As a new Bride you want your moment to be perfect. We recently signed up with Simply Flawless through an amazing planner we met named Ilana. She was kind, very thoughtful and intentional and calmed all of our wedding jitters. Fast forward a few months and we find out she was no longer apart of the company. Without notice we are now scrambling to find a new planner and the stress is now bigger than ever. DO NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT until you know for sure who your "assigned" planner will be. After speaking with Jane and Ilana we were certain that she'd be our planner. Jane DID NOT notify us that she was no longer with them and DID NOT offer us any refund. $500 down the drain with ABSOLUTELY NO SERVICES PROVIDED. What a way to start our what was supposed to be "perfect" journey of wedding planning. We are devastated and $500 out. read more

My wedding was Simply Flawless, I only hired them for my day of wedding coordinator. I suggest hiring them for all of your wedding planning, especially if you are planning from afar. Farrah was the coordinator for my day of wedding, she was excellent, paid attention to every detail. We have an unresolved issue that I brought to Jane's attention in September. She last emailed me on 10/17/19 but I've since sent her (and her attorney) 5 emails and 1 text message directly to Jane and haven't heard back. Jane was very personalable and reassuring leading up to my wedding in August, but she did not completely fulfill our written agreement and unfortunately, I paid her in full before my event. She nicely decorated our reception area but did not adequately perform her duties as a "wedding coordinator." She should update her title to "wedding decorator" which I feel is a more accurate description. The 1 star review is due to her breach of contract and lack of communication for the past 2 months. I have proof of all this in writing and have been very patient by holding off on submitting a negative review until this issue could be resolved, but I'm out of patience. I have managed a small business for over a decade and I understand that life can get in the way. However, not responding to my very amiable update requests for 2 months is extremely unprofessional. I hired Jane and Annie to do the "Day Of" coordinating. It was such a pleasure working with Jane and Annie. Since my fiancé...now wife was coming from Japan. It was nice to meet with them and get ideas and things I may have missed since I was doing most of the planning from here in Hawaii. The day of the wedding, Jane and Annie were there and we didn't have to worry about being there for the vendors and taking care of the payments and last minute planning. This review is for the day of coordination services that were provided. My wedding was on 07.02.16 at Sunset Ranch. I had to hire her at the last minute, and she wasn't completely organized, but that's not why I gave 5 stars. I do want to say that she is very friendly, but, due to me hiring her last minute--I could have lived without her being there and just asking one of my friends to set up. However, my venue required a coordinator and my prior one was running a fraudulent business, so we split ways. You can tell she's really new. She showed up by herself and my bridesmaids and MOH had to help with setting up while I got ready. She kept saying her helper was in traffic and he showed up later with ice, after she asked my dad to go run out and get more. Another big issue is the aisle for the ceremony was set up too close together, I provided her with the supplies that I made, but how she set it up was so 2 people couldn't walk side by side, which was sad because my dad had to walk behind me a little bit. I didn't get a chance to see the aisle beforehand. At my ceremony, she told my parents that as a surprise, she had a friend take a drone video of my wedding venue. She later told me her self. I emailed her a month later. I emailed her again, now almost 4 months after my weeding and no video. I get that it was a surprise. However, I never got the video and I asked about it twice. It's kind of disappointing that I never got it, but don't promise something you can't produce. That's why it's 1 less star. The second reason why I took off a star is because one day I was on Instagram, it was a month or so after, and I came across her page. She posted pictures of my wedding. Didn't credit me or mention that it was the Bride's DIY. She didn't come out and say it, but it was implied that she is the one that did the work. Big no no. I do think that if you hire her more than a few days before your wedding and she knows more of the details, she would be fantastic. She's gorgeous, carries her self very well, and is professional. read more

This is just my observation with Simply Flawless. My best friend got married a few days ago, and the wedding planner was absolutely clueless. She had an attitude since she got there, and she also had no idea what was going on. She was just very nonchalant.. the wedding planner is suppose to make it easier for the bride. However, the bride and the bridesmaid was doing everything. We set up the entire lay out, cleaned the entire venue, and basically did their job. Even during the rehearsal, the bridesmaids and the groomsmen had to figure out when to walk. It was just bad, and honestly a waste of money. read more

This review is specifically for Jane's day of wedding coordination services. What a god send Jane was for our wedding! Her coordination services might not be a fit for everyone, but they were for me. I have an events background, am very type A and knew I would have no problem planning our wedding without a professional coordinator, but could no way run everything that day and walk down the aisle at the same time. I wanted my friends and family to also be able to enjoy themselves, and didn't want to outsource day of jobs to them. I cringed at every high priced 'day of coordination' quote I got, all of which included month of services without negotiation - something I did not want or need. And then I found Jane - day of (only) services at an affordable rate, along with touching base with your vendors the day prior and a few extra perks. I met with her in person to be sure this wasn't too good to be true, and that my type A self could trust her with the most important event we would ever host. I knew instantly she would have everything under control, and she did. On top of everything else, she brought along two additional coordinators that day. The day prior when we did our walk through, I was so tired of making decisions (brides you will be able to relate) and she stepped in with input that I so valued and appreciated. She was always very quick to respond to emails, something that is also very important to me to know I can trust the person I am hiring. It is a difficult task for a coordinator to step in day of to put everything together that has been worked on by someone else for the last year or so. In this scenario, I highly recommend printing off important email confirmations from your vendors and venue - even if they seem reliable (there was an issue at our ceremony venue with the transportation schedule and the other coordinator present was at a loss due to not having this email confirmation available) / schedules / photos if you have specific preferences on your setup etc. She had a detailed day of schedule from me (including every event, vendor arrival times, pick up times, details on set up, everything taking place throughout the day), a contact list of all vendors involved, photos and directions for how things should be set up, ceremony lineup and details (we did a non-traditional ceremony). While hiring just a day of coordinator will save you money, it is really only suggested for overly organized and DIY brides! All in all, I did a lot of day of coordinator shopping and Jane was by far the best combined value and experience I found on Oahu for someone looking just for a day of coordinator!
