When I asked to speak with a manager, I was connected to Jennifer, who finalized my order--but in hindsight, that should have been my first warning sign. I had multiple locations that require dumpster services, but I refuse to give business to a company that treats its customers so poorly. I was not informed of a key policy upfront, yet when I called for pickup, I was told I had been--which was simply not true. Gina later called to confirm they would pick up the dumpster the same day, which I appreciated. However, during that call, she asked me to take down my review because it was making the company "look bad." She also insisted that no one had been rude to me because she had listened to the calls. When I expressed that this was a dismissive response, she replied, "Well, there's no pleasing you." This showed a complete lack of accountability and professionalism. Fortunately, I did not overfill the dumpster, but I do think they need to revise their guidelines on how much a 10-yard dumpster can realistically hold--it's very misleading. The one bright spot was Vito, who handled both the delivery and pickup. He was polite, answered all of my questions, and even apologized for the poor communication from the office staff. While I won't be using this company again, I sincerely hope they reconsider their approach to customer service. In today's world, a little kindness and respect go a long way--you never know what someone might be going through. To whom it may concern,…read more The residents around the address of 1740 84th St., Brooklyn, NY 11214, are constantly being awoken in the hours between 2AM to 7AM by trucks servicing the Bensonhurst Center, which appear to involve dumpsters and slamming dumpster lids. Being awoken to this kind of sound: https://youtu.be/2X4FY4zv_7I as you can hear, it's a rather horrifying way to have one's sleep distributed, particularly for young professionals in intellectually demanding work. I imagine the contribution to the young children and elderly dependent on their sleep cannot be positive. As the relevant NYC branch is investigating the area for private carting outside the hours permitted by nose ordinances, please be mindful of the law and do not operate during illegal hours. In addition to any findings and action undertaken by the department, there may be a class action lawsuit involved in order to curb the incessant noise bringing down the health and quality of life of the neighborhood.
