I had spoken to a worker there who was very knowledgeable and great with customer service. I told him about what I needed and he told me they would try to work with my carb but if not they would order the one they use and ensure it ran right. He gave me an estimate that I felt was reasonable including the possibility of a new carb from them. Went to drop off the bike and that day a completely different service person took over the drop off which I felt was kind of weird since I had talked to the other individual and pretty much thought he would be working on it. Anyways, I had to explain the issue I had over again and instead of giving me the same price quote the individual gave before he said " what's your budget". Mind you, I just needed the bike to have the carb tuned to stay running which I couldn't achieve myself. It's not like I needed a full engine or top end rebuild I felt that question was pretty inappropriate for a tune. Additionally, he kept trying to upsell me on oil change spark plug (which I had just done myself ) and battery which was not what I was there for. The bike was there for over a month and had issues arise That wasn't an issued prior to me dropping off the bike however conveniently I had to pay for the oil change ($59 for a bike that uses less than a quart of conventional oil ) and spark plug. I agreed to pay just because I wanted to get my bike back the way I dropped it off and didn't want to risk the " we recommended this and you declined" if something happened. I got the bike back and once I was home it was missing screws on the airbox and also the airbox bracket to secure to the frame. This could have been catastrophic to my engine if it came apart and the engine sucked in dirt. I don't want to get anyone in trouble or talk bad about this business because for the most part I feel like they mean well. However, I feel like they need to work on being meticulous and returning the customers bike the way they received it

I only went in there because on a motorcycle ride, my friend needed some items there. Not much has changed in the service department. I tried to buy a couple of Genuine Harley Davidson "Made in China" acorn nuts for my mirrors. The first guy was not very interested in doing anything. Then, he had another guy look up the part. Also, I was the only person at the counter. Then the acorn nuts are not chrome and the bag says Genuine Harley Davidson "Made In China." The bolts are three times the price that the same bolt is at Home Depot. That experience reminded me why over the years I have sold Harley's to ride another brand. I hope if Harley goes under, the Chinese manufacturers will still give us parts for these motorcycles.

The last time I take it to him after work I decide to leave it with him, 8pm and I finally text him asking about my car, he went home for the day with my car still in the shop. Ok, simple mistake, he could just drive to the shop so I can get my car the next day for work at 6am... nope, Stockton is too far for him, even after I told him I have work at 6am. So he agrees to come to the shop 1 hour before opening, 8AM. That's great, instead of 4hours late to work I'd only be 3, he doesn't show up until 9:15AM. He's 15 minutes late for his own hours, I had to Uber to his shop, I got there 7:30AM. He is inconsiderate of his customers, he never came up with a solution to fix the issue he caused, he made me 4 hours late for work, I'm so done with JD tire I'm going to have to pay for someone else to fix his mistake. Do not come here. I have no idea how he has no bad reviews (except this one)

I've never been in an establishment where the customer standing at the check-in/check-out counter was put on hold simply because the service desk phone rang. The person who took the time to come into your business deserves your full attention until their transaction is complete. If the phone rings, politely place the caller on hold and finish helping the customer who is already in front of you. This isn't my first visit to HK-KTM, and my previous experiences have been much better, so I'm not going to judge the entire business based on one interaction. I'm chalking this up to a new employee who hasn't yet learned that great customer service starts with taking care of the customer who's standing right in front of you. A little coaching on customer service etiquette would go a long way. "RA" welcomes you!
