Her prices were very reasonable, and more importantly the food was amazing, homemade, and beautiful to look at. She invited us up for a tasting which helped us plan our menu, and we even were able to rent tableware, utensils, and glass ware from her. Not only were her rental prices some of the best we found, her rentals were of stunning quality. No plastic here! She has a large collection of china plates you can choose from and even mix and match with. Plus she offers crystal glass ware, and gold and silver utensils. You can really create your own unique look. The day of our wedding Terri and her staff were wonderful, self sufficient, and did everything they said they would. The food was delicious and fresh, and my guests are still asking for the salad dressing recipe! I cannot recommend Terri and Double Portions enough.

Our wedding coordinator worked directly with Michelle to make sure that everything was spot on.

The food catered to the event was from Jinan's Kitchen, uniquely delicious homemade Iraqi food coming out of the Southside. The lighting wasn't conducive to good photos so I'll try to do the food justice through my summary of it: fluffy yummy Saj bread, flavorful creamy hummus, hearty chicken kabob, sweet baklava, and Ma'amoul, a pastry of the perfect ratio of figs, walnuts and dates. All of this new great food experience was buffet style and there was plenty for everyone in the serving trays.

If you haven't been to this venue, it's really a show stopper. An old house with so much charm, and the views are breathtaking. The patio allows you to see beautiful views of CHATTANOOGA, and then having the opportunity to take pictures at Rock City the day of the wedding, there really is just no bad place to take a picture at this venue. I honestly can't rave enough about the staff. The professionalism, sincerity, and overall patience of the staff is out of this world. If you love the outdoors/nature, this venue is your best bet. Oh and did i mention they are dog friendly! My pup Ella was there the entire day for the wedding. They truly take care of you here, and make the process so much easier in an already stressful process. Thank you so much Grandview for giving me the wedding of my dreams.

This has been the worst experience of my life! Brides stay far away from this venue! I originally…read moresigned a contract for $5,250 via esignature for the venue only on 9/9. I made an appointment on 11/11 to tour the place and go over with details with Breanna or Hannah. I drove 2 hours there, got there and they say just show yourself around because I've got to take a call. I never saw them again during the visit. we had no idea where to go, so the caterer showed us around and spoke with us about what they provided. So, I got no where with numbers. On December 1, I received an email from the manager Jonathan stating that food amounts have increased. I still haven't at this point signed any contract about food or drinks or anything besides the use of the venue. I never received an updated invoice sent to me. I logged onto my online portal in January and my bill went from $5,250 to over $12,000 with my esignature from 9/9/21 on it!!!! Not only did they increase my bill without my permission, they added my esignature without permission!! Basically, they created a contract on a bunch of what ifs for my potential wedding and then signed my esignature via 9/9 to make it look like I wanted this from the very beginning. It is very misleading! The customer service was horrible! Please all future brides keep an eye on your contract. Terrible experience!!

The Pros: The actual venue is extremely nice. Beautiful grounds--which include a pond with pier,…read moreaisle of trees, barn type facility with gorgeous bridal suite and quarters for the groom. Very clean, well organized facility. There were 4 large restrooms for guests. Lots of nice tables and chairs with linens available. The owner wasn't around much, but seemed nice and accommodating when he was. The Cons: The venue manager seemed grumpy, never smiled, and was quick to say no to every request. She just seemed unhappy to be there. When asked if the flower girl could throw bird seed, she wouldn't allow it because "the next wedding party wouldn't appreciate having bird seed on the ground for their wedding." There were flower petals on the ground from a previous event that we didn't request, but no one considered that for our wedding. She must have been required to stay there the whole time, much of which was spent on her phone. There were a couple of times we had to wait quite a while to ask her a question. Certainly we understood every request may not be able to be met, but there are ways of telling people no that don't have to be rude or unfriendly. It seemed their venue manager may need more training in how to work with people, especially people who are there to enjoy a special life event and have chosen your venue to do so. She definitely needs to learn to smile when greeting people. That would go a long way. We asked to set up two hours earlier than normal and were charged $300 for the privilege, which we paid, but thought that was a steep price. The paid bartenders refused to serve non alcoholic drinks i.e. sodas, water unless it was in a mixed drink. When it was suggested to the manager that putting a tip jar out was inappropriate because we didn't want our guest to feel the need to pay for anything and just be able to enjoy the evening, she just shrugged her shoulders. The tip jar remained. Last call for the bar was made one hour before closing when it was supposed to be 30 minutes prior. Another concern was that we were told if anyone drove and felt they needed to uber home due to overindulging in alcohol, they wouldn't be allowed to leave a car there overnight. I really raised an eyebrow to this one. Being forced to drive when you needed to call for an uber is a lawsuit waiting to happen. So to sum it up, fabulous venue, with a manager in need of some people skills.
