    Heron on rocks

I was a 1/2 hour south in Ohio, looking for a beach to sit on while killing some time before leaving back to PA. I found Euclid Beach via Yelp & I was not disappointed. I arrived around noon on a Friday & the beach had been swept & well groomed & it was basically empty. Only a couple other people far to my left & right and they all left within a 1/2 hour. There were boatloads of seagulls. But curiously they have a goose chasing dog (official job!) that an employee walks up & down the beach to keep geese & goose poop presumably off the beach. I would've loved to have spent more time walking the beach to check it out. I came down steps to the sand, as the hill path from the top was steep. There is a pier too. And a little park above with restrooms, picnic areas, grills, playgrounds etc. There is a large parking lot. The beach is free & public. I'd definitely stop here if I were in the area again. I even saw a bald eagle fly over!

27 April 2020 - A Cleveland script sign at Euclid Beach Park.

PHOTOS attached below. I thought I wrote this review a long time ago but I guess not. As the saying goes, "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" so a Yelp review a day keeps Agnes at bay? LOL, I am trying to rhyme here so work with me, but okay, on to this review. I visited in April 2020 just when COVID-19 had started to spread and everyone was staying indoors. I came here randomly one evening after work because I wanted to walk around and I was tired of being inside all the time. I actually wish I could come here more often but I live on the west side of Cleveland. THE MAIN IDEA -- What else can I write that hasn't already been written? I bet if I wrote this review in french that I would really catch your attention. Haha, but in all seriousness, I'm not fluent in french YET but I am well versed in Cleveland parks. The Euclid Creek Reservation is managed by Cleveland Metroparks and it is very well maintained. As I walked around and enjoyed the fresh air, I noticed how clean the park was. I hardly saw any rubbish (trash) on the ground. The little bridge walkway is cute and reminds me of somewhere in Europe; although, I have yet to travel to Europe...haha. CLEVELAND SCRIPT SIGN -- Many tourists love taking pictures at the many script signs placed across the city. This one is fairly new and has a nice background of the lake. LAKE ERIE -- This reservation sits on wonderful Lake Erie, the 4 largest of the 5 Great Lakes and the 11th or 14th largest lake in the world. If you are looking for a park and you live on the east side of Cleveland then I recommend Euclid Creek. I haven't been here enough to give this 5 starts but I loved what I experienced when I visited. I will surely be back. CON - I didn't see many benches around to sit on but most people come here to walk or jog so I suppose sitting isn't a deal breaker. **** - 17/150 total reviews in 2022 - 495 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 9 March 2022

Beaches aren't usually that good on Lake Erie. Euclid Beach Park is typical of one. It seems to be clean though. Clean bathrooms that don't smell too bad. The grounds are clean as well. Euclid Beach has a pier that gives you a good view of the lake. It typically gets crowded with fishers because that's probably the most popular thing to do at this park. They don't allow any swimming. It's basically for safety reasons. There's also several picnic tables. It has a nice walkway along the lake. It goes into an apartment complex next to the park. This is popular with dog walkers.

Nice pier to enjoy a stroll on

Great little spot to take a stroll. Pier was fun to walk out on and fun Cleveland sign to get pics in front of. Enjoyed our time there.

Plenty of parking and seating. Area near water is much colder than around parking lot so dress accordingly. Great views especially on the pier at sunset.

The emerald necklace of the Cleveland Metroparks is one of the things that make Cleveland such a good place to live and work (if I didn't work so much, perhaps I would get out and experience more of them). My assistant and I decided to grab a couple of hours this beautiful afternoon (especially when the weather forecast shows much lower temps in the next couple of days - it is December, after all) and hunt for beach glass. We were at the park within minutes, taking Waldo dog along (pets are fine here, as long as they are leashed), and walking along the deserted beach. Warmer weather likely brings a good number of people, and there are places to cook and eat, as well as wide sidewalks for walking off that food afterward. A good break from our Monday mania, walking along this peaceful little piece of Lake Erie beach, and taking home a few treasures. Next time, I will bring along a bag and collect some of the trash that mars this otherwise lovely area.

Hadn't been here in a while. The metro parks has done such a great job with the place. Very beautiful and relaxing park.

park has a nice protected (from waves by breakers) sandy beach, abundant area for barbeques and picnics on the bluff overlooking the lake, full service restrooms, lots of benches and trees. a fishing pier to walk out on and a boat launch ramp (at Villa Angela in eastern side of the park).. a pleasant place with a very nice lake view. Swimming is prohibited, supposedly due to underwater hazards, but very shallow wading is OK.

Beautiful view of the lake but the beach area had a lot of rocks and water didn't look too clean. The park looked nice and clean.

It's a large rectangle with (mostly) symmetrically pathways diagonal and across, but not through. It's all grass, and there are dozens of trees (and hundreds of squirrels), but aside from the children's playground in the southeast quadrant and the gazebo in the very center, there's not much variation. You can probably play a game of soccer/football/ultimate/kill the carrier in the northern part, where the trees are sparsest, but it isn't really a playing-sports park. No, Lincoln Park is more of a let's-visit-the-park kind of park. Maybe a poet's park? It's somewhere to walk and contemplate. I've done hours and hours of walking here, often in the snow, although I wish those hours had added up to at least days, if not weeks. One of my only regrets (of things under my control) from my year of living in Cleveland is that I didn't spend as much time in Tremont as I wanted to. The park really is lovely. It was way underutilized back then, but even though it was often nearly or totally empty, it didn't feel unloved. It's a proud old park in a proud old neighborhood of a proud old city. Whenever you're ready to enjoy it, it will be waiting silently for you. I really love it.

It is a very nice and well kept park in terms of cleanliness, but I will say the only reason why this review isn't 5 stars is because the homeless population is a bit overwhelming at times. I have physically seen people talking to themselves or digging through the trashcan at this park. I really wish there was some way the park or the police perhaps could assist these people who regularly attend the park. Other than those factors, it is very nice! I also enjoy the Farmer's Market on Tuesdays during the summer!

Voinovich Bicentennial Park sits right along Lake Erie, offering stunning panoramic views of the water. On a clear day, you're actually facing Canada, which lies just across the lake--how cool is that? Out in the water, there's a long rock barrier (part of the harbor breakwall system) that adds a coastal, serene feel to the entire landscape. When I visited, there was a live opera performance happening right in the park, which made the experience feel even more special. You can sit on the grass or along the cement steps, which makes it a great spot for a picnic, sunset-watching, or just relaxing near the water. There are often events held here, so it's worth checking the schedule if you're visiting--though honestly, just showing up might surprise you with something fun. The atmosphere is open and vibrant, but still calm and clean. You'll also find: * Boat rentals nearby if you want to get on the water * Restaurants right along the shore * Hotels with waterfront views, all within walking distance The park itself is well-maintained, clean, and has lots of visual interest, including ships docked nearby and big open views of the lake and sky. I visited in the evening, and the sunset over the water was absolutely breathtaking--a perfect end to the day. I can't wait to come back and spend more time here. However, I have also had several opportunities to visit this city over these last thirty years and I have seen great improvements since that time. One of the small efforts to beautify this city came with the decision to add several "Cleveland" script signs at various locations around the city, like here in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland. I have visited a few of the Cleveland script signs, and this one here in Tremont is my favorite so far. It is located in a beautiful little neighborhood, within an area that almost feels like a small park. Even though it's in a beautiful little neighborhood, it is close enough to the heart of the city to provide visitors with a breathtaking view of the Cleveland skyline, along with several beautifully constructed historic bridges within view. To add to how pleasant this location is, there are also railroad tracks nearby, where one can occasionally see a powerful train pass by. Still further, there is also a nicely constructed walkway through this area where folks can take a nice stroll while enjoying the view. The Cleveland script sign here in Tremont is easy to get to, located just south of the Cuyahoga River, with nearby exits from both directions of the Interstate 90 freeway. There is also a nice, clean and safe place to park within walking distance that is open daily, from 6am until 11pm. This parking area has several parking spots, most of which are under the I-90 overpass, and parking is free. If you happen to be visiting the Cleveland area, I would highly recommend that you stop by this location for a quick visit. It's a great place to take in a breathtaking view of this beautiful city, and of course, to snap that selfie of your visit to Cleveland.

The garden is surrounded by trees, a tall iron gate at both entrances, a very small waterfall, benches, and movable chairs with a tables placed all around the garden. When you step into the garden, you instantly feel a sense of happiness, serenity, and peace as you hear birds chirping and breath in fresh air.
