Izzy, the owner of Relax Pool and Spa is the MAN!!! My Mother-in-Law was looking for someone to…read moreclean her pool (which had gone through the winter uncovered). It looked like a swamp with coffee grounds in it, along with a hammock, dirt and weeds! We needed the pool cleaned ASAP as she was getting ready to sell her house. Although Izzy was completely booked 2 weeks out, he made time after his regular work day to come out and take care of the pool. He ended up having to drain it, power wash it and then refill it. It looks like a brand new pool and we couldn't be happier!! Izzy went over and above as other pool places we called couldn't come out for at least 2 weeks. His time, work ethic and expertise showed in the results we got in just 5 short days! He also cleaned our hot tub which had a lime/calcium build-up that was so bad, I didn't think it was salvageable. We are very, very happy with his work and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, reliable and hard working individual to clean an maintain your pool/spa!

From the owner: I have been in this industry for over 20 years. I have seen it from every angle, from services…read morecalls, even as an owner. No other industry in the world well make people as happy on a regular basis as a pool or a spa will. But it's a sad truth that there are a lot of people who are there to just get a deposit or a check. Never to be heard from again as a company owner myself this really hits me on a personal level. If something like this has ever happened to you call us and we will discount as much as we could to try to help you become a whole again. I am not physically capable of lighting. I would rather tell you the truth and have you mad, rather than tell you a lie and have you even matter when it's not generally fixed. Not that people would consider honesty a downside. But I am honest to a fault. Even if I could sell you something and make a little extra money. That's not the reason I got into the business. Hope to hear from you soon.

Aqua Solutions Pool and Spa - Seems like there is alot of room but it's actually being closed in and yes I had to work late to get the job done. Joe

Aqua Solutions has done an amazing job involving my pool maintenance. I have an inground pool and…read moreabove ground hot tub. They have a lot of experience and are very knowledgeable for all pool related questions I have. Super timely responses to my texts and calls. Along with closing and opening my pool - they replaced a faulty water pump and gave me all the information required to keep it running smoothly. No issues since. They also helped me setup an efficient schedule on the controller\app and showed me how to effectively keep my pool clean. My hot tub pump also would not pump water and they easily fixed that as well. I would highly recommend Aqua Solutions!

Joe and his team are awesome to work with. I had a unique circumstance where another pool repair…read moreprofessional sent me to Joe as the Hayward certified rep for the area. I had a wedding reception in my backyard and the pool was a key part of the plan but the pool heater wasn't working. Joe committed, with very short notice, to get the pool functional. Instead of a simple part replacement the entire heating unit needed replaced. Under most circumstances I would have been told that it was impossible to pull off this service miracle in two days. Not with Joe and his team. Joe kept his word which meant that he and his team elected to work late into the night to ensure that I had a fully functioning, heated pool for the wedding reception. It ended up being a fabulous event where the children enjoyed themselves by swimming and the parents enjoyed themselves too. What a blessing Joe and team were to my family. I highly recommend Aqua Solutions Pool and Spa for all your pool needs

Jensen MM Homes - This is one of the main supports for the rear deck and roof. Jensen failed to ensure the actual footing here got poured. Here's the result

I hired Jensen MM to install a fiberglass pool. I had contacted the manufacturer of the fiberglass…read morepool I wanted and they put me in touch with Jensen. They did a terrible job at every stage and refused to fix problems that I (who knows nothing about fiberglass pools) kept pointing out to them. For example: they placed the pool too deeply in the hole, so there was no way to build a deck that would allow runoff away from the pool. We had to pay a landscaper to dig down around it and then build a retaining wall to make it functional. This cost us an extra $10k. The didn't compact the earth under the pool, so once it started to fill with water, there were sink holes all around the floor of the pool. We pointed this out and they refused to do anything about it until I contacted the manufacturer. They then drilled holes in the bottom of my brand new pool and pumped expanding foam into the space under the pool. They refused to do that under the deep end and ignored my texts about it. The shallow end of the pool still has a very uneven floor. The edge of the pool had a 2.5 inch variance in height from the middle to the end. That is, when we filled the pool to the top, it overflowed on the ends and was still 2.5 inches below the edge in the middle. When I pointed that out I was told it was no big deal and well within the acceptable height variance. When I complained to the manufacturer, Jensen responded that they didn't believe there was a 2.5 inch variance (they never checked, to my knowledge). When they installed the pump and heater, they did every possible thing wrong. They covered the control panel of the pump with a pipe so we couldn't open the control panel. They placed the heater hard up against the wall so there was no way to connect a vent to it. We had to pay a handyman $100's to move the heater away from the wall so it could be vented. They never hooked up the heater to the electrical source, so we had to hire an electrician to come out and run the wiring. And the list goes on. This is just scratching the surface. And even assuming they had done everything correctly, they dramatically overcharged me. I was told by three different contractors that what they were charging me for the job was absurd (I had no idea how much a job like this should have cost). As one pool contractor put it, "They charged you for a Rolls Royce and gave you a Kia." I suspect more problems will manifest themselves as we use the pool moving forward.

We contracted with Jensen Homes to build a custom modern mountain home based on a friend's…read morerecommendation (they since retracted it) and based on viewing one of their first custom builds for a client in Mapleton. We encountered significant problems at pretty much every milestone including the following: Excavation: first, the sub contractor initially located hole 20' off of target and had to re-dig, resulted in higher costs to us when it came time to backfill; second, GC changed subcontractor without notifying us or providing a revised quotation, resulting in an excavation bill thousands of $$ over the initial bid. Foundation: Engineered redlines to footing plan not communicated to concrete contractor, footings missing per permit plans, footings not located correctly. Framing: Too many issues to list, however the final straw was finding out that the framing subcontractor had been given the wrong set of drawings (2 revisions older than the permit set), and as a result the wrong materials were ordered and installed (The permit set of drawings onsite were left out in the rain early in the buiild and never replaced despite assurances). Upon discovery of non-permit plans being used (by us, the client, not by the general contractor) and being confronted with this, the GC Jensen Homes refused to take any responsibility, accountability or ownership of the issue or its resolution. Added to this was the lack of foresight and planning to order long lead roofing items despite our repeated requests to do so, resulting in a home being only partially covered for 3 months of severe winter weather waiting for the requisite materials to arrive. For 2 months, this required at least weekly snow and moisture removal from inside the home (by us, the client, without any assist from the GC), as well as rigging of tarps and drilling of holes through the floor to allow standing water to drain (also by us, the client, not the GC). In general, we found Jensen Homes to be more interested in protecting and covering the interests of their select subcontractors over their client's interests. They repeatedly failed to provide subcontractor oversight and direction, did not ensure subs were onsite to do work on dates committed, did not communicate changes and problems as they arose, and did not provide competetive bids as they promised they would. They even admitted giving their favored framing contractor the quote from a competitor and awarding him the job so that his crew could get the experience on a custom build without him ever even looking at the job in detail. Having worked in the trades for years, I found this highly questionable not to mention unethical. Additionally they changed subs on excavation without telling us and never provided an updated cost estimate, which invoiced thousands of dollars over the original price estimate (that's called a bait-and-switch folks). Despite finding and bringing significant issues they had missed to their attention, we were told to "stay out of the way and just let them do their job". We would have loved nothing more if they would just do their job. Ultimately this was a very stressful and frustrating experience, and we were happy to end the contract and move to a new GC after 15 months of delays, significant cost overruns and mistakes. I have revised this review to reflect being contacted by others who read my review with nearly the exact same experience with Jensen Homes. It is clear that ours was not a one-off, and that this is precisely how their business model works. Lie to a client, convince them they can afford the home of their dreams, and when they're in too deep to pull out start sending them the actual invoices from the select, overpriced sub-contractors. These are predatory snake oil salesmen that neither perform quality work nor stand behind their product. Recommend you find a qualified and quality GC with a good resume, references and portfolio.
