According to Nationwide insurance (their carrier), he does not have proper coverage for this line of work: exclusions for environmental issues like off-gassing or chemicals, and no coverage for improper work or installation. I have text message documentation, emails, and all phone calls recorded (except rare in-person conversations). Tennessee Valley Spray Foam LLC sprayed my bus conversion on December 17, 2025. After installation, there was strong chemical off-gassing that hospitalized me. They sprayed summertime foam in 30° winter weather--should never be applied under 50°. Ryan stated it would be fine as long as the bus temperature reached 70-80° (which we heated to). He didn't mention--and seems unaware--that it must stay at that temperature for 24 hours after spraying to fully cure. He told me to open the door and let the fumes air out. This dropped the temperature immediately to the outside 30° temperature, and it dropped into the teens that night. The foam separated off the back of the bus. Spraying with drums outside in 30° weather caused a viscosity issue, making the spray foam mix improperly. This caused off-gassing of isocyanates. He also had his off-ratio protection switch turned off (I have pictures of that). He claims they weren't spraying at the time--the machine was only on--and that he turned it on later. They had to return a second day because coverage thickness was inconsistent and less than half the contracted amount, with 2 inches of variance when he guaranteed a half-inch total variance. Nothing about this job was done right. Ryan (the owner) has done nothing but make excuses and lie about the process. I contacted the manufacturer and trainers for installers of this product; based on my photos, videos, and temperature report evidence, they confirmed the job was done incorrectly. Everyone in the industry concurs it was improper and should never have been attempted this way--including the company bidding to reinstall once removed. It's going to cost me $7,700 for dry ice blasting to remove the residual. No other company will apply spray foam or offer a guarantee/warranty with his residual still there. The leftover residual is still off-gassing, causing a health hazard. Ryan said he would remove as much as possible but leave the wheel wells to avoid damaging the coating. I told him to get as much out as he could. They removed everything physically reachable, but it's still off-gassing and the rest must come out. I requested his insurance info in case issues persisted; he sent it. I filed a claim--Nationwide confirmed no coverage for improper installation, chemicals, off-gassing, or environmental issues. So he's not covered for the type of business he's conducting. I contacted the City of Huntsville (where he's operating and working); they stated his license is expired and he's not licensed. They require insurance he wouldn't meet if licensed. I told him he lacked proper insurance coverage. He claimed this job cost him $10,000 (impossible--the job was only $3,200; if he paid guys to install for that and profited, removal by his team over 3 days couldn't cost much more). He's always said from the beginning he'd make things 100% correct if wrong--but failed despite his inadequate attempt. He argued with the manufacturer spec sheet on proper installation (tack time 5-7 seconds after application; he said much longer). The foam was sticky for days with extremely strong chemical smell; the smell persists months later with residual foam. It is absolutely incorrect, yet he argues against manufacturer specs. This is 100% his fault and was completely avoidable according to industry professionals. He also should have corrected the problem 100%. Now he's told me to contact an attorney if I want--he's not going to do anything. I will be taking him to court.

Great service. Very friendly and professional installer. I would highly recommend this company.read more
