Well, isn't this just straight out of a Christmas Hallmark movie. I had the pleasure of visiting Cleveland in December and just so happened to be staying at Hotel Cleveland, just steps away from the Public Square. With it being the holidays, it's completely decked out in Christmas lights with things like snowflakes projected on the giant buildings that surround it. Music was playing through the speakers and there was also a small ice skating rink. I was seriously in awe at how magical it was. Mind you... it was about 10pm on a Thursday and from what I've gathered without all the holiday spirit you might want to avoid strolling around these parts that late on an ordinary night. Outside of all that, there is a lot to discover in this area. There's some good restaurants, coffee shops, theatres, and obviously more hotels. Heck, you could even walk to Progressive Field (Guardians/baseball), Huntington Bank Field (Browns/football) or even where the Cavs play (Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse) if the weather wasn't too frigid. I'm also a big walker so take that as you will. Overall, it's really cool to see the city put that much work in a public space. Happy holidays, friends!

More active and more fun in summer, but it is also nice to walk through any time of year. You can see (my favorite) the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, as well as, the Moses Cleveland statue, and Mayor Tom L. Johnson statue. There are food trucks, gardens, miscellaneous vendors, and offer summer festivals and Ice Skating in winter. Public square is surrounds by some of Cleveland's favorite business and buildings including, Tower City Center, Jack's Casino, and the Old Stone Church. You can learn more and see the calendar of events at www.clevelandpublicsquare.com

Public Square is an amazing place to visit. It's in the center of Cleveland with a lot of deep history and nostalgic roots. The Square itself boasts a war memorial, bronze statues, a small park, fountain and has many major buildings around it including a church, hotel, casino and Key Bank Headquarters among other notables.

A nice walk through the park to see the great architecture & statues throughout the area. Very clean and not busy. Perfect for a picnic or a stroll through the area.

Basically the center of Cleveland. It has a great location in the middle of downtown close to lots of stuff. Public Square is pretty large and there's lots to do inside this. A large statue is in the middle. There's also a restaurant and an ice rink in winter. A few years ago there was a renovation which made this much better. It seems a lot cleaner. There's also more green space. Most famous about this place is the centerpiece. Soldiers Monument is a large statue. Around it there have been many improvement. Rebol is a restaurant that serves cafe style food and has a patio. It remains a popular place to catch busses. It also is in front of Terminal Tower where you can get a train to and from the suburbs. The city did a good job making this clean and safer.

Pretty park with lots open of space and some of the best views of Lake Erie and Downtown. On a nice day you will see it bustling with activity and is so centrally located that it takes up a couple of blocks to cram in all the statues that are in the park. It is also real close to the Rock Hall and Key Tower providing great views of each.

Great public space that is surprisingly easy to access either by car or on foot. We visited for the city's annual Winterfest celebration, a first for us, and were pleased with how convenient it was to public areas where we could warm up when we had a little too much of winter! Surrounded by beautiful old buildings and architecture, the square is rich in history but the center of lots of modern day fun activities and good food. We met some interesting characters at the Winterfest event and were treated to s'mores at the fire pits and hot chocolate while we watched skaters at the ice rink. Great use of a public space for locals and visitors alike!

Public square in the winter hits different. Crisp air, big buildings, and LIGHTS. If you are in the area please go take a half hour to bundle up and walk around to see the Holiday decorations downtown. They are beautiful. The casino has window displays that bring in the holiday spirit as well! I would park on a side street and walk to the square so you can easily get out of traffic.

Central Point of Cleveland downtown with Some green space and events happening all year round. Soldiers Monument is part of the square and this spot is decorated with lights all over during Christmas which makes it even more vibrant. Skating rinks are formed during winters. Good Close view of all the big buildings in downtown. Pros: ------ 5 min walk to fountain of eternal life 8 min walk to Willard park( World largest Rubber stamp) 15 min walk to Rock Of Hall Of Fame. 5 min walk to tower center 10 min to West side market by bus.

    It's hip to be public.

Much better and more family friendly and less gross than nearby Pubic Square. One of the most stunning spots in Cleveland, with the towering old building (Tower City) over one side of the square, and the tallest building in the area, shiny and brand new, on the other side. It's a central point, a meeting point. There are always taxis here, always cops here, and always panhandlers and vagrants here. I suppose that is the reality of the United States, even in a bitterly cold lakeside city such as Cleveland. It's one of my fave cities in the country, and this is a great place to start exploring it. It's spectacular here. Especially at night.

They paid around 50 million dollars for the new square. It is nice. I will never forget one of my first winter's as a child in Public Square during the Christmas holiday time. We just moved here from New Jersey. My father, mother, brother and I walked out of Tower City onto the sidewalk. A crazed man yelled "I don't care if I land my ass in jail!" My dad called him Stickman since he was wielding a big stick from a tree. My dad would quote Stickman throughout his life. As a 34 year old man I can finally say that I don't care if I land my ass in jail either. I have been through enough in life where it does not scare me. I miss the times in Public Square when it was more like American Gladiators gauntlet and to make it out from one side to the other, you needed to be asked for change from an army of bums. That is the Cleveland that I love.

This is a wonderful central location in front of the Casino and Tower City. It was a nice place to take a break from both and grab a chai at Rebol. It's also great for people watching!

It's a large rectangle with (mostly) symmetrically pathways diagonal and across, but not through. It's all grass, and there are dozens of trees (and hundreds of squirrels), but aside from the children's playground in the southeast quadrant and the gazebo in the very center, there's not much variation. You can probably play a game of soccer/football/ultimate/kill the carrier in the northern part, where the trees are sparsest, but it isn't really a playing-sports park. No, Lincoln Park is more of a let's-visit-the-park kind of park. Maybe a poet's park? It's somewhere to walk and contemplate. I've done hours and hours of walking here, often in the snow, although I wish those hours had added up to at least days, if not weeks. One of my only regrets (of things under my control) from my year of living in Cleveland is that I didn't spend as much time in Tremont as I wanted to. The park really is lovely. It was way underutilized back then, but even though it was often nearly or totally empty, it didn't feel unloved. It's a proud old park in a proud old neighborhood of a proud old city. Whenever you're ready to enjoy it, it will be waiting silently for you. I really love it.

It is a very nice and well kept park in terms of cleanliness, but I will say the only reason why this review isn't 5 stars is because the homeless population is a bit overwhelming at times. I have physically seen people talking to themselves or digging through the trashcan at this park. I really wish there was some way the park or the police perhaps could assist these people who regularly attend the park. Other than those factors, it is very nice! I also enjoy the Farmer's Market on Tuesdays during the summer!

Voinovich Bicentennial Park sits right along Lake Erie, offering stunning panoramic views of the water. On a clear day, you're actually facing Canada, which lies just across the lake--how cool is that? Out in the water, there's a long rock barrier (part of the harbor breakwall system) that adds a coastal, serene feel to the entire landscape. When I visited, there was a live opera performance happening right in the park, which made the experience feel even more special. You can sit on the grass or along the cement steps, which makes it a great spot for a picnic, sunset-watching, or just relaxing near the water. There are often events held here, so it's worth checking the schedule if you're visiting--though honestly, just showing up might surprise you with something fun. The atmosphere is open and vibrant, but still calm and clean. You'll also find: * Boat rentals nearby if you want to get on the water * Restaurants right along the shore * Hotels with waterfront views, all within walking distance The park itself is well-maintained, clean, and has lots of visual interest, including ships docked nearby and big open views of the lake and sky. I visited in the evening, and the sunset over the water was absolutely breathtaking--a perfect end to the day. I can't wait to come back and spend more time here. However, I have also had several opportunities to visit this city over these last thirty years and I have seen great improvements since that time. One of the small efforts to beautify this city came with the decision to add several "Cleveland" script signs at various locations around the city, like here in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland. I have visited a few of the Cleveland script signs, and this one here in Tremont is my favorite so far. It is located in a beautiful little neighborhood, within an area that almost feels like a small park. Even though it's in a beautiful little neighborhood, it is close enough to the heart of the city to provide visitors with a breathtaking view of the Cleveland skyline, along with several beautifully constructed historic bridges within view. To add to how pleasant this location is, there are also railroad tracks nearby, where one can occasionally see a powerful train pass by. Still further, there is also a nicely constructed walkway through this area where folks can take a nice stroll while enjoying the view. The Cleveland script sign here in Tremont is easy to get to, located just south of the Cuyahoga River, with nearby exits from both directions of the Interstate 90 freeway. There is also a nice, clean and safe place to park within walking distance that is open daily, from 6am until 11pm. This parking area has several parking spots, most of which are under the I-90 overpass, and parking is free. If you happen to be visiting the Cleveland area, I would highly recommend that you stop by this location for a quick visit.
