Bartender had an attitude ‍ we got a lot of food to go. The food was regular bar food. The chicken burger was so dry. The wings were too salty. The catfish bites was so bland and more lettuce then anything. The place was dope the had a live band. It was a vibe.

My wife and I visited Earl's for the first time. We were seated immediately, which is pretty nice for a Friday night. I ordered the Country Fried Steak dinner, and it was huge. I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere.

Convenient cool place near the Ramcat. We dropped him before the show to grab a bite. There was no massive crowds and we got seated right away. The restaurant's very pleasant and cozy with brick walls, huge bar, string lights everywhere, very nice. Beer was nice and cold, and my tater tots that came with my burger were great. My complaint was the hamburger patty in my burger. Very salty ! And tasted off, I couldn't even finished it. I'll probably come back and just order something else and try it.

Great music! Great staff! Great drinks! Great food! Free parking! Love Earl's!

My daughter and I were in the mood for some live music! When that happens, we typically head downtown to Earl's! As always, the music was glorious! They had a great country band playing! We sat at the bar and drank Corona and sang along! The people that work at Earl's are always really attentive and fun! The vibe is always laid back! The drinks are cold and the food is hot!! Plus, the parking is still FREE! Looking forward to our night itch for some live music already! See you soon! Most Sincerely!

I'm happy to see Earl's going strong. Several years have passed since my last visit. However, a few new things have popped up like a lot of TV real estate. This is certainly a spot to catch some sporting events. The place is nicely dressed up with plenty of memorabilia and photos. There is also plenty of central seating inside, and a pool table! Their service is solid, and they'll even make a mocktail if requested. They certainly did not hesitate to make a great NA mojito. I'll be sure to return to try more of their menu and expand on their offerings.

First time coming to this place and I would come back. We got the chicken waffle sandwich with tator tots, fries, onion rings, and a cocktail. I don't care for spicy foods but this chicken and waffle sandwich was so good that I could get past the spiciness and crave another bite. The sides were good and they were not skimpy on the alcohol in the cocktail. It was a beautiful place with a large bar and have no complaints about the service.

Onion rings - breading isn't that good and was overcooked 1/5 Honey Sriracha tenders - honestly the main reason we come here 4.5/5

Sunday fun day included a mimosa pitcher which was pretty good! One of the bartender was nice and customized a piña colada for me which was great

I usually enjoy this place. Tonight they weren't too busy when we arrived. Took 1 hour to get our food. Appetizers never came! Can beer is hot and they don't have iced mugs. Big daddy burger did not come with jalapeño as noted. Asked for some and they brought a small bowl with 6 whole jalapeños which were cold. Our entire group had COLD meals. The food is actually very good but the service was not! It's expensive to eat cold food! We were able to speak with the manager. She handled everything and made it right. This is why we will come back. Great leadership on her part. This place is still our favorite place in Winston.

We were looking for a quick bite before heading to see a play. Earl's was busy, but it's a spacious place so they were able to seat us right away. We opted for apps only to save on time, and did it ever. The deviled eggs came out first and were very enjoyable. Then we got the fried pickles and the fried catfish bites. Both were piping hot and delicious. The catfish came with a chili honey, but I preferred the remoulade style sauce that came with the pickles. The staff was pleasant, and they got us in and out so we wouldn't be late for the play. Good spot and I would definitely go back.

Another great experience at Earl's! Stopped by for dinner before heading to see some live music. This time I had the catfish bites and the shrimp and grits. Both choices were great, flavorful and perfectly cooked! The service was fast and friendly for a busy Friday night and such an open and lively atmosphere. Almost feels like an old speakeasy but work big open windows. Will be back!

Earl's has become one of our favorites in downtown Winston-Salem reataurants. Taco Tuesday at Earl's is a special, reasonably priced treat. Three soft tacos- mix and match fish, shrimp, beef, chicken, or pulled pork - $8! Lettuce, tomato, cilantro, cheese, and a sauce with a little kick. You can order the way you like them even with sauce on the side. Served with sour cream on the side. Warning: tacos can be a bit unwieldy. As my dad used to say: "don't change your grip." Or you can get a quesadilla for $12. Regular menu also available. Drink special is lime or strawberry Margarita on the rocks for $5. I had a Wild Turkey Old Fashioned ($13). Earl's is located on historic Industry Hill, across the street from Wise Man Brewery and a block from Fiddlin' Fish and Radar breweries. Atmosphere is very nice. Quiet enough for conversation at your table early in the evening. Can get crowded later. Full bar with draft and bottled craft beer, craft cocktails, and wine. Entertainment some nights - including some good local artists for Open Mic night on Mondays. They have a burger and a beer special on Mondays. Lots of TVs to watch your favorite team's game. Service is quick and attentive without being overbearing. Finally, they charge a 4% "operations fee" for credit cards. All in all, we like this place and recommend it to you for casual dining.

Unfortunately, everything that vegetarians and vegans could eat here, the items I reviewed, are no longer available. Two dining customers will no longer be patrons of Earl's.

Never had an issue at Earls. Country food along with a whiskey bar. Live music on select nights. Good food all the time.

The dip is always so delicious - it's one of my favorite appetizers ever. The pita is really good too. I think they recently started adding cheese to it too which is good but not really necessary in my opinion. At first, they brought us pita that was really burnt but our waiter told us she requested a fresh batch without us even saying anything which I think is great service. I also tried their garlic parm boneless wings & they were so good. I loved how seasoned & salty they were, although they might be too salty for some people. I really loved it though! Their cocktail menu is also really interesting & creative. It's mostly whiskey of course but they do have other spirits. I tried the peanut butter & jelly Old fashioned and it was surprisingly delicious. It really did taste like a PB&J so I highly recommend. The inside is small but there's a nice outdoor seating area too. This really is one of my favorite places to get food in the area BUT the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because anytime I've been there remotely close to closing, they definitely let you know & make you feel rushed. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. Arrived 30+ minutes after opening and was told the French toast sticks were "still in the oven." Ordered shrimp and grits. The peppers and onions weren't charred--they were burnt. The grits texture was off, sausage was chopped into unrecognizable bits, and one shrimp wasn't cleaned properly (which was enough to end the party for me). The sauce had good flavor, but it couldn't save the dish. Mentioned it to our server--got an "oh, okay" and a walk-off. No follow-up, no fix. Tried to order the French toast sticks for dessert...still "in the oven." At that point, I had to laugh and ask is the oven on? The cook then offered to make an individual serving just for us. What??? To be fair, my significant other enjoyed his meal. But it just wasn't worth the drive from Winston-Salem. Really wanted to love it. Maybe I will try dinner. Cause this wasn't it.

Between the rave reviews and the beautifully designed space, I knew this would be our stop. The first thing I noticed when we arrived was that the parking lot was on the smaller side, but any concern disappeared the moment we checked in. The hostess greeted us warmly, asked for my license plate so she could validate our parking, and had us seated almost immediately. It was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the experience. On the way to our table, I couldn't help but notice the inviting patio, perfect for lingering over lunch on a beautiful day. That said, I had reserved an indoor table, and I'm glad I did. The dining room is intimate, stylish, and effortlessly chic. It's the kind of restaurant that feels equally suited for a catch-up with friends as it does for a date night. The tables are close together, creating a lively atmosphere, so it's worth keeping that in mind if you prefer a little more privacy. Our server, Aundria, made an already wonderful experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and knew the menu inside and out. It was also refreshing to see the entire team working together so seamlessly, with everyone stepping in to help one another throughout the meal. I ordered the lobster roll with shoestring fries, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The lobster was fresh, buttery, and generously portioned, making it one of those dishes I'd happily order again. Before we left, I asked Aundria what she reaches for when she dines there. Without hesitation, she recommended the Korean Beef Bowl, which has already earned a spot on my list for my next visit. As if the experience couldn't have ended on a sweeter note, it started raining just as we were leaving. The hostess grabbed an umbrella and walked me to my car, a simple gesture that perfectly reflected the hospitality we experienced from start to finish. The "Korean Beef Bowl" came with about a cup of each beef, rice, cucumbers and maybe 1/4th of an avocado for $24. This looked and tasted like a $14 dollar plate at best (seriously, no kimchi even in a Korean bowl?); I left hungry. My wife got the Thai coconut curry, $30 bucks which included an $8 up charge for chicken, in which there were maybe 8 paper thin slices. The curry part was non existent both in volume and in taste. There was barely any sauce, very bland, and it essentially tasted like unseasoned noodles and vegetables. I would gladly come back for a happy hour and enjoy their other drink options and appetizers, but I just cannot justify paying the exorbitant prices for how mediocre the food ultimately was. I wish I had taken a picture of the food to add weight to the review but it was so lackluster looking that it just was not worth photographing in the moment.
