Yummy drinks from a sweet family owned business. I would come here everyday if I could. Will definitely be going back often though.

It brightened our day and made the quaint environment even more wonderful. The cream pasta was so good, wish I took better pictures of the actual pasta as was the samjang lettuce wraps and ttkeogalbi open face sandwich. Every drink was delicious! We got drinks with our meal and then more after to chat over. Recommend anything with jasmine tea it is so good, it's made in house! Really really loved the kumquat jasmine tea.

Well, hate to be frank, but our Souffle Pancake was just very disappointing. While the pancake was nice and fluffy, the toppings and presentation wasn't even close to being as good as they used to be. I felt this was new management, with a whole, new style of doing desserts maybe? In any case, we did think the pancake tasted good...but it was just lacking in the creamy topping, as only the top layer had this creamy base. The lower 2 pancakes had no cream on it...and tasted quite bland. Even the strawberry sauce was minimal...so minimal, I went up to ask for more. Also, the decorative toppings, including the strawberry, were just BLAHHH. If you come here expecting the Strawberry Souffle Pancake of the past, you'll be disappointed. So nope...just not pretty enough for Instagramming. Made me wonder if the rest of the desserts have gone down as well?? For drinks, my husband had Cappuccino, and I had this Oohlong Tea. Not pictured, but the presentation was just passable...and the taste was just OK. If I recall, their drinks used to be presented beautifully as well as their desserts...but from the look of things, that may no longer be true. Guess I may give this place at least another try. Who knows? Maybe it was just an off night?? Hopefully I can upgrade the review on my next v visit...should the dessert and the drink look and taste better. Fingers crossed??

However, we found some time, and here we are. It's not my first time having to wait because a place is busy without reservations, but during the wintry times... they didn't have much of a wait. We were seated pretty quick, but in the "outdoor" area that really needed the heaters to work for it to be comfortable. They do zip up the area to keep the wind out, but the cold still seeps in. When I eventually got my food, it cooled down faster than I could eat it. Now the food was good. I have a soft spot for breakfast/brunch and would honestly eat it for dinner if they offered it, but they do not. Regardless, they did not disappoint! Everything was flavorful and filling, the tostada and market hash being the standout menu items for me. The market hash, in particular, was such an unexpectedly delicious dish because it seemed too healthy to be good, but everything worked well together to not make it so drab. There was a good mix of different vegetation too. If I lived nearby, I would most likely opt to get that more often than not. If there was anything I would change, it would be the potatoes. They are soft and seasoned well, but I would prob be more likely to eat them for dinner than brunch. Perhaps that's more of a personal preference though with how I would imagine potatoes during the day and how I like them.

TLDR: try the sandwiches and wraps if you must come here but skip the mediocre "smoked" bbq You order at the front counter and seating is first come first serve. Parking is limited so I wouldn't come during a busy time. The staff was helpful in explaining the flow and also gave us a few recs. When it came to the food it was lackluster sadly. We ordered one of the daily special (balsamic chicken wrap) and the smoked brisket meal. We both got the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes for our sides. I wanted to like the mac and cheese because even though it looked homemade, it was reheated in the microwave. Mine came room temperature with some cold pieces on the inside while my bf's Mac and cheese was hot, so it's definitely not consistent. No complaints on the mashed potatoes though, it was good. The balsamic chicken wrap was also decent, with the chicken being surprisingly tender. After being spoiled with TX's bbq for many years and have frequented a few good bbq spots in ATL, the brisket here was so disappointing, with the sauce barely saving it. It stated "smoked" on the menu but the smoked rings were non-existence and the texture wasn't right. My fault for ignoring the red flag aka the absence of smoked meat smell outside and inside the restaurant, but I really wanted to try it. It's our first time eating here and maybe we came on an off day, but we won't be craving this any time soon.

Unfortunately, my experience today was completely different. I was served scrambled eggs, and just as I was about to eat a piece, I noticed several short hairs embedded in the eggs. I was extremely disgusted and almost vomited. I immediately called my server, who went to speak with the manager. The manager came over, apologized, and told me that they would remove my meal from the bill. While I appreciate the apology and the gesture, I was much more concerned about how something like this could happen in the kitchen in the first place. I asked the manager to speak with the kitchen staff because this is a serious food-safety and hygiene issue. What made this even more disappointing is that I have trusted this restaurant for years. I used to feel comfortable bringing my family here, and there was a person who always made sure everything was served properly and that customers were taken care of. It also seems that there has been a change in management, as I no longer see the same manager I used to. After today's experience, I no longer feel comfortable eating food prepared in this kitchen. Finding multiple hairs embedded in my food is unacceptable and extremely disturbing. I don't plan to return for at least a year, and unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this restaurant to others. I sincerely hope management takes this incident seriously and addresses the hygiene and food-handling practices in the kitchen. This was a very disappointing and disgusting experience after five years of being a loyal customer.

The last time he had it was back in the summer of 2021, so during the July 4th weekend we made it a point to come back for the nostalgia. Unfortunately, this visit just didn't live up to our memories. I know inflation has affected many restaurants, but it's disappointing when menu changes take away the dishes that made people keep coming back. We started with the mimosa flight (mango, pineapple, cranberry, and orange). Sadly, they all tasted like plain champagne, and we couldn't really tell the flavors apart. Our son ordered the chicken tenders and waffles. There wasn't anything particularly memorable about it, but he enjoyed his meal, and that's what mattered most. He left happy. I ordered the Hangover Hash--moon-dusted potatoes topped with homemade queso, chicken chorizo, crispy chicken, two cage-free over-medium eggs, and served with a Flying Biscuit and cranberry apple butter. It was just okay. The online photo looked much more appealing. Mine didn't include the black beans, onions, or cilantro, and the potatoes had changed from what I remembered. Instead of seasoned breakfast potatoes with peppers and onions, they were just plain diced potatoes, which made the dish feel bland. The chicken chorizo was also much saltier than expected. The biggest disappointment was that my partner's favorite Chicken Sausage, Egg & Cheese Pasta had been discontinued. He ended up ordering scrambled eggs with salmon and dill cream cheese, served with potatoes, a Flying Biscuit with cranberry apple butter, plus a side of whole wheat French toast and grits. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. It was simply an okay breakfast that filled us up. Overall, the food wasn't terrible--it just lacked the "wow" factor that made us fall in love with this place years ago. The service was friendly, and our server was very nice, but the food no longer feels as special as it once did. If we return to the area, we'll probably try a different breakfast spot instead of coming back here. That said, if you've never been, it's still a decent place to check out. Just don't expect the same experience that longtime fans may remember.
