I received a quote from another licensed plumber that was about 4 times LESS than what Singletary quoted. Singletary said the work would take 2 men 2 days. The place I went with had two men do it in less than a day AND remove an old water softener, and put in a new softener and brine tank. I've worked with plumbers in a different area when I built a new house, and after they got to know me, they warned me about the firms that brag about how much they soaked people for when they see each other in supply houses. I chose not to use Singletary. I'm sure they do good work, but I suggest you get other quotes before you give them any business. read more

I have been waiting 9 days for a follow up call from the plumber who came to see me. I had a handyman who messed me up. After getting a lecture about calling a handyman, the disgruntled plumber left saying he needed to find parts. I called 3 days later to see what was going on and received a very unpleasant office girl with people talking so loud in the background I couldn't hear myself think. I asked if someone could tell me what is going on. I waited 4 more days then... Which is generous because the missing 3 stars is for failing to locate a clog in a drain that took another company 2 minutes to find. After two days and two different plumbers from singletary, they could not locate a clog that was only affecting one toilet and one tub. In one bathroom. Ended up paying $150 for the answer of all is clear. Call the builder. So I found another company nearby, I explained the situation and they ran a camera from the toilet and found the very noticeable clog instantly. Which is the builders fault. Twice after having plumbing work done at my home. the request to contact was put on the paperwork by the plumber, and once I left a phone message. NO ONE HAS EVER BOTHERED TO RESPOND. We cannot say enough good things about this company. They have been our Plumber / HVAC company for dang near 8 years and they have never let us down. The prices are very reasonable. I see some people have complained but we have nothing but praise for them. They work very hard for you and don't give you inflated prices like many other companies do. When we had our AC go out a couple years ago, they had the best price around for a brand-new everything unit including the handler in the attic, and it came with a 10-year transferable warranty. Had two separate leak issues needing repair. Found out about the first when a friend called to say we had water running into the street (we were not in town at the time). They came out, diagnosed and fixed the issues quickly and professionally. Second issue occurred when we were there - I had to leave before they could get to the house. Singletary Plumbing is an absolutely fantastic company and I highly recommend their services. My home in SCW needed two separate plumbing services twice within a one week time period. I called Singletary to come out to fix a clogged shower drain and toilet tank chain that wasn't connected or working. Joey came out right on time for the scheduled appt and quickly fixed my clogged drain. He then fixed the toilet chain and recommended a new washer that had worn out. He then checked all my toilets to make sure the washers were in good condition. He walked through everything he was doing. He even checked my kitchen sink faucet washer! He confirmed all other toilets and sinks were in very good condition. Totally giving me peace of mind that the inside of the house was all working in great condition. Joey was amazing. Then a few days later when I returned from running errands all day, I saw that my hot water heater was leaking. I called Singletary in the late afternoon and they said they would send out someone ASAP that was working at another job site in my area. Victor showed up at 3:30 and confirmed that the water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. He gave me a quote and I requested for it to be replaced that day. Victor was brilliant in that he called the offices and the offices sent another plumber to go pick up the new water heater while Victor took out my old one. He was so brilliant and showed how this water heater was between 20-25 years old. I was very lucky I was around to see the start of the leak, it could've caused damage if I wasn't home. DO NOT GET CAUGHT! My A/C system stopped working. I called Singletary. A man came out and told me it was my blower, and that my system was so old they could no longer get parts for it. He told me I would have to replace the inside unit which was the A/C blower etc. and the heating system, as well as the outside A/C unit. The quote he gave e me was for $$8,321!!! I could not afford that, and decided to get another quote. I called another A/C company and they fixed it for $430.00!! I told him about the unit being too old to get parts, and he told me that was ridiculous. He showed me 2 blowers and motors in his truck which fit my unit. The part he needed was a small electric panel. He he called a local supplier , went to pick it up and had installed within a couple of hours of my original call. One month - still working great.
