Not "good for a farm market"... just flat-out amazing. The kind of pie you immediately start thinking about on the drive home. Their produce selection is equally impressive. We're talking everything from purple carrots to vegetables I didn't even know I needed in my life until I saw them. On top of that: homemade candies, jars of jam with flavor combinations I never would have imagined, and yes -- chow chow. If you've never had chow chow, do yourself a favor and try it. Game changer. But what truly makes this place special is the people. The ladies at the register were older, sweet, hilarious, and full of personality. One of them even flirted with me -- I had to tell her, "You can't handle this ride, grandma!" The entire exchange had me laughing the rest of the visit. In the back, a group of women were playing mahjong, just enjoying life, laughing, and clearly at home in the space. That energy carried throughout the whole market. It's the kind of place that feels lived in, loved, and genuinely warm. Even the guy outside in the parking lot collecting carts, casually smoking a cigarette, was one of the chillest people I've met. Everyone there just seemed... happy. Comfortable. Real. This place put a real smile on my face. Not because it's flashy or fancy -- but because it's authentic. Good food, good people, good energy. I already can't wait to go back. If you're in Ellijay and you don't stop here, you're doing the trip wrong.

They also gave us several suggestions for restaurants nearby and picked macleamor hotel restaurant which is part of a country club resort. No problem they told us to tell them at the gate you are just going to the restaurant for lunch. What an awesome way to spend a day and the drive up is amazing.

Rosie Mae's Alpaca Farm is a simple visit making it a quick and efficient experience getting up…read moreclose with alpacas. It's located in Wildwood, Georgia, in the northwest corner of the state, or pretty much 10 miles southwest of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Rosie Mae's is actually free to visit where you can walk the grounds saying hello to 8 alpacas...5 boys and 3 girls. Guests can hand-feed the alpacas specially formulated pellets for just $2 per brown bag. Bags can be purchased inside the front entrance, which also serves as a coffee bar and miniature boutique. At first approaching the alpacas, they were content with just grazing on the farm's grass. I was pretty much invisible to them. It was only until I walked around the back of the farm and entered inside the barn area that I received a warm greeting. And that could have been because they sensed it was going to rain, lol. Nonetheless, my alpaca wishes were granted. I finally enticed them into trying the pellets which they gently vacuumed up from the palm of my hand. Having this newfound bonding time with the alpacas made all the difference in the encounter. Now I was walking away with a couple of heartfelt memories. Overall, you don't need very long when exploring around, maybe 45 minutes or so. This is just a quiet, little roadside attraction within the greater Chattanooga Valley area. But, if you have a love for animals and want the chance to enjoy hand-feeding alpacas, then make sure to keep in mind, Rosie Mae's Alpaca Farm.

Little, did I know that I was gonna get a surprise for my birthday... a free coffee complete with the swirly straw. Never seen or even touch an alpaca. They are so soft. Loved their home-made trinkets in their general store...stop by, put a pin on the map. Im the only one from Tucson!!!!!
