I've had seafood boils on the beach at Cape Cod, Hyman's Seafood in Charleston, and Willie's Boil House in the French Quarter, among others. And I was blown away by none. In a discussion with a friend, he disagreed with my position and suggested I give some local spots a try, and be very generous with all types of accompanying sauces, especially spicy ones, and don't skip the butter! So I am planning to try a few spots heading into the new year, starting with this spot. I ordered the weekend special, shrimp, lobster tail, and small crab cluster. This comes with potatoes and corn. This was not at all a bad meal, the shrimp were very tasty. The lobster tail was a bit chewy though the flavor was nice. The crab cluster produced some nice bits of meat, but this was a very small cluster. The veggies were just ok, on the dull side. While not all bad, this was very expensive and I would not come close to ordering this again - in fact I don't see a return visit, period!
