I pointed out an area that I wanted it installed with the understanding they would adjust as needed once they could lay it out in the attic. On the first day I noticed a wire running across the opening for the lift which would prevent using the lift. They were able to correct that but then mounted the hardware incorrectly which prevented the lift from retracting into the opening. They blamed the motors but there was no problem with them at all. I had to remove and reinstall the mounting hardware in order to allow the lift to go all the way into the attic. I asked for some of the $3500 I paid back but was told no. I will not use their services again.

After temporary piping repairs and we ran fans for a week with extra heat going before the ceiling downstairs finally dried. We've had insurance claims before but mostly exterior and roofing. That usually involves 1 or 2 skill trades handled by your roofer. This was very different. We knew repairs would involve flooring, cabinetry, sheetrock, additional plumbing, ceiling resurfacing along with painting. I was a bit overwhelmed. After expressing concerns with my Travelers Insurance adjuster he recommended a complete restoration service through Westhill Global. That led us to a local company, GWC Restoration. Absolutely horrible job. I paid 10k to get an ~200 sqft room studded and sheetrocked. They ran…read moreelectrical wiring and NAILED the wire BETWEEN the sheetrock and the studs (twice!) bulging out the sheetrock and causing electrical fire danger. I had to unscrew the sheetrock and get the wire out. They put sheetrock directly over an electrical outlet with no hole in the sheetrock, causing me to spent hours redoing their work! They nailed THROUGH an electrical outlet box to install it. So I have 2 nails with bare metal exposed inside an electrical box where an outlet is supposed to go-that's a major fire hazard! They spent 2 weeks doing a ~1 week job. They used an electrical sander for mudding with no sheets and spread sheetrock dust all over the basement. 2 months later, still digging out from their mess. Absolutely horrible; overcharged, underperformed, multiple instances of fire SAFETY hazard issues, egotistical jerks. Brian is a real piece of work, horrible individual to work with. Threatened to put a lien on the house b/c they didn't want to clean up dust mess they spread all over the basement (over computers, chairs, couches, etc.) and I wouldn't pay them until they did. If I could give a negative review I would.
