Morris Vineyard is one of the most beautiful properties you'll find around here. The grounds are…read moregorgeous, peaceful, and absolutely worth seeing. The woman helping us behind the counter was also a complete sweetheart and made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately... then I drank the wine. I don't know what a muscadine grape is, but I feel strongly that someone should have stopped this experiment years ago. Whoever first looked at a muscadine grape and thought, "Let's make wine out of that," owes the rest of us an apology. If you've ever wondered what it would taste like to drop a penny into a steel vat full of vinegar and then bottle the result... congratulations, you've already experienced muscadine wine. Maybe it's an acquired taste. Maybe I'm not sophisticated enough to appreciate it. Maybe Stockholm Syndrome eventually kicks in after your third glass. All I know is I've had wine in Napa, wine in Europe, wine from grocery stores, and wine poured from boxes... and I would choose every single one of them before another glass of muscadine. The property is beautiful. The people are lovely. The wine and I have irreconcilable differences.

We stopped by after a hike and it was one of the greatest experiences we have had at a winery!…read more Mrs. Caroline was running all over the place supporting the u-pick berries and the tasting room. Although she was overworked, you wouldn't know it with her smile and pleasant patience with us! The views at Morris Vineyard are amazing and the delicious wine added to the experience! A must if you are visiting the Ocoee area!

While distillery tours…read morecan now be arranged, go to their tasting room on Market Street, across from the original Choo Choo station ( I like saying Choo Choo). There's a wonderful bar and plenty of expertise to take you through a tasting process. So much fun and you learn while you're at it. Don't have time for a tasting, take a look at all the unique whiskey offerings, it is nothing short of spectacular the options that are available to you. This is an incredibly creative distillery and the staff on the scene has the talent to help you make the best selection for your palate, such wonderful service!

The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and cozy, with plenty of seating for humans to settle in and enjoy a whiskey flight. The staff immediately made me feel welcome and even brought over a water bowl without being asked. As a professional lounge dog, I appreciated the hospitality. My humans enjoyed sampling several whiskeys while I worked hard supervising the tasting process from my blanket-covered seat at the bar. The tasting room has a comfortable, laid-back feel that makes it easy to spend an hour or two escaping the weather. The unexpected highlight? The gift shop sells a plush dog toy of one of their whiskey bottles. Naturally, my humans bought one for me, and it quickly became one of my favorite toys. If you're traveling with a dog and looking for a dog-friendly indoor activity in Chattanooga, this is an easy recommendation. Dogba's verdict: Great whiskey for the humans, water service for the dogs, and a souvenir toy worthy of bringing home.
