches for relaxing, and had a huge table that could accommodate the whole class. There were also some snacks & wine, which was very thoughtful. The art teacher, Liza, was clearly very knowledgeable. She took the class through a demo of how to make prints, including how to mix colors, apply textures, etc. We spent about 45 minutes making individual prints, and then got together as a group to cut them up and collage them for another 45 minutes. This was a great way to unwind after work & add some creativity into my week. Highly recommend!!

The music for the 90s party was fantastic, the lighting was lit and the decor was cute. My friends and I were literally the only ones that kind of dressed up for the theme. However, for the snacks it was literally a bag of chips. The selection of drinks was terrible, only wine and water. During the painting session, you paint in the dark and your paintings glow in the dark blue light. There is an outdoor setting which was really aesthestic, you could smoke and dance a little. For 50 plus tax bucks however, it was not worth it. The quality of paint was as cheap as Mr.Krabs and the energy levels could have been better. Too overpriced for the things you get. There is potential to improve, but still.
