The mart is super tiny and compact but impressively stocked with Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, and Middle Eastern groceries (less fresh produce). Things that caught my eye was the extensive selection of Middle Eastern spices, Asian snacks and drinks, and liquor. I didn't walk down the liquor aisle so I have no idea if it was Asian liquor. Overall, a great spot to grab affordable Asian snacks and cold drinks. It's located in the heart of Davis' downtown amongst the lively hubbub.

That place was out of milk and I have never found this place to be out. Looks like they have a 'redbox' movie rental machine out front. They sell California lottery tickets inside if you want to throw a little cash down the toilet. :-) Scratchers too. No bicycle rack, as most drive here. You can lock up to the signs near the street. Stop by on 7-11 day for a Slurpee and use your phone to pay to avoid being skimmed.

The cashiers are always friendly and attentive to me. Even though it is part of a corporation, there is still the small town-feel to the store. While I don't often buy groceries at full price here, their sale prices are worth not driving across town to Walmart.

The cashier was super nice. Tried to pick out the better pieces of chicken for me since there wasn't much left. I thought about passing on the chicken since there was only a small amount of wings left, but since we stopped specifically for this, I had to try it. The chicken was good and definite crispy, but super salty. Not a reflection on this gas station stop, but just a note if you are stopping specifically for chicken. Maybe coming earlier int he day is better. As a gas station, this place is huge and feels like a truck stop. Plenty of room for big rigs and such to get gas. I imagine this type of gas station in the middle of nowhere along some kind of trucking route. The roommate is a little bit of a brand wh*re when it comes to gas, so we went across the freeway and filled up at another more commercial station. Not a bad gas station to fill up if you drive a huge truck. There's plenty of room for whatever large tractor trailer, etc, you may have.

(It really pisses me off because I literally made a complete U-turn just to support his business.)*** I walked in the store and said good morning. No beep or anything so I gently leaned in because I am only 5 feet tall it and adjust the monitor toward me so that I can make sure that I did it correctly. He screamed again YOU DONT TOUCH! With an even louder voice. I stammered, I'm sorry but I couldn't read it. He insulted me instantly and started yelling again IT NOT MY FAULT YOU CAN NO READ!! .. and I said wait a minute, I can read. The resolution is so low on your machine it makes it hardly legible and I have to be able to see the amount that I'm paying. YOU PAY AND LEAVE! I was so disheveled. I felt so attacked. His machine is old and slow so much so that he accused me of my credit card not going through and then I told him... Maybe you're the one that can't read. It says APPROVED on the screen. This is the gas station from hell.
