What a great way to start a vacation!…read moreMeredith was our sommelier who was professional, polite and so knowledgeable about the wines she served! She kept us laughing with her wit! The winery was inviting and clean with so many options for gifts and treats to take home. We really enjoyed the different flavors and of course had to take some bottles to enjoy later. Highly recommend this winery! We'll stop by again to enjoy the wine!

Parking is free and plentiful. The grounds are beautiful, you can pick muscadines ($15) and they sell everything from watermelon salsa with free samples, to Cherry Cola wine (black cherries and sweet red for $18.95). I'm partial to sweet so I was in heaven! There weren't many patrons on Labor Day eve. It's a nice spot to be romantic, gather with friends or celebrate solo. They have a nice selection of Blush, White, Red, White and Fruit wines. My favorite was the Southern Sangria which features muscadines, blueberries & blackberries ($16.95). Treat yourself to Pina Colada and yummy Strawberry slushies and flights. 8 oz. is $7.95. $12.95 for 16 oz. to-go. A little pricey but delish. Sip while strolling the picturesque grounds. Or be fancy and have a glass of wine ($10). There's a wine club, specialty wines and food if you're hungry. Hummus plate $15, cheese plate $17, charcuterie $18 etc. Shoutout to Stephanie! She has good energy, takes great pics and made me feel like a VIP. I highly recommend and will return!

The woman helping us behind the counter was also a complete sweetheart and made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately... then I drank the wine. I don't know what a muscadine grape is, but I feel strongly that someone should have stopped this experiment years ago. Whoever first looked at a muscadine grape and thought, "Let's make wine out of that," owes the rest of us an apology. If you've ever wondered what it would taste like to drop a penny into a steel vat full of vinegar and then bottle the result... congratulations, you've already experienced muscadine wine. Maybe it's an acquired taste. Maybe I'm not sophisticated enough to appreciate it. Maybe Stockholm Syndrome eventually kicks in after your third glass. All I know is I've had wine in Napa, wine in Europe, wine from grocery stores, and wine poured from boxes... and I would choose every single one of them before another glass of muscadine. The property is beautiful. The people are lovely. The wine and I have irreconcilable differences.

The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and cozy, with plenty of seating for humans to settle in and enjoy a whiskey flight. The staff immediately made me feel welcome and even brought over a water bowl without being asked. As a professional lounge dog, I appreciated the hospitality. My humans enjoyed sampling several whiskeys while I worked hard supervising the tasting process from my blanket-covered seat at the bar. The tasting room has a comfortable, laid-back feel that makes it easy to spend an hour or two escaping the weather. The unexpected highlight? The gift shop sells a plush dog toy of one of their whiskey bottles. Naturally, my humans bought one for me, and it quickly became one of my favorite toys. If you're traveling with a dog and looking for a dog-friendly indoor activity in Chattanooga, this is an easy recommendation. Dogba's verdict: Great whiskey for the humans, water service for the dogs, and a souvenir toy worthy of bringing home.

Our company, of about 10 of us, did the tour and tasting and our tour guide Jake was fantastic. We enjoyed learning about the history of the company and his humor throughout the tour. Also, he answered any curveball questions we threw at him. The staff at the bar walked us through the flight and were able to educate us on all of their products. We will definitely be back and booking more tours in the future for our company.

There are kids books near the fireplace as well, in the indoor seating area, full of windows and ample seating overlooking the gorgeous views. We sat on the elevated screened porch (which has a beautiful view of the vineyards) with a few wine flights and our pup. We played Uno with our kids for a bit and then they tossed a baseball down in the grass below. It was a relaxing, tech free day with no complaints for anyone. Loved it. It is clearly a go-to spot for locals, as there were many people conducting remote work from the space as well. I think it's telling that people feel "at home" here. Regarding the wine, we had great recommendations from the owner and liked all that we sampled. My husband's favorite was the Chardonnay and mine the house Riesling, which we purchased a bottle of to bring home.
