This is long, but please bear with me getting this off my chest. I was a patient with her for 3.5 years and it ended last Friday unpleasantly when I just intended to end it amicably. But Dr. Singh saw to it that she had to make sure I knew who was in control. During a relapse, my physical therapy was transferring me to their rehab center not realizing it required me to ask Dr. Singh for a new referral. I was lining up a new neurologist because of Dr. Singh's peculiar behavior making demands on when I should take Solumedrol steroid. She discharged me the day I was supposed to go over my MRI's with her which I waited over one week to do. Fortunately, the radiologist had already gone over the results with me. There are honestly better neurologists in Fremont who really want to spend time helping their patients meet their medical needs. They go over MRI's, answer related questions which Dr. Singh could never provide to me. Her medical school education reflected itself minimally in our appointments. In the whole time I was with her, I was impressed with her one single time of determining where in the brain my relapse was not coming from. I never really needed her help much until this month when I had a relapse in my autoimmune condition, and I have to say I barely ever asked for anything beyond a referral. Well you don't know the strength of a tea bag until it is in hot water. This office is a weak tea bag. For the past three or so years, I would be fine waiting 2 months for a referral or authorization, but this month, I needed authorizations for Solumedrol, MRI's, and physical therapy in a timely manner. They had a hard time with this. They're all in a rush, on the fast track to no where if you ask me. They kept making mistakes on authorization requests. I'm currently repairing two authorization requests they made with Blue Shield and Hill Physician Group. They don't check their work, like don't ask the entity for which they are obtaining authorization if they have space for a new client, or don't ask where I'll be getting the physical therapy. They had to do a retroactive authorization to correct a past authorization, and the retroactive one had the wrong entity and takes 30 days for review. This place is disorganized, and if you have the time to wait two months for an authorization, they can handle that. But Dr. Singh is always on call, hardly ever there, and in my case could only see me in the afternoon when I have a baby to take care of. It was hard to get mornings, and when she insisted that I had to go on Solumedrol this one Saturday only, I decided it was time for me to go somewhere else. And my needs were too great for her office to handle, so she had me pay for the appointment where she discharged me, canceling out my pending physical therapy authorization. I requested back my $20 co pay, but she cashed the check anyway. This lady is in business to collect appointment fees by giving referrals, but hardly spends any time looking at MRI's or making any medical determinations. She also wouldn't give me the prescriptions I asked for which she told me she would do "homework on" but never did. I did the homework, found out the information, and emailed it to her, but she never read the email. She doesn't know half of what is going on in her office, and told me her assistant completed an authorization that actually got cancelled. I would rather have no medical care than deal with her, but fortunately, I found a new neurologist who spent over an hour with me in my first appointment (something Dr. Singh has never done), we spent significant time discussing my treatment options, and I feel well cared for during this relapse I'm having unlike how I felt with Dr. Singh. But she blamed me for her disorganization by saying I had her office "in an uproar over requesting authorizations" when I believe she is the one who has her office in an uproar by running around like she's an ER doctor and doing things like having them call me and tell me I had better go on Solumedrol that weekend or "there was nothing her office could do for me." After my pending physical therapy authorization was cancelled by her office by discharging me when she already knew I was in agreement that it wasn't working out there for me actually constitutes abandonment of care because I had to start a new referral with another doctor in the middle of a serious relapse. And she had the nerve to cash my copay check for doing nothing? With help like that, I don't need her help and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone who needs a doctor who actually looks at MRI's, gives full time and attention during appointments, does what she says she's going to do, and what patients need her to do without having them only go to the ER, and isn't running around like she's late for the train. I'm in better hands now. Good luck in your search for excellent medical care. Save yourself some aggravation and look for someone else. read more
