She spent a lot of time with me not only going over my MRI and health history, but also taking about my career change of becoming a physician! As an aspiring doctor, I loved that she explained the anatomy of my scan! I definitely felt that she was interested in me as a person and not just a test result or number. She's also very knowledgeable and thorough, along with having a super friendly and positive vibe. I saw her to rule out atypical migraines which most likely isn't what I have (possible but vague diagnosis), but proposed the possibility of ear fluid pushing on my vestibular nerve which is something that had not been previously suggested to me before. Though she gave me the option of taking medication to prevent migraines, I chose not to take them as I don't have a definitive diagnosis and she was supportive of my preference. I was taken back at my scheduled time and only waited about 10 minutes in the exam room. My only suggestion for improvement would be if the nurse who took my vitals introduced herself, but otherwise I had no issues. I had consistently unimpressive experiences with neurologists in DC several years ago, so I'm thrilled to have found Dr. MacCallum and look forward to following up with her in April. I most likely won't need to see her regularly (as in I don't have worsening neurological symptoms), but would not hesitate to see her if needed and recommend to anyone looking for a great neurologist.

---- A little bit of a long review, but it's worth it to read to the bottom----…read more Dr. Singh knows what she's doing. Every time I've come in- from reception to Dr Singh and out, everything is easy!! Stanford MD, works long hours AND weekends just to ensure happiness of patients, extremely professional, and one of the top neurologists in the Bay Area (she gives talks at Washington hospital). seems over qualified to me. She seems to be well versed with the latest medicines and procedures. Very accurate and a great physician, she also really takes the time to get to know you. I've noticed it with other patients too. She meets the family and has patience (a pun?) beyond belief!! Last time I was there she listened to a patient's story about their dog for 10-15 minutes! She also has a very friendly office environment. She keeps her workers happy and that ultimately shows. It seems other doctors don't necessarily put in the time into each individual patient. This is not the case with Dr Singh. She makes you feel like family and not like another case. Keep it up Dr Singh !!! ---- I will say that I just went through and read the rest of the views. Most of them are positive and accurate. One thing to keep in mind is Dr Singh runs her own practice and works in the ER to maximize the people she can help (not for moola bc let's face it- she can get that from just the practice alone). She is a doc, and a damn good one. Her admin staff is relatively new. Previous employees made managerial things and insurance payments nightmares (I know I lived through them), but if you have the courtesy and diligence of working things out with the good Dr, then everyone leaves happy. But if you end up threatening A DOCTOR like one of the reviewers did, well you get a HR headache, which is what the complainer deserved (I'm looking at you 1 star reviewer)

This is my final review of Dr Kahlon as I will be moving to Las vegas this year. My scheduled…read moreappointment was at 10:30am this morning. I learned Dr Kahlon was not in the office and held up at the hospital. I was willing to wait 30 minutes, I finally was able to see her 40 minutes later. Patients should not have to wait on their doctors whe they are on time for the scheduled appointment, I realize she may have an emergency, atleast let the patient see an assistant rather than reschedule which is what I almost did.

I wish the office would read all the negative one star reviews they have and fix all of the…read moreproblems they seem to be having for YEARS! I'm writing this review on behalf of my brother who was very upset with this office and gave me an earful of his experience. I was told my father had an appointment on 4/3/23 at 3:45pm by a nurse at another location and so I called this office the morning of to confirm that he did in fact have an appointment. I spoke with someone that morning from the office that confirmed -- I let her know that my dad has an another appointment at 4:30pm and asked if he could come earlier or needs to reschedule. She said my dad could come at 3:30pm and it should be fine. My brother takes my dad to the appointment and arrives at said time. He waits for one hour and is seen by the doctor at 4:26pm. Doctor sees my dad and say she needs some blood work results and that he didn't have to come in, needs to get the lab work and come back. I guess my brother had lost his patience by that time and was unhappy with not being told that information when he first arrived. At that point his time was wasted and he was going to miss the next appointment which was also very important. Thankfully the other doctor was able to accommodate them but the fact of the matter is this whole misunderstanding could have been prevented if someone had told me the reason for the visit and the fact he needed bloodwork to complete. Btw I never had any lab orders so the office should have confirmed that on the phone with me when I had called. There was definitely a lack of communication somewhere in the process. Time is a precious commodity. The doctors office and staff should really take that into consideration.

I can't believe Dr. Erasmus is still practicing! I was under the care of Dr. Erasmus waaaaaay back…read morein 1992, 31.50 yrs ago! I was a mere 33 yrs old then, and I was suffering from my L4-L5 lumbar bulging disc pain. I asked Dr. Erasmus about that popular disc fusion trend everyone was having, including my brother! Dr. Erasmus wouldn't even consider such an operation for me. Dr. Erasmus pointed out, that I have a large upper torso, and all that upper body weight would put too much pressure and stress on the lumbar disc above, and below the L4 / L5 disc! Well 31.50 yrs later, and 14.50 yrs of full RETIREMENT! I look back on his advice I received 31.50 yrs ago, and at the time I did not totally agree with him, Dr. Erasmus was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! I did not need that fusion, and my bulging disc subsided with medication and "TIME!" I am VERY GRATEFUL for Dr. Erasmus, he is ONE OF THE MOST HIGHLY RESPECTED NEUROSURGEON, WITH INTEGRITY IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA!! I can only wish Dr. Erasmus and Ghita, Dr. Erasmus office manager the VERY BEST LIFE CAN OFFER!!

I wish I could give Dr. E 10 stars…read more My experience with Dr. Erasmus, and his staff, is the best I've had in decades. I changed insurance companies recently, so was forced to see someone other than a Stanford doctor. As it turns out, that is great luck. Not dissing Stanford, but honestly--Dr. Erasmus (who is in-network with my new insurance company) is the best. When I went in to discuss injuries sustained during a long-ago car accident, I didn't bring info about the various orthopedic surgeries I've had since. My experience over the years has been that when a doc practices a certain specialty, they have little to no interest in services provided by practitioners of different specialties. But Dr. Erasmus wanted to know about everything I've had done. Fortunately, I brought discs with images of the MRIs, CTs, and x-rays I've had done, and he spent a long time viewing those. He has great respect for the other docs I've worked with, but explained he just wanted to see why they made the decisions they did (and the results). He also showed me tiny details that could never have been identified in a radiology report. Time seemed to make no difference to him. We had a lengthy visit, and I never felt rushed. He was respectful, friendly, and thoughtful in his responses. At the end of that first appointment with him, he recommended that I have an EMG with a fellow doc, and, if necessary, we can discuss further treatment after that. He also strongly suggested that I start having massages. My condition leaves me with a lot of joint and muscle pain and tightness. It's always seemed like it might be a good idea to try massage, but that seemed a bit self-indulgent. So to hear it from my doctor was great news. Even better, I've had two deep-tissue massages since I saw Dr. E, and the results have been excellent. In the time since, I've also had some hiccups with my insurance company. Wow, Dr. E's office staff had me covered! They (Alicia) went far above and beyond in helping me out--instead of insisting I contact my insurance company for info, she went ahead and did it for me. Then she called me back immediately, telling me the problem was now solved. Gabby helped me with issues as well, and everyone I met while I was at the office was top-notch. Last, I'm not going to lie--Dr. E is not one of those hot-shot 30-something docs. They may be smart, but they just don't have much experience yet. Dr. E has practiced for years, and as a result is working with a treasure trove of insight that can only be gleaned from years of hands-on experience.
