My wife, two teenage sons, and I visited Wildwood Park in July 2023. This is a clean park maintained by MetroParks and is separate from Euclid Beach which is nearby along the lake. Lots of pluses. First, there's a spacious parking lot which has direct footbridge access to the Villa Angela Beach (which has the Cleveland sign).
Second, if you enjoy fishing, Wildwood Park has a couple of locations off the piers which are amenable to early morning or late afternoon fishing from the land. Third, it's not as crowded as other beaches in the metro area. One downside, however, is the limited areas where swimming is permitted. This is probably for safety reasons (to help the lifeguards). If you have younger children, however, this beach is a nice option.
Overall, I would probably not go out of my way to visit this beach. But if you're staying on the northeast side of Cleveland, it's worth a stop. read more
