I wouldn't really call this a "market". I was hoping for vintage antiques etc but instead it's a bunch of independent vendors with stuff made in china or food. It's very busy and loud but if you're looking for meat, spices, etc then go here.. at least the parking is refunded. read more

The Chattanooga Market is a great place to meet vendors from the area and sample their foods. The vendors were more diverse this time compared to other times I've been there in the past. So it was a good look. Also there were more offerings from different vendors, rather than the same thing over and over. read more

Came at around 2pm. We weren't impressed. The food was extremely overpriced. The vendors seem friendly. The ambience was nothing special although there was a section that had live music things were not very lively. The only stall we really like was the goat milk soap stand. read more

For starters this is NOT located at 1829 Carter St like it says on here. We first went here and it was an abandoned building with the road blocked off. So I looked it up on Waze and tried updating the address on here. The real address is 1 Broad Street. It is literally right in front of the Aquarium. They share the same area. There was maybe 30 booths; a bunch of knickknacks, jewelry and random local things and businesses for you to check out. We aren't local so we have no need to talk to businesses like dental etc. If you are just randomly browsing you can easily go through in 10 minutes But you have to pay for parking everywhere. In the closest parking lot is $3 for up to 1 hour. read more

My friend and I recently visited Chattanooga. Between Yelp and a friend, we decided to visit the Chattanooga Market before heading out of town on Sunday. I am really glad we did. I honestly wasn't sure how good it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised! There are foods, produce, gifts, novelties, and much more! I bought an awesome pair of earrings and a bubble tea, but I could have bought so much more. There is a pay parking lot nearby, and it's not to costly (I think $1 per hour?). The vendors are all different, and it is worth walking through all of them. Side note: Naked River is right beside this, if you want to stop by for a beer after (or get a four pack to go to go, as I did). If you're visiting and looking for a souvenir, this is a great place to do that. read more

Everything from farm greasy produce and meats to handmade goods and artisanal items. This trip we made sure to grab tomatoes before they sold out! They go quick so it is always good to get there a bit early for your favorites. We also picked up some wonderful Myer's Farm Beef--tri-tip & fillet-- and some delicious sausages from Real Cajun Market. You can also find Cove Creek Farm's booth as well for a nice assortment of pork, chicken, beef, and even duck. Don't forget to swing by Chei Man Tea too! I absolutely loved it. Even though it was a million degrees on a summer day. It's both indoor in a Pavillion and outdoor. Theylocal and regional farms from surrounding states and towns. Local business selling all kinds of goodies from doggie treats, art, clothing, baked goods, hypoallergenic products etc. I enjoyed the food trucks bc I wanted to get some local cuisine and the large glass of frozen lemonade. Going to the Chattanooga Market is probably my favorite thing to do in the summer time. There are so many vendors selling so many different items that it makes my inner shopaholic go nuts! Haha! The vendors consist of local businesses and farmers who are super friendly. The Chattanooga Market is a great family environment, or a fun place to explore with friends! I absolutely loved the Chattanooga market. I went on Sunday and was thoroughly impressed. There were a variety of vendors from fresh food (produce, baked goods, vegan nut cheeses, etc) speciality items (soap, clothing, wooden and metal decor pieces) and much more. There's also a variety of food trucks and drinks if you're hungry or if you want to cool off with some frozen lemonade. My personal favorites were the tamales (they had tons of vegetarian options), and the fresh bread from the bluff view bakery. The produce looked good. Some were a great price and some were a little too expensive for my taste. Overall, 100% would recommend. Tips: 1. Pay for parking with the Park Mobile app to save time waiting in line at the parking kiosk. 2. Scout out everything first, there are several vendors that have similar products. 3. First time visiting Chattanooga and how lucky was I to be able to attend the Chattanooga Market. I was so excited I felt like a little girl inside a toy store, such a great place to visit. Candles, woodwork, pens, soaps, photography, you name it you can probably find it here. A LARGE selection of food trucks, and a variety of beer and other adult beverages. Face painting for the kids, live music later in the day, great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday. They always have a theme Todays theme was Apple. So they had apple cake, apple cider, apple popcorn apple everything. Parking is $1 per hour and there's no admission cost. I was really excited to hear about the Chattanooga Market and was very eager to go. I was not disappointed. It was very cool, with all the vendors setting up and displaying all the fine products they had. I was just shocked at how artistic and creative the different vendors were. Cheerful and smiling. I have to say I really liked the way the marketing was going, very impressive. Live music, ice cream social, balloon animals, forged knives, homemade bread, jewelry, soaps, candles, hand lotions, paintings, cut and potted plants for the inside and outside, lemonades, beer, and even mixed drinks. The security was present, which made things seem safe, with no worries. People all around were having a great time and smiling. It was a great experience. Will definitely do it again. read more

What can I say about the Farmer's Market? I go there every Sunday that I can get away. It is a great meeting place and is open I think 11 until 4. They have plenty of off street parking and the walk to the pavilion is not far. They have a great selection of fruits, vegetables, as well as pastry and candies. All made locally. There are vendors outside as you enter the pavilion but the majority are under the covered open area. I must say, even though they have huge "Big Ass Fans" (real name) in the overhead, it is still very warm when there is no breeze. As you walk into the covered pavilion the front part has a huge selection of fruits, vegtables as well as homemade cakes and breads. You find numerous vendors selling everything from T-shirts and candles to hand made clothes and paintings. Many are focused on Chattanooga theme. They have draught beer at a couple of locations and numerous food vendors such as Lupi's. At the far end of the pavilion they will normally have an entertainer (musician) playing music and there are quite a few tables and chairs near the stage. It is a great place to take the family and enjoy Chattanooga on a Sunday afternoon... this gets a 5!! read more

While I expected more produce offerings, the visit was not bad. There were 2 vendors with veggies and it was mostly root vegs! There was a butcher, and then the rest are more clothing/crafts/snacks/cheeses and candles. I bought goat cheese and tried the Cashew cheese, which I also purchased! There were food trucks but I had already eaten brunch at the amazing Bitter Alibi so I was done with that! Parking is a Parkmobile pay lot even on Sunday you must pay. My Parkmobile app (I use it in GA) did not find the zone, not sure what the deal was, but allot 1.5 hours if you are planning a quick stop, and just splurge for 2 hours so you don't get a ticket read more

This is a pretty neat place that opens up @ 11 AM on Sundays. There were the typical vendors (both food and misc items) outside in the heat. The main part was the indoor area selling arts, crafty items, and fresh produce and homemade goods. There was a local cable company there handing out reusable bags so the market can get busy. Cash is the way to go, but some vendors took cards. Parking was a pain, but the bf and I eventually found a parking spot. read more

If you are in Chattanooga on a Sunday morning, this is where you go. The open air market is located inside the First Tennessee Pavilion, and old warehouse converted into a very nice market space. You'll find vendors outside in tents, dozens of vendors inside, and a massive congregation of food trucks at the back. The back of the market is littered with tables for people to enjoy the food truck servings, often with a theme of the week to entice you to visit over and over again. I may have tried some of the food from three vendors in one day. It may have been amazing. I may do it again. Inside the market you'll find just about everything you could want. Fresh produce. Baked and canned goods. Fresh flowers. Woodworking. Metalworks. Photography. Paintings. Unique gift ideas. I may have bought six Christmas gifts here...in July. I may do it again. This was one of the best farmers' markets I've come across yet. The vendors are friendly, you'll find lots of just about anything, and it was comfortable getting around. I love this market! I hit it often and enjoy sampling, shopping and visiting with all the local vendors. There are a few things that could change that would make it ideal, but nothing that would keep me from going as often as possible! Every Sunday has something special happening so check their website! Most Sundays you will find a wide variety of vendors in and outside of the pavilion selling just about everything. There are boutique type booths selling locally designed jewelry and clothing and dish towels and such. You will find hand-crafted wood everything! Guitars, walking sticks, cutting boards, bowls, knives, toys and much more. Artists who sell pictures and paintings and ironwork (fire pits!) and sculptures. Beauty & health vendors who are quite often also farming much of the ingredients in the products they make. Speaking of farmers... want locally grown fruits and veggies? Well that's easy, how about beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers? (Jaw dropping!) Don't want to spend money on something that dies? How about purchasing things that grow instead? There are locally grown bushes and trees and flowers for sale so you know they can handle our climate! Now lets get to what really brings me back again and again..... FOOD! you can hop from vendor to vendor and grab beef jerkey, BBQ sauce, tapenades, goat cheeses (while you gaze upon pictures of the goats who contributed to that weeks batches!) coffee, nut cheese (yes, I had no idea how good nut cheese could be... usually I'm like all about the cheese but then I see nut cheese and part of me is like... don't go liberalizing my cheese people, cheese is not a toy! But it was AMAZING! So carry on my vegan friends, your cheese is divine!) Before I move onto the food truck section I must mention the kettle corn because my son twisst my arm to get it each time and I pretend he owes me big time to get the treat, but really I'm just coping with sharing it! haha! Around back and sometimes right up front there is always a decent variety of food trucks offering pizza, chicken, burritos, greek food, unique grilled cheeses and much more! There are beer vendors and even a cocktail bar! Last but not least... LIVE MUSIC!!!!! The Market is a total package! Go early for the best selection, and bring a shopping tote! My only complaint is summer is so humid and hot. While they have these huge fans going, the indoor seating is very limited so often you have to go find a spot outside to eat. This is one of the best recurring events in Chattanooga. My wife and I have standing plans to come here nearly every Sunday. A HUGE selection of vendors with an even wider selection of products from soaps and woodworking to foods and plants! Absolutely love seeing the wide variety of local products and all of the people are wonderful. The special events are great too, from Ocktoberfest to to BBQ and Wing festivals. When I crave tomatoes I come here, they have some of the best (in season of course). Also if you like looking at crafts and various other things, come here. On the really popular Sundays they have quite a few food trucks. There is always something to see and do, though I am not a real crowd lover so I try to get here early and leave quickly. Otherwise I think every place should have a market that showcases the best of what that place has to offer and I think this one does a good job. Great way to spend Sunday - different variety of items ranging from produce, international food samples, ice cream, community outreach opportunities. Bought some corns on the cob, monkey donuts, kettle corn, and more. Ample parking, great outdoor covered area at the 1st Tennessee Pavilion. Had kettle corn which was a little burnt. Ginger's cake stand had some of the largest slices of cakes I have ever seen. Definitely worth the $4. 1 downfall: performances are on the ground level which makes it difficult to see when the crowds come around. read more

Yeah I know it isn't the Marin county market but it is the best market I have been too in the South East. When I wake up in the morning on Sunday's in spring through the fall I know that I always have something to do. What to like about it? Well it is good to have the variety of produce throughout the year and it nice to see how the different items come in as different fruits and vegetables reach harvest. They have local meat and eggs as well. There is also a good selection of baked goods and other prepared food you can take home. There are tons of crafters and artists and it is always interesting to see what is offered. I have bought paintings and some really great glass at the market. But, my favorite is being able to spend a lazy afternoon at the Market and enjoy a good beer and food while I people watch. Kudos to the food vendors: Lupis Pizza... the market special is the bomb with roasted garlic peppers and Italian sausage; Lockharts BBQ, The taco stand with just awesome made on the spot tamales; and Good Dog where the awesome made fresh daily onion sauce!
