I used to go to this shop many years ago, and the parts counter was notorious for one seriously rude guy. I only went in there because on a motorcycle ride, my friend needed some items there. Not much has changed in the service department. I tried to buy a couple of Genuine Harley Davidson "Made in China" acorn nuts for my mirrors. The first guy was not very interested in doing anything. Then, he had another guy look up the part. Also, I was the only person at the counter. Then the acorn nuts are not chrome and the bag says Genuine Harley Davidson "Made In China." The bolts are three times the price that the same bolt is at Home Depot. That experience reminded me why over the years I have sold Harley's to ride another brand. I hope if Harley goes under, the Chinese manufacturers will still give us parts for these motorcycles. read more

The supervisor in the repair shop went above and beyond to find the root problem and actually give me good insight on using my clutch - he owns his work - is in touch with all of his mechanics work and really takes pride and cares about the quality of his work and the shops reputation. I've been in here a few times, front girls are nice. Parts dept is usually cool and try to be helpful. Last week i took the front wheel off my custom build to mitchells for a new tire which i provided. Its a billet aluminum wheel, polished etc, about $1,200 wheel. When i picked it up it was covered in stains and grease. I put it up on the counter and tried rubbing some of the stains with a soft towel i that i brought with me. They didnt change at all. I asked the service dept manager Sam about it. He said his chemicals dont cause stains. Lol well obviously they do i said. Also theres a big ding from a wrench near the valve stem. Both were denied. As i explained i went over the entire wheel before leaving it, they accepted no responsibilty. In fact it seemed they were enjoying my frustration. Fortunately i was able to remove the stains at home with some good polish. The ding in the wheel i suppose ill have to live with. Well it doesn't end there. When i mounted the wheel tonite, i give it a spin and its bent to hell. Billet aluminum wheel, bent from mounting a tire. I cant post video here or i wud show the bend in the wheel. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING HERE for service. They dont give a crap about ur bike. Go ANYWHERE else! These guys are a disgrace to motorcycles everywhere. Oh, btw the manager Sam started dropping F bombs on me at the counter. And this guy was dumb as a rock. He had no idea what to do or say to a customer with questions. Please!! A friend made an appt to have a tire mounted . Took off 2 hours early from work ( cuz they said the sooner he got there the faster hed be out of there ) originally quoted $150 to have the tire mounted when he gets there all the sudden the price went up saying that he needed a tube and a liner etc etc. Overall it took them literally 5 hours and the total cost was not $150 it was $260 just for a tire amount not only that they said they needed to take the bike for a test ride 7 Mile test ride just around the block the guy was gone for an hour and a half on my friend's bike talk about a kick in the teeth these guys are unprofessional straight Crooks. You want to pay top dollar and then some go there you want to get ripped off go there you want to have your time wasted go there so overall considering the wage loss it cost him about $700 to have a tire mounted thanks Mitchell's Harley. Talk about wasting the average working class man's time and money sad they should be ashamed of themselves! read more

Service Department or mechanics are not reliable. For mechanics or bike service I do not recommend Modesto Harley for mechanics. They're supposed to fix problem but bike continues to make noise and stall. They take money and say they fixed the bike but have no clue what the problem is. And bike continues to have problems after paying for repairs. Also they give you run around on timeline for service repairs and ordering parts. They tell you it will take this long to fix then once scheduling to fix bike it takes way longer to fix and they don't communicate with you. Their communication is terrible. Yes they have nice bikes with decent competitive prices if your looking to buy a new bike but I do not recommend mechanics or service department. read more

Ok, so I walked in to the dealer already approved , for a new 2025 road glide , at a dealership in San Diego, I was working in Turlock , my wife was up here with me visiting so we figured why not take a look , sat down told showed them price I can get a bike for OTD it was close to closing they would call back . Wife goes home they call me back ok we will match price of that bike ok cool , I fly my wife back up go in to sign papers , the price is different , the months are different , salesman talking to me like I can't remember what we talked about .. I say I want refund I don't need buy here , only gave my down don't sign yet .. boss comes out and I'm flustered .. no no no let's make this happen ... long story short some how it's 2k over the price we talked about .. no one emails me back or text me back ... I went the distance to buy from smaller dealer and they shrugged me off .. yes I bought a bike with parts added and etc .. but the math isn't matching.. I've giving ample time to be contacted .. Went in on 7/30/24 with my wife and best friend who also owns a harley, with the full intention of buying their last 2023 low rider s for the right price. I was met by a terrible sales rep who goes by "skully." We tried to negotiate and at the end I offered him my business card ans asked him to give me a call in case they change their mind on my offer. He then very rudely said "no, thanks were are not that desperate (my offer being 18k out the door for an almost 2 yr bike)... I then walk around with my group as he then followed us around calling out to me in the middle of the showroom saying "I want to help Juan!" As we were about to leave he then goes up to us and says in front of my wife, best friend, and the entire showroom "how about I show you something you can actually afford?" He then laughed in my face and tried to "fist bump me." I then said trying to keep my cool "why the hell he would say this to ANYONE who comes into a place of business who could potentially be their customer"? He then tried to back peddle and said he was just kidding after insulting me in front of my wife and best friend! This is btw the first time I ever met this guy... We left dealership and I decided to return yesterday after I relaxed a bit. I spoke with Mike the sales manager to tell him about my experience. He didnt seem like he cared and I don't believe he even apologized for my received treatment from his rep. After this awkward encounter I left and told him I will never come back or ever consider buying a HD from them... A little about me is that I'am a young professional who works in the area, volunteers my time to the community and served my country with the best friend that brought me there. After being away for so long (and also never owning a Harley) I was a little intimidated and worried about a bike that was 200+ pounds heavier than what I had years prior. From the moment I walked in to the time I rode off on my new Harley, I was treated with respect. Even when I was apprehensive about taking a test ride there was no pressure. Braelynn was awesome and easy to deal with. I appreciate her professionalism and no pressure attitude. After I signed the deal, she took showed me around the dealership and introduced me to various employees in parts and service departments. Subsequent visits where equally pleasant with everyone being friendly and helpful. When they say you're part of the family, they mean it. I've had a few bad experiences at this dealership already. The first a year ago when they tried charging me for warranty covered parts. I took my chances and took my bike in for a front tire change, front and rear pads, brake fluid flush, and new legend front suspension. When I picked up my bike I noticed stains on my bike which seemed weird since the service rep told me that they had washed the bike. When I got home I noticed that they had spilled brake fluid on my bike and it ruined my paint on my throttle housing, inner fairing, lower fairing, and front fender. I then noticed that they also scratched up my lower fork covers. I took pictures and rode it back the next day to let them know of my findings. I spoke with the manager and he called a tech to come and look at my bike. He tried denying causing any damage at all. They offered to try and buff it out but it just masked the problem and did not fix it. I informed the service manager that I wanted the bike back to the condition it was in. He stated that it was better than when I brought it in. Direct insult to injury. They charged me $2k for servicing bike and caused almost the same in damage. Do not go to their service department. Parts guys are great when they are available. read more

So happy with Harley Davidson taking care of my Motorcycle issue I had on one of my fork seals. Michael and Sam who kept me updated provided excellent customer service and kept me well informed on how long it would take to get my bike repaired. After communicating with Michael, I went ahead and asked if they can replace my rear tire since I needed a new one and totally forgot that I had a ride out on the following weekend so I asked if it's possible to get it done before the date. Alex the service manager was really nice as well and called me back to inform me that they will be able to get it done on time. I was very pleased and happy with the customer service. The younger guy at the counter started off talking about a 2 hour diagnostic with work taking up to 4 hours when I simply asked them to take a look at the ignition switch. I cannot recommend this dealership. I've not had any problem with their service or parts departments, but I know men who have. However, the sales department has missed out on 2 opportunities to sell me a bike due to sexism, racism or both. Both times they didn't take me seriously.
