I opted for the option to have all my toppings come on the side and was pleasantly surprised how they each came out on a beautiful dish. The experience was wonderful and delicious! There were so many soup options but I opted for the classic crossing bridge noodle soup. I added lamb slices into mine and my friends got similar options with crab sticks and beef slices into theirs - it's super customizable. Mine comes with a giant bone in pork but they give you a pair of gloves to eat it with which helps a ton. The marrow inside is super tender too. When the bowl arrives, make sure you add in your noodles immediately and along with any of the toppings on the tray as shown as well. If you're dining in person, you get a free refill of noodles. It can def be saved for another meal and is a bang for your buck. If you're ever missing a warm, nostalgic Chinese noodle soup, this is your place! Only con is that there aren't too many seats inside so big groups might have a hard time.

The atmosphere hits you right away. Dark wood, old school charm, the kind of place that feels like it has stories in the walls. It is cozy, a little dim, and exactly what you would expect from a spot celebrating a century in business. The menu is not huge, but it does not need to be. It leans heavily into comfort food, with plenty of sandwich options, but enough variety that most people will find something they like. Prices are fair, nothing over the top. I started with the soup of the day, a sausage gumbo with rice. It was flavorful and satisfying without being overly spicy or heavy. A nice warm up, especially on a rainy day. For my main, I went with Bobby D's famous beef chili topped with cheddar cheese and green onions, served with cornbread. It came out in a cast iron skillet, which was a nice touch presentation wise. Portion was solid, not massive, but definitely filling. The chili leaned a little sweet, which I personally enjoyed, with just a mild kick of heat and a lot of flavor. The cornbread was excellent and tied everything together. This is not a fancy place, and it is not trying to be. It is a comfort food spot that knows its identity and sticks to it. Great for a casual meal, especially if you are in the mood for something warm and satisfying. I would absolutely come back again. Next time, I might even give those sandwiches a shot since that seems to be their bread and butter.

So after a night of merriment at a bar, we decided to meet at Cafe 120 for brunch. Awesome outside cafe-style seating, but with a group of 12, They offered the rear patio as we both, didn't want to take up so many tables and, one of our group had a wonderful Black Lab. Our server was outstanding and I cant believe she memorized drinks and orders for 12 people and delivered flawless service. We started the lunch with skillet fries that were superb. The drinks came afterwards with plenty of beer, Long Island Ice Teas in individual pitchers, and several cocktails. The main courses came right afterwards. Iv had the chicken tender platter. While the fries were superb, the chicken was something out of a frozen grocery box. Flat, almost molded. Otherwise it would have been a five.
