Just had my 64 Impala custom tuned today. I never knew how to tune the sniper and I'm so glad I brought it here. Before it had no power, stumbling, hesitation, and gas smell from running rich. Josh and the crew fixed all that and even my stiff gas pedal! Drives like a new car now. If you have a classic with fuel injection, do yourself a favor and have them tune it. They did almost $20,000 worth of work on my 66 Elcamino. I have found on the front control arms nuts that were not tightened down, rear arms that were installed upside down with the zerk fittings facing the frame. Gear drive for the speedometer they used the wrong housing which caused the plastic gear to break. That cost me another 70 dollars for the housing and gear. They charged me $500 to dyno tune my car and it has never run right. They are now out of business due to a roof collapse on their shop. If they were still in business I would not ever use them again. When I did call them about the problems I was told they would fix their mistakes but would charge me for the labor. read more

Let me give anyone some insight on this shop before you end up spending a nice penny here. I was sold the dream to have my 09 cts-v built by sin city performance by Doc. This guy made a deal with me to fully build my motor and get me up and running with around 6-700 whp for $10,000. After giving them cash they said they'd have the job done in 2 weeks. A month and a half later i get my car back and it's still leaking oil and running weird i open the hood to see my engine bay beyond dirty with coolant leftover residue ALL over my motor and engine bay. Not to mention my pulley tensioner snapped in half. I then explained to them why didn't they mention they broke something and why didn't they wipe up anything they told me they're not a detail shop and a broken pulley tensioner doesn't matter. I then complained and said i wanted it fixed and i would like to speak with doc. After coming back multiple times to try and speak with doc he was NEVER there. I explained again i made a deal with him and i would like to speak with him. They then told me he's not there anymore. I'm like okkkk? Why is he not here? Why can't i talk to him? They told me it's none of your f** business. After going back and forth and explaining other issues with car they smirked and laughed at me after they did a horrible job on my car. They said i was not being cooperative. And that they didn't want to do business with me. I explained i spent $10,000 on this build and that was a lot of money to be having these problems. They told me that $10,000 isn't a lot they have clients spending $50,000 and up. Anyways I tried to sort this out by taking my car to another shop and they recommended a couple fixes but ultimately said i might need a rebuild after they try and fix some things. After having some work done trying to fix leaks(spending another $5,000 elsewhere) i still haven't been able to fix the problem. I have now taken my car to the third shop to find out that my motor has bad compression in cylinders 5,6, and 8. With more than 43% blow by in one of my cylinders. On a newly built motor ‍. Another shop has quoted me $10,000 to fix all these issues after I've spent $15,000 trying to get my car fixed in the first place. BEWARE SIN CITY DOES HORRIBLE WORK. read more

My son and I LS swapped a BMW and needed an exhaust and a tune done on the LS. The exhaust was a fair job, but the tune was awful. The charged us $450 for a startup tune with the understanding that retune would be $50 dollars. We got the car started and took it to them for the exhaust and a touch up on the tune so we could finish the build. I should have known that they didn't really understand tuning when he said "typically LS will just run with the stock tune" they called and said the car was done. It surged, wouldn't idle, and died. not to mention they charged $200 more dollars, for a total of $650 for a tune that won't even run the car. They might be able to tweak a stock engine, but if you have modified the engine at all they won't be able to get correctly tune the car. read more

It was great customer service, the guy Chris up front is funny and explained everything to me quite well about what was going on with my Jeep and tried to have it done ASAP. I wish I could give these guys negative stars. If you read my previous review, you'd see how these people had ruined my sports car by incorrectly tuning it. The very next day after taking my car to them, my torque converter started making a strange grinding noise. They told me I was hearing things and that it was my exhaust just resonating.. Well, as of today guess what, my torque converter died. Ford is charging me $1,000 just to look at it, and also I need to pay to fix it. The people at sin city tuner not only destroyed my car and cost me a couple grand now to fix it else where, but also had horrible customer service laughing at me saying I was hearing things and that I didn't know what I was talking about. If the horrible service doesn't deter you away, then perhaps paying $500 to destroy your car plus a few thousand after damages will. I am torn, the guys at s.s.p. are real nice guys and did a great job on the retune of my truck. However when it came to a transmission issue not so much. I took it to them since they just did the retune. I was quoted over the phone and they said they would be done by closing. I got there just before closing and they were still working on it. It was then they told me about badly burnt oil and the repairs were probably just a band aid. By time I got home it was obvious there was still a problem. I took it to a transmission shop and they said it needed to be rebuilt. If they had told me that initially I would not have approved a $1000 band aid. Also they didn't use fender covers and left my truck dirty and scratched. Just a very disappointing experience. Which is too bad since they are good guys. read more

I recently took my modified 2006 Pontiac solstice ( LS3 Hot cam engine ) to Sin City Performance to have a starter heat shield wrap installed. (I provided the parts ) The people are very friendly and accommodating. They gave me a call to tell me that the exhaust manifold on the passenger side would have to be removed in order to remove the starter ( which I already knew ) and that it would be more than a $200. fix. I should have asked how much more it would cost. But having had a crankshaft sensor ( you have to remove the exhaust manifold and starter to replace the sensor ) and camshaft sensor replaced by CarMedic Auto Repair and Restoration in Las Vegas, who only charged me $301. for both parts and labor! I didn't think it would be much more than a hundred or so more. You can imagine how shocked I was when they called to tell me the car was ready and the bill was $780. I should have gone back to CarMedic Auto Repair and Restoration but had trouble reaching them to make an appointment. I wanted to have the heat shield installed so I could drive the car without heat soaking the starter. Lesson learned!!! Sin City Performance, you got me once but never again. Hard to believe it took 6.5 hours to do that job. I will be going back to JP at CarMedic Auto Repair and Restoration for all my future work. I will be more patient. It is a virtue and can save you money. read more

Took my Magnum in on the 26th of October for what I was told would be a 3 day cam upgrade job. We had sat down and discussed my budget and they agreed and said no problem. 12 days later I still didn't have a running vehicle. The tuner they brought in was completely unreliable and didn't seem to be able to get my vehicle to idle. On November 6th they said my Magnum was done and ready. I wasn't even able to drive it home without it stalling or going into limp mode. After trying to get them or their tuner to make things right with no help. I had no choice but to take it to another shop on November 11th. The new shop informed me the octane booster that I was told to but and put into my tank by their tuner had burnt out my plugs and the injectors were full of gunk. After a week the new shop was able to get her running and idling but had cost me another chunk of change that was caused by Sin City and their tuner. Then when I got my vehicle home and looked through the old parts I found out they didn't change or install all the parts that came with the kit they ordered and I was leaking coolant and oil, my front splitter was damaged, my underglow LEDs were broken and they parked it under a leaking car that leaked fluid on my roof and hood. Also my front cross member was bent from where a Jack was used to lift the car. read more

Shady organization took my Lexus for an alignment over here the mechanic stayed they didn't have the proper tools and sure enough they charged me anyways $120 and it's pulling to the right! I have to go to the dealership and redo waste of my time! And they won't respond to my credit card company for a refund poor customer service organization we don't recommend doing business with these organization! This place should be closed down don't even have proper tools to do a simple alignment and refused to refund or admit to fault. Bad karma comes around should've took this to the dealership in the first place they charged me less and did a wonderful job. Thanks so much for the great service and all the help!! My procharged Camaro is a monster!!! If you look back at the older reviews you will see that this shop went from great to a shit show.... But now that are back to better then great!!!! I started coming here years ago. They were the only procharger authorized installer in town at that time. I found them on the procharger web site. I wanted a procharged installed so I went to them. The old owner was sort of okay the work was sloppy and the car never ran right... Lots of problems in wiring and fuel pump issues... I went back and forth with the old owner it got so bad I started a lawsuit over it....... Then a year later I was contacted by the new owner. He did not know about the problems that myself and a few others were having with the old owner. The short version of the story is this... The old owner built some amazing procharged corvettes and cameras. He used those cars as sales tools. The cars ran great and the owners were happy. So he started to get more clients. But instead of building the motor he said he was building he used lesser parts and sort of made it kind of work.He did this to at least 4 people that I had talked too. 2 of the people had settled out of court and got some money back.... Well I wanted the full amount so my case was dragging on.... Then out of the blue I was contacted by the new owners of the shop. They had no idea about the lawsuit or the 4 or 5 botched cars. I was asked to come down and see if we could find a solution for the problems ( the new owner wanted me to remove my negative posts and stop my complaints to the BBB.) The new owner took on the project to fix all the bad wiring, replace the fuel pump and sorted the car out. I was not charged for any labour. I did need a new fuel system. The new owner got me the fuel system and installed it and tuned it for just the cost of the parts. They did a great job of getting my car to run like it is supposed to. No longer does the bad wiring drain the battery and the new fuel pump no longer sounds like an electric chain saw running under the rear seat!!!! The car finally runs and sounds great!!! Thanks to everyone there for all the hard work and help in fixing a bunch of problems that they did not cause. read more

The owner of this shop is the most knowledgeable mechanic in town. He's an old school gearhead like I was many years ago I think I first used him when I had to have my valves changed to harderned valves when they got rd of leaded gas when I had my old Galaxie 500, Ive been going to his shop since he opened like over 20 years ago. This guy has a reputation before the days of computers and yelps lol, Hes built monster trucks, race cars motorcycles and that was 20 years ago! Hes like Yoda now! he can just listen to shit and know what's happening, Thats wisdom,(mechanical ability)and many years of work. He knows his stuff. He made me a custom hoop to hold triple shocks back when I had a big 9 inch lifted chevy maybe like 15 years ago and he made me a lift kit that was superior than any of the big brands at the time. He saved me a ton of money and I had a much stronger set up. And I was proud to tell people about him. He didnt remember me from many years ago but I remembered him because his work hes a smart and honest business owner, and thats why ive never thought twice about going to him for speciality type stuff or anything. Many of the dealership mechanics dont even know how to diagnose problems properly which can be very frustrating and costly going from place to place trying to figure stuff out. If their diagnostic machine that spits the codes out dont spit a code their done they wont be able to figure anything out on their own.. They lack common sense sometimes.They always want to just switch parts and Dealerships are are way overpriced, everybody knows that. I just used him again today with an exhaust modification on my range rover hse sport with the v8. I just want a little more sound and zip. So I told him what I was thinking and he agreed that it sould be a good set up. put 2 resonators to replace the stock one and then he fabricated a stainless steel x pipe going into a magna flow muffler( once again able to make his own part right there on the spot) then he put 2 more resonators with a chrome tip. He called me back and said the first tip i picked out didn't work right so we picked out a different one ( great communication) This dude is cool, the other reviews on here just dont describe the owner and business that I just used. I am super happy with their work and my Range Rover now sounds bad ass !!all deep and throaty when you slam on the gas but nice and quiet when your at an idle. Plus I can feel the extra horsepower it has now. To top it off I felt he was (very resonable) with the pricing of the work I had done. Ive used many other places, you know those places you just stand around and wait in line forever like 4 wheel parts and then they try to rush you to make a desicion when you contemplating a 3 or 4k project and they just point at a picture and say get that one. Not Sin City he always takes the time to explain what a part or product does based on his experiences and knowledge. Regardless of the size of the job. I like that kind of personal service. That's (customer service). Thats why hes been in business for so long. So I say to my fellow yelpers dont be fooled by the dealerships free coffee and overpriced work. These guys are great. They really go out of their way to track down and take care of problems. When I blew a hose fastener for my coolant, they created a custom one the next day to fix it since the original was from a 2001 mustang and wasn't being made anymore. I had a coolant leak that they have diligently tracked down and fixed, even letting me come by every couple weeks for the last month just to make sure everything is still looking alright and that we've fixed the problem for good. They didn't have time to for me in right away and told me to come back and as soon as I came back was greeted warmly they put my truck on the lift and in 30 minutes they were done. Kept me in the loop the whole time, actually talked me out of parts I really didn't need. They treated my vehicle as if it was their own. Since then this is the only shop in town I will take my vehicles to! They're family owned and operated and just an all round awesome shop. Everyone here will treat you with respect and be upfront and honest with you. If you ever have a question about ANYTHING they will take the time to explain it to you and if need be show you what they're talking about. These guys have not only EARNED my trust and my business but they have become friends. Another thing I love about this shop is that they can do pretty much anything you want done. From oil changes in the minivan to exhaust all the way up to full on race car and hot rod builds. Basic maintenance to custom one offs. dishonest, told me going over speed bumps would knock the alignment out on my 05 Ram 1500. said alignments weren't warrantied. the alignment is so far off now, they definitely didn't tighten something up, wanted to charge me another $85 to fix there mess up. by the way I don't drive over any speed bumps the ones I go over at work are speed humps, the kind people walk on top of. read more
