Great location outside of Elijay for apples and treats. I like their dried fruit and gourd options…read moreduring the fall. Fried pies are better at the store across the road. The dough here is too heavy for me. Cider price is lower here but not very tasty.

Another absolute must-visit when you're in Ellijay…read more Let me start with the food -- because wow. By far some of the freshest and most flavorful apple pies I've ever had. Not "good for a farm market"... just flat-out amazing. The kind of pie you immediately start thinking about on the drive home. Their produce selection is equally impressive. We're talking everything from purple carrots to vegetables I didn't even know I needed in my life until I saw them. On top of that: homemade candies, jars of jam with flavor combinations I never would have imagined, and yes -- chow chow. If you've never had chow chow, do yourself a favor and try it. Game changer. But what truly makes this place special is the people. The ladies at the register were older, sweet, hilarious, and full of personality. One of them even flirted with me -- I had to tell her, "You can't handle this ride, grandma!" The entire exchange had me laughing the rest of the visit. In the back, a group of women were playing mahjong, just enjoying life, laughing, and clearly at home in the space. That energy carried throughout the whole market. It's the kind of place that feels lived in, loved, and genuinely warm. Even the guy outside in the parking lot collecting carts, casually smoking a cigarette, was one of the chillest people I've met. Everyone there just seemed... happy. Comfortable. Real. This place put a real smile on my face. Not because it's flashy or fancy -- but because it's authentic. Good food, good people, good energy. I already can't wait to go back. If you're in Ellijay and you don't stop here, you're doing the trip wrong.

The smell of strawberries will hit you as soon as you step out of your car. You will see a store front with a table of buckets out there. Grab a bucket and wait for a golf cart to bring you to the midst of the field. I check their fb page before coming out and they had "red alert" on there, which means lots of strawberries ready to be picked. And they were right!! I came mid week afternoon so it wasn't crowded. I was out there for half an hour and pick an almost full bucket and it was almost 3 lbs. Again, I took the golf cart back to the store front to pay for my freshly picked berries. They were $2.50/lb. But you can get already picked ones for $4/lb. I also got strawberry ice cream for $4. It was delicious and it's a soft serve. You can definitely taste the fresh strawberries in it. They also sell strawberry jam ($6), honey ($10) and few other things in the store. There is also some picnic tables and a sink to wash your hands or your harvest if you can't wait to enjoy them! I love my freshly picked strawberries!

I had just finished an extremely long and hot hike to Edward's Point so they were patient while I asked about everything and made a custom iced coffee and soda and purchased some other goodies from inside the shop. They assured me that, although the coffee shop closed at two, I was welcome to walk up to the barn where the alpacas were in the shade and there were more tables and I could sit and enjoy my drinks and feed them for as long as I wanted. I spoke to a friendly gentleman up there for a few minutes who was cleaning up and then sat for a half hour and enjoyed some alpaca therapy. They've very cute and friendly. Excellent little stop and my drinks and muffin were delicious. Prices were very fair.

My friends and I drove from Dallas, Georgia just to visit Rosie Mae's, and it did not disappoint. The coffee was absolutely delicious (I had the s'mores latte and it was so good), but honestly... the alpacas were the real highlight. I didn't know I needed an alpaca experience in my life until now, and wow, pure joy. Do yourself a favor and make the detour. The girl working at the coffee shop was so sweet, which just added to the whole experience. The vibe was relaxed, unique, and unforgettable. I would 100% return and I'm now low-key inspired to own my own alpaca farm one day . Truly such a special spot.
