Euclid Creek Reservation is one of the smaller parks in the Metroparks system; it is a long…read morerelatively narrow park that mainly follows Euclid Creek between Green Road and Highland Road. The park manages to pack quite a bit into its smaller profile. For those trying to get out and get a hike there are 4 designated trails and a couple more that are not on the map but can still be fun. The longest trail is the Multipurpose trail, paved it winds its way down the park with great views of the creek and the surrounding walls of gorge it has carved. On the West Side of the park the Glenridge and Squirrel Run Trails let you hike up and down the gorge wall and you can use them to form a loop trail; a good way to get some decent vertical and a nice workout. On the East Side there is the newly built Eastern Ledge Trail which uses a recently built bridge to cross the creek and then a steep hill up to the cliff top which presents one of the best views in the Cleveland area. The trail then continues through the woods to the nearby neighborhood. There is an couple of other trails on the East Side of the creek, one that runs from the Rear Quarry picnic area to hook up with the Eastern Ledge Trail; the other unmarked trail starts at the Highland Picnic area and follows the creek until it gets to the cliff face. There are a number of very nice picnic areas along the park with plenty of space to relax, eat and play. There are also a number of other facilities. Near the Kelley picnic area there is a sledding hill for winter fun. Most of the picnic areas have a playground with the biggest one is located in the Highland Picnic Area and there is also outdoor workout stations and a couple of basketball courts which always seem to have some fairly serious games when the weather is good. Although they are physically separated from the main part of the park Metroparks have added the beaches and marina located where Euclid Creek meets Lake Erie into the Euclid Creek Reservation. I have not visited these areas in quite a while, but they do provide public access to Lake Erie for swimming, boating and beach fun. Euclid Creek Reservation is a great way for those located on the East Side to get out and enjoy themselves. The Metroparks keep working to improve the parks and there is plenty of fun to be had; choose an activity or two and get outside.

The "Euclid Creek Reservation" (Euclid Beach) is no exception. The park is expansive, beautifully manicured, clean and offers a multitude of ecosystems to explore. The beaches are wonderful and include matting to accommodate wheelchair access. There are two peers for sitting and enjoying the lake view or casting in a line and going fishing. There are picnic areas with grills and a pavilion as well as public restrooms. There is a bridge connecting it to Neff road boat launch as well as Wildwood Park. There really is something for everyone. The best thing is it is open to ALL the public and totally FREE! So go, take the family and spend the day. You'll love it.

My friends and I enjoy coming here in nice weather during the warmer months to have little picnic dinners and to catch up. The grounds are well cared for, and when you're done, you can walk over towards the lake to watch the sunset. It's usually on the quieter side, which makes it even better! We've seen a number of native birds and have enjoyed some birdwatching while we catch up over our dinners.

There is a main trail that loops around and borders the lake. Most of the rim there is foliage blocking the view but there are a few open spots and the overlook spot if you want a view of the lake. I would recommend verring onto the Northern Harrier Trail which was our favorite. Felt very whimsical with all of the wildflowers and deer. This is an excellent spot for birding. Saw a few groups with binoculars. I broke our my bird call app and had dozens of birds identified that we then tried to find. Very fun! The trail itself is pretty short but it's worth doing a few laps if you've got the time. Or taking it really slow to soak it up. There is large parking lot available. Google maps takes you right to it.

It's super easy to get to, with good parking and signage. I was surprised that there was no paved trail/path. There is a bird watching path and another running trail and they all connect, but nothing is paved. Be sure to bring your bug spray and there were warning signs that there are ticks. There's a great lookout spot with a few benches less than a mile into the trail. Excellent views.

A cool memory of the course are the wooden steps leading up to the former first tee. Signs show the distances of the many paths. There is shade, but bring a water bottle. A few benches are along the way. Call to get a tour with a naturalist using golf cars! Along our walk we saw a baby mole scurrying along the grass. A Monarch caterpillar was on a milkweed plant, and the milkweeds are everywhere. Love trees? Lots of oak trees and others line the paths. Redwing blackbirds were chirping. In the mornings and evenings I've was told you can see a lot of deer. A shelter is available for group events. There are a few picnic tables under the trees. More tables are needed. Large parking area. Handicapped accessible.

Lots of pluses. First, there's a spacious parking lot which has direct footbridge access to the Villa Angela Beach (which has the Cleveland sign). Second, if you enjoy fishing, Wildwood Park has a couple of locations off the piers which are amenable to early morning or late afternoon fishing from the land. Third, it's not as crowded as other beaches in the metro area. One downside, however, is the limited areas where swimming is permitted. This is probably for safety reasons (to help the lifeguards). If you have younger children, however, this beach is a nice option. Overall, I would probably not go out of my way to visit this beach. But if you're staying on the northeast side of Cleveland, it's worth a stop.

George V. Voinovich Bicentennial Park…read more This park is an absolute gem in Cleveland--peaceful, beautiful, and full of character. Voinovich Bicentennial Park sits right along Lake Erie, offering stunning panoramic views of the water. On a clear day, you're actually facing Canada, which lies just across the lake--how cool is that? Out in the water, there's a long rock barrier (part of the harbor breakwall system) that adds a coastal, serene feel to the entire landscape. When I visited, there was a live opera performance happening right in the park, which made the experience feel even more special. You can sit on the grass or along the cement steps, which makes it a great spot for a picnic, sunset-watching, or just relaxing near the water. There are often events held here, so it's worth checking the schedule if you're visiting--though honestly, just showing up might surprise you with something fun. The atmosphere is open and vibrant, but still calm and clean. You'll also find: * Boat rentals nearby if you want to get on the water * Restaurants right along the shore * Hotels with waterfront views, all within walking distance The park itself is well-maintained, clean, and has lots of visual interest, including ships docked nearby and big open views of the lake and sky. I visited in the evening, and the sunset over the water was absolutely breathtaking--a perfect end to the day. I can't wait to come back and spend more time here. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this is one of those spots that makes you stop, take a deep breath, and just enjoy where you are.

It's a large rectangle with (mostly) symmetrically pathways diagonal and across, but not through. It's all grass, and there are dozens of trees (and hundreds of squirrels), but aside from the children's playground in the southeast quadrant and the gazebo in the very center, there's not much variation. You can probably play a game of soccer/football/ultimate/kill the carrier in the northern part, where the trees are sparsest, but it isn't really a playing-sports park. No, Lincoln Park is more of a let's-visit-the-park kind of park. Maybe a poet's park? It's somewhere to walk and contemplate. I've done hours and hours of walking here, often in the snow, although I wish those hours had added up to at least days, if not weeks. One of my only regrets (of things under my control) from my year of living in Cleveland is that I didn't spend as much time in Tremont as I wanted to. The park really is lovely. It was way underutilized back then, but even though it was often nearly or totally empty, it didn't feel unloved. It's a proud old park in a proud old neighborhood of a proud old city. Whenever you're ready to enjoy it, it will be waiting silently for you. I really love it.

It is a very nice and well kept park in terms of cleanliness, but I will say the only reason why this review isn't 5 stars is because the homeless population is a bit overwhelming at times. I have physically seen people talking to themselves or digging through the trashcan at this park. I really wish there was some way the park or the police perhaps could assist these people who regularly attend the park. Other than those factors, it is very nice! I also enjoy the Farmer's Market on Tuesdays during the summer!
