My husband and I live in Marblehead and wanted to try a new place - one that served food we couldn't get in Marblehead or nearby. We stumbled upon Sina's and decided to make it our 'date night.' WOW! Did we get lucky!! Located just a 20 min from Marblehead, we arrived to a quiet restaurant, where we were on the late-ish side, arriving at 7:30 and they close at 8:30pm. The owner and a colleague were waiting on everyone and the owner was cooking, too. We ordered: - Homemade falafel (incredible!) $9 - Masto-Khiar: Creamy rich yogurt blended with fresh cucumber and mint, $9 - Beef Barg: Two skewers of ground beef combined with onion, and house seasoning - served with grilled tomatoes and rice, $26 - Shirazi Salad: Fresh diced cucumber, tomato & onion in a juicy lemon-mint dressing with olive oil -- served with warm pita bread, $9 - The evening's special was lamb shank served with roasted root vegetables (a huge portion!) $35 - A traditional yogurt beverage (just to experiment - it was slightly salty and interesting) - Doogh $5 - A glass of white wine $13 - Freshly made baklava $4 (perfect as a great small dessert finale) --- Total $128.48 with tax ($117 food/bev, $11.48 tax) We were warmly attended to by the owner, 'Bejan' / 'Bijan' (?) - the 'j' is pronounced like a 'zh' - like in 'bijou.' He and his wife - and their 2 children moved to the USA many years ago to create a better life. They opened this restaurant (decorated by their daughter) in honor of their late son, Sina, who was tragically lost to random gun violence in 2017 - in Lynn MA. Their son was studying to be a pilot and was working as a pizza delivery driver when the random violence took his life. Truly heartbreaking. Sina was just 24 years old. Sina's portrait hangs above the cash register. I highly recommend this place - 5/5 in all ways. We will be back. read more

The food was excellent -- the chef makes a delicious gormeh sabzi!! And, the ambiance is so tastefully decorated. You can tell someone put a lot of love into the place. The place is overall great and had a good experience with my family of 6 with 2 babies. We ordered several different combo meals consisting of mainly Chicken koobideh/barg and beef koobideh/ barg meats. Me and family personally enjoyed the beef barg and chicken barg the most giving it 8.5/10. The chicken and beef koobideh were still amazing as well probably around 7.5/10 for me. The wings were very crispy along with the falafel as well and were freshly made. Service overall was great, had a great Iranian server who was very quick and hospitable the whole entire time. Stopped here for dinner after an online search for good nearby restaurants. Great food, kind and helpful host, calm atmosphere. We had a lovely dinner. Good eggplant app with crispy onions and toasted pita that we liked very much. Lamb shanks with vegetables were delicious. The beef kebabs with tomatoes and rice were also great. Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Very tasty falafel and kabobs. When we indicated that we were each ordering different types of kabobs so that we could split them up and each be able to try different types, he switched to serving the meal family style so that we could more effectively do that. This was our first time at Sina and we will be back! We started with the eggplant dip which was flavorful and had a good texture. For dinner we ordered 2 Beef Koobideh dinners, the Falafel plate and an additional Shiraz salad. The beef Koobideh was tender, juicy and flavorful and the rice was perfectly cooked. A shaker of sumac was on the table for adding to the Koobideh. The falafel were also flavorful and cooked perfectly, light and not dry. The accompanying sauce was enjoyed with the falafel and pita bread. Service was attentive and not intrusive. When we asked about the wines, the bottles were brought to the table. We enjoyed the white wine from Crete and the Greek red wine. The restaurant is in a small shopping plaza with tables, hightops and bar seating. There was soft background music, so we were able to have conversation. Parking available in the lot in front of the restaurant and on the street. This was an exceptional place. The food was outstanding. We stopped by last night after visiting Salem and if this was located where we lived, we would be regulars. The best Persian food I've ever had. This restaurant is in a small, strip of shops in Peabody. The outside is a bit deceptive because it's not fancy, but you open the door and walk into a nice, modern atmosphere. The falafel appetizer was delicious. We got the Barg combo and shared it. I couldn't even finish my half. The steak and chicken were cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful! The rice and grilled tomato were delicious. The decor and service were both incredible. They had the restaurant decorated for Halloween and it was really cute! I was a fan of the Yin and Yang salt and pepper shakers. I need to find a set for myself! So fun! I can't imagine anyone living in the area and not eating here all the time. The prices are a little higher but well worth it for the quality! A pleasant surprise- this is a fancy, great food restaurant. Don't come here if you're thinking about cheap kabobs in styrofoam containers. I had the soltani, which is a combination of the koobideh and barg kebabs- one tender seasoned steak, one seasoned ground beef- with rice and a charred tomato. I've had Persian food a lot in other cities- this place was very good. Don't forget to ask for some sumac (sue-mack) and use generously. Sumac is a dried fruit seasoning. It gives the rice and meat an extra flavor profile. They said they are getting their alcohol license soon which will make the bar area extra nice. I bet it will be lively. Good takeout option for healthy food. Ordered the Falafel plate, Chicken Koobideh, and Sina's wrap. My 3 year old loved the falafel and the sauce that came with it. I really want to be able to recommend Sina's Kabob House...but I cannot. For someone visiting from the DC area where we have different kabob options (Persian, Afghan, etc), Sina's just did not get it done. The meats (I got chicken and koobideh) were dry and without spice. The rice was not fluffy and flavorful. Most importantly, the pricing was wrong. What I ordered ended up costing almost $40! In DC, the fast food Persian kabob place is Moby Dick House of Kabob. This same dish (combo 2) cost $16. Even at one of the best white table cloth Persian restaurants, this entree is $16. Again, I would love to be able to recommend Sina's. The owner seems nice (very nice during my pickup). I can even excuse the higher prices. What I cannot is the lack of flavor in the food. read more

Returning from a day of touring Salem, our Persian friend was alerted to Sina's Kebobs and called. We stopped by for a marvelous dinner which included ground lamb and chicken skewers, rice and stewed tomatoes. The meat was unusually spiced and absolutely delicious. We finished the meal with aromatic tea and sweet Persian pastries. Needless to say, we left totally satisfied. Ordered takeout for the family tonight. We all got the sirloin beef kebabs so I can't comment on other dishes. I can say that the sirloin kebabs were delicious. The flavor was great, not sure what seasonings go into the marinade but the whole family enjoyed it. I would also add that the steak was tender enough to easily cut it with a fork. We will be getting food again here soon and look forward to trying some of the other dishes. Service was also very friendly. We chanced upon this place on our way to Salem for Halloween, OMG this is a great place. Owner is very humble and friendly. Food as absolutely awesome, the meat was tender and flavorful, you can tell that it was conscientiously made and painstakingly seasoned properly. He also gave us tips on how to season it table side for our liking, and even brought out some extra things for us to try. I ordered the Sina's wrap, tender beef tenderloin, veggies and rice in a soft wheat wrap. I traded half that wrap to my wife in exchange for half her falafel dinner.
