Tip: If you can schedule appointments far apart to allow time for insurance to settle, then that's a good option. However, if that's not possible, consider getting the procedure done elsewhere.
Why? While the medical care provided is satisfactory, the administrative and billing processes require significant improvement. Patients deserve transparent communication when it comes to billing, and unfortunately, I didn't experience that.
From my experience, the procedure helped alleviate sinus issues, although it was more painful than anticipated. Nonetheless, the doctor was professional and compassionate, which speaks to his expertise and popularity. I don't have any complaints about him. I am also VERY impressed with NR. I believe her name is Jacqueline, and I hope her pillow is always cold on both sides because she was excellent at explaining the procedure.
However, the billing process at this office is indeed challenging to navigate. They seem to push for as many balloon procedures as possible without mentioning the multiple times they have to bill insurance. What struck me most was the stark contrast in treatment before and after the procedure. Initially, the staff was accommodating and attentive, even fitting me in for an early appointment and discussing payment plans. The office manager assured me that only the deductible would be due, with subsequent medical expenses being more affordable. However, I was also required to put down a payment before they billed my insurance. Unfortunately, they neglected to mention the lengthy process of billing and insurance reconsideration, which could take up to a year. This oversight has left me unable to proceed with other medical procedures without paying my deductible again.
I emailed them about this after the procedure, but received no reply. I called to speak to the office manager handling my case, but after waiting one week with no answer, I was directed to the billing department. While one billing person was helpful, the other gave me wrong information, which wasted my time.
But what prompted me to write this review was the attitude of the office manager, Ellen. When I spoke to her about my concerns, instead of being understanding, she spoke to me like I was a child. She displayed a dismissive and patronizing attitude, lacking empathy for a patient's concerns. This office would be rated 5 stars otherwise read more
