I'm glad I found Vicky on Yelp. She's responsive over the phone. I booked an appointment with her for me and my kids for our hairs and make up. I love how my make up turned out. My kids hairs is very cute too. She took her time and want to make sure you are happy with her service. She gave me a lips liner , oil blotting paper to take it with me to my photo session. So sweet of her. I would come back to her when I need this service again for sure. Thank you Vicky read more

Vicky was super accommodating, really helped out me and my friends kind of last minute. She was very responsive when messaged on Yelp and open with pricing. Made making a reservation nice and easy. Really quick and skilled work, good conversation, and great recommendations for styles. We loved our updos and we received tons of compliments! The styles lasted all day and night, through the wind at the beach wedding and all through the evening reception. We only had our hair done with her, but I'm sure her makeup skills are also on-point. Highly recommend Vicky, great service! read more

My hubby and I were eloping so I really needed a professional to help me with hair and makeup as well as getting my dress on. I found Vicky on yelp and she replied to me very quickly!! She was priced very reasonably and was more than helpful with my many questions. Vicky arrived at our hotel room earlier than expected and she was awesome!! Great sense of humour which helped calm my nerves!! She really did an excellent job of highlighting my features without making me look "over done". However when we received our wedding photos, my husband did ask "who is that and why don't you look like that more often?"!!! Believe me, if I could have brought my new beauty "partner" back to Canada with me, I'd look that fabulous EVERY day!! Vicky - I cannot thank you enough for being there for me and making our special day unforgettable!! read more

Four hours before my wedding ceremony, we got the call that our wedding venue CANCELED. But through the humidity, rain falling during the first look photos outdoors and hours of waiting around for wedding plan E to commence -- I'm happy to say that my hair and makeup survived the night! It even looked great after the dance floor was officially closed (pics to prove it!). Vicky Nguyen is very professional and friendly, making sure I was comfortable and happy with my hair and makeup during the process from booking, engagement shoots, bridal trials and on wedding day. She is also very responsive through email which was important during the wedding planning process. I can't recommend her enough! read more

All I have to say is Vicky did a wonderful job with my bridal makeup and my bridesmaids. She had everything on hand, her airbrushing technique was perfect. She even made my girls lashes look beautiful! From lots of researching, Vicky was the most affordable for a budget girl like me. If you are looking to have a different face once you're done, than I suggest you go to those places that can cake on makeup so that you look like a totally different person. What I liked about Vicky is that her style is natural. She will enhance what you already have without caking on the makeup. Her airbrushing technique allowed the foundation to go on evenly and naturally without looking like my face was just plastered with concealer and foundation. With five of us girls we were done in about 3 1/2 hours and we all looked beautiful! Thanks again Vicky!! read more

I have never had a hair stylist I trust more than I trust Vicky. She always puts the health of my hair and quality of the job before my budget. I also feel really comfortable with Vicky. She is so nice, down to earth and fun to talk story with. I enjoy talking with her more than a lot of my friends. V-Style is a 5-star gem. read more

Vicky was a star on my wedding day. She's friendly, prompt and everyone loved their hair styles (she magically did 'up-dos' on short hair, which looked awesome on the ladies). We had 10 people to 'do' and Vicky brought an assistant that was excellent (and also spoke Japanese making things easier for my Japanese in-laws). I felt beautiful with my airbrushed makeup and my hair stayed in place all day and night. Bridesmaids were about $60 a pop, moms were $50 and my hair and makeup was $120. Definitely less expensive than other quotes I got out there and she came to us which was another perk. read more

I love Vicky! She knew exactly how to make me look my best for my wedding day even though I didn't do a trial beforehand. She and her assistant Dawn made all four of my bridesmaids gorgeous as well. We were on time and her prices are very reasonable. After watching some youtube hair tutorials, I was confident that I could DIY an updo for my destination wedding. At a month out, my to do list was a mile long and practicing hair was at the bottom of it and realized that I didn't want to stress about my hair the day of. I found Vicky on Yelp and saw her great reviews and reasonable price point. When I called Vicky, she was highly responsive, answering my text message questions and returning my calls even with the 6 hour time difference. She was also very flexible as I was finalizing other girls in my bridal party who needed their hair done by her (the number kept changing as people changed their minds). I also texted her a picture of the updo I wanted in advance, which she duplicated perfectly. The day of, Vicky was really sweet and personable, making me and the rest of the bridal party feel at ease. She worked quickly and asked questions to make sure my hair turned out the way I wanted. There was a downpour during our ceremony, but even after that my hair looked great. Would definitely recommend! read more

Like everyone else has said, Vicky is awesome! I hired her for my wedding/renewal of vows. I did a trial session with her, and she did the full works. She didn't just do one side of my face or partial of my hair. I was actually able to take my prewedding pictures that evening (at the spur of the moment) and I looked flawless. She gave me suggestions and listened to what I wanted. I have acne prone skin with scarring on my cheeks, but Vicky was able to cover them up. My skin looked flawless. :) I felt the most beautiful I've probably ever felt. She also did a great job on my MOH, Mother of the bride, and Mother of the Groom. Everyone was impressed. In addition, her prices are great! I shopped around on pricing for on site wedding prep and she was one of the cheapest. Yet, her quality of work isn't cheap. I'd highly recommend her for any special occasion. read more

Vicky is amazing! I was looking around for make up and hair artists since I was from out of town and my fiance and I were coming for a friend's wedding and decided to get engagement pictures here. Well vicky came and saved the day for me because she was available and so accommodating. I'm usually worried about artists and doing makeup on Asian faces and when I asked vicky, she said she had lots of experience doing Asians. I did expect that since she's a fellow Asian herself but just needed to be sure. She's had over 20 years of experience. I came into her salon and she started on me quick. She's very fast and knows what she's doing. Just give her a picture or an idea of what you want and she can replicate it. I also showed her pics that I thought were pretty natural looking in the pictures and she said that the models had a lot of makeup on in order for it to show in the photos. I let her do her things even though I was afraid of heavy makeup or eye shadow!! She definitely knew what she was doing and talking about. She's very friendly, can hold conversations easily and is highly skilled in what she does. She did airbrush makeup on me and it looked flawless. We did have some bang trouble with my hair but she fixed it and kept reassuring me that it was going to be OK to which by the time our engagement shots came around, my bangs calmed down. I recommend vicky for your beauty and hair needs. She is so talented and such a doll! read more

Vicky was so wonderful! She responds quickly by e-mail, has very reasonable prices, does beautiful makeup, and is very friendly! I hired her for my wedding at Kualoa Ranch in December to do my hair and makeup as well as my 4 bridesmaids makeup. Her trial price is very reasonable and she worked with me to find a makeup/hair look that I loved. Even after the trial, I changed my mind about my hair and she was able to work with me on the day of the wedding. She brought another makeup artist with her and met us at Kualoa Ranch the day of the wedding, and everyone looked amazing. The makeup and hair held well all night, showed up perfectly in pictures, and didn't run even with the many happy tears that were shed that day! I'd recommend her to all my friends! read more

Vicky is genuinely sweet and considerate. My hair is wavy and frizzy and there is not much that can help it since it's mostly genetic. But Vicky gave me a wash, a deep conditioning treatment followed by a haircut and light styling. She made several good recommendations along the way and even gifted me a small bottle of CHI on my way out! P.S. She only takes clients by appointments but she is also willing to find a good time for both parties. I needed a last minute rejuvenation for my hair before a trip and She was able to fit me in after my work the very next day! read more

Vicky is fantastic! I had her do my JR and Sr prom and also my wedding! Hair and make up was perfect every time. I also go to her every 4 months to get my hair trim. She is the only one I trust to cut and color my hair. Unlike other salons where they cut your hair waaaaay shorter then you wanted. Vicky always cut my hair the right amount of length and when she hi lite my hair it always comes out the perfect color! She is super nice and she care for her clients, she takes her time with you and follow your every needs. I don't like to be the only one writing a bad review but I just had to share my sincere experience. Vicky was very professional and responsive through her emails which made me confident in my decision to go with her. Luckily, I did a trial which made me realize she is not the one for me. I had shown her what I wanted and she told me my hair was too long, in other words basically explaining why these looks couldn't be accomplished. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt to try; after all technically she is the "makeup artist". Then her and her partner had a friend come into the studio and they were gossiping about their personal life in Vietnamese, which was not only unprofessional but it made me feel very uncomfortable. I don't think she was focused on what she was doing bc instead of doing natural makeup she made me look OLD!!! She put BLACK eyeliner under my eye and that was the tipping point for me. I told tell her I don't like black eyeliner as it felt too harsh. Then she explained everyone uses black because you want it to show in the pictures. I know I'm not a make up artist but that is not how you do make up. Im not sure if she was upset after I told her I didn't like black eyeliner under my eye but she rubbed my eyes so hard it ruined the skin underneath my eyes. She offered to schedule another day to redo but after what she did to my eyes I did not want to go to her again. I literally walked out of her salon crying in tears and was so frustrated as I had to find a new makeup artist. It was such a stressful and terrible experience. I'm glad other reviewers liked her but she is not the one for me for my bridal make up. read more

Vicky was awesome! She did my hair and make up for my wedding, and it was beautiful! I went to her because of the reviews I had read - that she has you look like you, not a stranger - and that was what I was looking for. She really knows how to make you look your best and was friendly. I went in 2 days before the wedding for a trial run, and was pleased with the results, then on my acutal day, was extremely pleased with the turnout. Vicky was wonderful, and I'm glad that she was able to do hair and makeup for my wedding ceremony. I had messaged her on Yelp and from there she was responsive. Vicky and Dawn did the make-up and hair for myself (the bride), my bridesmaid (5 of them!), and my mother. I met with Vicky a few months before the wedding and she had such a relaxed vibe about her, I loved it! She really listens to what you want, the image you want to have on your day. Whether it's minimal make-up, different sized eyelash extensions, etc, she listens to your requests. Being not too experienced with beauty products or styles myself, I also listened to her experienced suggestions. On the wedding day itself, Dawn and Vicky were able to meet us at the hotel room and set-up their stations right there. They were fun and easy to chat with and worked with a variety of skin-tones and hair types. For the blondes, they had blonde bobby-pins! They were also a great deal!
