I'm so happy I found Grace Nicole for my bridal hair and makeup. She was everything I was looking for and more! I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a calm, talented, and professional artist who will bring your vision to life. I wanted soft, natural makeup and an elegant updo, and that's exactly what she delivered. I did a trial with her about 1.5 months before the wedding, and I highly recommend doing one as it gave us the perfect chance to make small tweaks, and by the time my big day came, I felt confident and excited. As someone who doesn't wear much makeup, I was worried I might not feel like myself, but Grace Nicole found the perfect balance. I still looked like me, just glowing and beautiful. She was incredibly responsive, professional, and so thoughtful with every detail. On my wedding day, she brought two other artists to help with my bridal party, and they also amazing! We spent about five hours getting ready in the bridal suite together, and they made it such a relaxed, joyful part of the day. Grace Nicole also helped me decide how to wear my veil with my updo. We originally planned to place it under, but after seeing it all together, we adjusted and placed it over instead, and it looked perfect! She truly listened to every bit of feedback and made sure I felt comfortable and happy. If you're looking for a wedding hair and makeup artist who is talented, kind, and completely reliable -don't hesitate to reach out to Grace Nicole. She made me feel beautiful, and I'm so grateful for her! read more

I fell in love with Grace's work because the makeup looked flawless on every person she had on her Instagram page. I booked her for my engagement photos in August 2023 and I knew for sure I needed to book her ASAP for my wedding on 5/2/25. A couple days before the big day, I booked a bridal trial and she was so kind to help me figure out a hairstyle since I was indecisive between two. Her expertise and talent helped me decide on my look which gave me even more confidence for the day of. On the day of, Grace and her team came at 6am smiling and ready to get the HMU party started. They were all sooo sweet and always kept checking in with all the girls making sure if they liked/didn't like anything to make sure they felt confident with their final looks. Grace was also checking in with me throughout, not just about my makeup and hair, but about how I'm feeling which I really appreciated because it allowed me to bring myself back to the present (I was getting so nervous). They were so easy and fun to talk to and we had so much fun getting ready. My mom, MIL, and bridesmaids were all happy with their services. Grace Nicole did such an incredible job with my hair and makeup. One of my favorite things about working with Grace was that at the beginning of my HMU trial, she asked me questions about how much makeup I wear day-to-day, how I typically do my eyebrows, etc. I felt her inquiries showed that she really wanted to tailor my look so that not only would I look great, but also feel great about it. I was so impressed during the trial and on my wedding day with how my hair and makeup came out. For the wedding day, she brought along another hairstylist to help with bridesmaids' hair who also did an incredible job. All of my bridesmaids commented on how good they felt after having their hair and makeup done by Grace and her team. Plus, not only did Grace do great work, but she is fun and easy to talk to. She makes a great addition to a bridesmaids suite! read more

I could not be any happier with the outcome of getting my hair and makeup with Grace. I received so many compliments and truly felt like a princess with my hair, make up and pretty wrap dress. Grace is very sweet and so easy to talk to. It was wonderful that I didn't feel like the makeup was too heavy/cakey since I hardly do my own makeup. If you ever need to get your hair or makeup done there should be no hesitation booking her. Amazing!! read more

Grace and her glam team quite literally made my wedding. I threw a destination wedding in Oahu and coming from Chicago, was very nervous to be leaving my trusted beauty squad that took years to find and develop relationships with (yes I'm that person). I am obsessed with beauty -- hair, makeup, latest products -- so if you have super high standards and also geek out over makeup and styling -- Grace is your girl. She's the best in hawaii but she'd also be top caliber talent in any market -- including Chicago, NYC, LA. We all know that how you look on your wedding day affects your confidence that day and she made me, my family and friends look and feel amazing. Oh and her team is SO fun to get ready with -- you just want to hang out with them and my friends all raved about how much of a blast they were. So they're talented and lovely, hilarious human beings too. Book her team before it's too late -- it'll be one of the best decisions you make. read more

I loved partnering with Grace for my wedding! I first did a trial with Grace for my bachelorette. She is great to have in a hectic room of wedding parties - friends and family alike! From the trial, we were able to solidify my make-up for my wedding day and it helped keep my face ON throughout my wedding day until 3AM! Grace also did my mom's make-up and she loved the way she looked and got complimented all day! As for me, my make-up stayed flawless after all the talking, (happy) crying, eating, drinking and dancing for 15+ hours. I felt beautiful all day and night, and can't thank Grace enough for doing her magic and all the chats during our sessions. My friends and family all enjoyed your presence and I super appreciated her chatting it up with my dad so nicely during the wedding morning. I totally recommend Grace for make-up and hair services! read more

Grace was AMAZING!! She arrived on time and was very focused and professional. I would highly recommend over and over.

Grace was AMAZING! From the moment I inquired with her for HMU services for my wedding she was so kind, helpful and responsive. She even looked through all the ingredients in her makeup products to ensure they didn't have/contain the ingredients I'm sensitive to. I normally don't wear any makeup so finding someone who made me feel comfortable and above all, make me still look like me with makeup, was important to me. Let me tell you, Grace did exactly that. She nailed it on the day of our trial and hit it out of the park on my wedding day!!! And to top it off, my makeup lasted through all the tears, which let me tell you, there were a lot! And lasted through the entire night! I am so grateful to Grace and Tina for their amazing service. If you need a HMU artist for ANY event, Grace is your girl! read more

I found Grace on Instagram (Gracenicoleglam) and absolutely loved how all her brides looked fresh, flawless and beautiful without a cakey or dark makeup look. I don't wear a lot of makeup day to day so I am always weary when I have to get it done for special event. Grace was so professional and personable and listened to my likes and dislikes immediately understood the look I was going for. I booked a trial with her which I'd highly recommend as well as hair and makeup for myself, my mom and my bridesmaids for the day of the wedding. She and her team were amazing and everyone absolutely loved their looks. Could not have found a better person for my wedding day. Thank you so much Grace read more

Grace is the best! I first discovered her on instagram and since then I've always wanted to have my make up done by her. I finally got my makeup done by her for my older sister's wedding in Nov. 2017. My sister's wedding rained hard at the reception but our makeup stayed on point! I then did my makeup for the trial which I used for our engagement photos and then for my wedding day. All of the times I've got my makeup done, I had nothing to comment about except that she did a great job!! I never had any issues with the booking process, during the makeup application or anything after. My makeup held so well and the end product was better than I imagined. I had so many compliments on my wedding day and at the end of the night, I didn't want to take off my makeup or take down my hair. Thank you Grace for making me look and feel beautiful! read more

Getting married during a pandemic had it's challenges and I was worried booking vendors would be an issue, but Grace was not only available for my special day, but she was great, amazing, friendly, and flexible to last minute changes! I originally had booked hair and makeup for just my mother and I, but last minute, 3/4 of my bridesmaids decided to want to get their makeup professionally done; and to be honest, I was worried it was going to be an issue, but Grace thankfully was able to do all of us! Not only was Grace super accommodating, she came super early on the wedding day to make sure all of us were ready to go for pictures/videos! She was very funny and we all had such a great time sitting in her chair! She did a stunning job on all the bridesmaids, including the hair for my mother and I, and to my surprise, she did great magic on my mom's very thin hair, haha. My bridesmaids are looking forward to getting married in the future because they all want to book with Grace for their special day. Thank you Grace for your hard work and being such a great, talented, friendly, and amazing artist! I had so much compliments on both my hair and makeup. You definitely turned me into a fairy princess! read more

Like a lot of other people, I discovered Grace on Instagram. I've always admired her work and she was my first choice for my hair & mua for my wedding, but due to the fact that I have such a large bridal party & she works alone, she wasn't able to do so and I had to venture elsewhere. My hair & mua that I did hire just went onto maternity leave right before I needed her for my engagement photos, so I figure I try to reach out to Grace again. Fortunately, she was available! (Thank goodness!) She's very easy to get in touch with via email and she responds very quickly. We discussed what kind of services I would need, the date, time, etc & she went ahead and sent me her contract to fill out along with my deposit. As soon as she received my contract & deposit, she emailed me to confirm everything. I was quite nervous the date that I went to see her, cause I simply could not believe that I was taking engagement photos for my wedding, making it all so surreal! But Grace surely made me feel comfortable, and we talked up a storm about almost anything and everything. She really took her time to work her magic. I've never been so full of myself up until that day, like selfies for days action LOL. But on the more serious note, she and her work is amazing, she will make you feel SO beautiful. Having her do her magic on me makes me wish that I really had her the day of my wedding. Book with her and you will NOT be disappointed! read more

I've been searching around for hair and make up stylist on this island and I had no luck. People would over charge, not respond or the work was jus not to my liking. When I came across Grace's page it caught my eye with the work that she has done on previous clients and when I seen the great feedback I jus had to message her to get a price list for her services. She messaged me within a few hours and told me she was busy with a client, but asked for my email to send the pricing over. From then I Knew that I wanted to go with her because regardless of how busy she was she still managed to keep me updated and was able to get me the information I was looking for. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to be hanging. So, jus a little response like she did was really a good thing for me. So, she sent me the price list and as she was working on her client I was reviewing the prices and decided to get both hair and make up bcuz I didn't feel like going to two different people. Plus, makeup itself at MAC is $60 and then for styling ur hair is another $60+ depending on how long ur hair is and what u want done. This was a one stop shop and with 3 kids she was willing to have her kids watch and play with my kids. My kids ended up not coming but the fact that she offered that was a relief for me. Even tho she lives in Waipahu, she had a portable AC to make me feel comfortable and her set up was WOW! I'd recommend her bcuz she is sweet, easy to talk to, professional, and I love her work! She made me feel beautiful again and even if it was jus for the few hours! Thank you Grace for ur amazing work and thank you for taking me in as a client!! I will definitely b hitting u up for next years Christmas photos!!! read more

I needed to get my makeup done for prom and I googled a bunch of artists and salons but none of their styles really suited me so a friend recommended Grace Nicole. I saw her instagram and Yelp pics and really liked them so I booked an appointment. She was really nice and made small talk with me too. She took her time and I love that she's a perfectionist too. She asked what kind of look I was going for and really did nice job. She does hair as well and I absolutely love it. My prom started at 5/6pm but I got my makeup done at 11 and was worried about my lips because I forgot my gloss at home so she gave me a little case and brush to do touch ups!! I'm not a fan of makeup but I'd definitely do it again with Grace read more

I discovered Grace on Instagram! I have been a fan of her work, and I decided to book a trial with her when I was scoping for venues in Oahu! I had to make sure to book her ahead of time since I was traveling from California. I wanted to be sure I made time for my trial. To be honest, she was the only trial I did and I was completely satisfied! There are several reasons why I absolutely adore and recommend Grace: - She's professional, she's a perfectionist, and she takes great pride in her work - She's tech savvy and she's responsive via e-mail, Instagram, and text messages - She's a good listener. She really listens to what you want, what you like, and takes that all into account when she works on your hair and makeup - She's punctual! She comes earlier than the start time. She also stays within the timeframe allotted per person. I ended up hiring her for my Mom, sister, and myself! My Mom and sister absolutely LOVED their makeup and hair. I've honestly never seen my Mom stare at herself in the mirror like that before. Everyone commented on how gorgeous we all looked! - She uses quality products and even procures quality lashes to use for you to keep. She used "House of Lashes" brand on me, which were fabulous! - She does AMAZING eyebrows! As my sister would say, "her eyebrows are always on FLEEK"! When she did my eyebrows, I didn't want to wash off my face. No matter how hard I try, I cannot replicate her work. She even made this useful tutorial to follow: https://youtu.be/0rnyjY8_d9Q - Her pricing is reasonable, and honestly, her work is far more superior than the other artists that I looked up - She leaves you packets of oil blotters, lipgloss and lipstick retouch samples that you can use throughout the day - She is a talented artist! She's humble. She's awesome! She's such a sweet person! I highly recommend her. I also hired her for my post - wedding shoot for hair & makeup as well! Everyone comments on how beautiful I looked. Thank you, Grace! read more

I found Grace on IG and loved how she did all of her client's makeup! For someone who has not gone to school for hair and makeup, she really is BEYOND her craft. Her work speaks for itself so go check it out! (@filipina_doll) I told myself that if I ever needed my hair/makeup done, I would go to her. Last year 2016, I booked Grace to do my makeup for my civil wedding ceremony. I absolutely LOVED it so much that I booked her again for my vow renewal after she finished my makeup. She took out her notepad and I was impressed to see that she already had people booked the next year. That should say something about her :) Thank God she was available for my event! This past Feb, she did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, and my maid of honor. Grace was prompt on her arrival and finished within our timeline! All of us loved the way she did our hair and makeup and my mom couldn't stop looking at herself in the mirror. Haha! Our hectic and noisy environment didn't seem to phase her either. Grace is not only GORGEOUS, but also super friendly and easy to talk to. Like every bride on her wedding day, I was internally stressed, but talking to her about anything and everything helped to calm me down. I highly recommend that you book Grace Nicole for your hair and/or makeup needs. She is worth the investment! Thank you Grace for your magic hands!! read more

Grace's communication was initially slow but still responsive. However, as I got closer to my wedding date and needed to work on the details/finalization of my hair & makeup the communication was even slower. I needed to add my mom to hair/makeup which brought our total party to three people, and after multiple emails and a voicemail Grace didn't respond to let me know if she could add another stylist to assist my mom. It took her a week and a half to respond to tell me she couldn't add another stylist, and we would have to just start earlier. During this time, I found another stylist which could do our makeup to help speed things up we just needed to coordinate service times. But again, there was no response. As a result, we winded up just going with the new provider. This created a great deal of unnecessary stress surrounding my wedding day. Grace refused to return my deposit so I felt compelled to share my experience. read more

Like many others, I first came across Grace's work on Instagram as I was looking for a HMU artist for my engagement photos and destination wedding. Grace did such an amazing job both times!! My make up was fully able to withstand the rain during my engagement photo shoot and the endless waterworks during my wedding! I also really appreciated how friendly and personable Grace was both times I met her. She made the process so much fun being able to talk and share stories. Another thing that I found really helpful was that Grace often works with the same network of wedding vendors. My photographer was the same one she had for her own wedding so she was able to give me a heads up on the different items that needed to be photographed as I was getting my make up done. I really appreciated how thoughtful she is. I definitely hope to get my hair and make up done again by Grace if I need to next time I'm in O'ahu. read more

I needed hair and makeup for a wedding in Oahu and my SIL recommended Grace to me. She came across her on Instagram and knew what I needed. I loved the pictures of her work so contacted her immediately for myself and my two daughters. She was very responsive throughout the booking process. My skin is extremely dry and sensitive and Grace knew exactly how to tackle that problem from the start. She was very gentle when applying the products and made sure that nothing was too irritating. Since I don't wear makeup in my daily life, she was sure not to go heavy-handed and managed to make me look glam without going overboard. The makeup and undo held up throughout the wedding and reception - despite the extremely humid conditions, it stayed put and didn't irritate my skin at all. Throughout the process, we chatted together and she is very funny and friendly. Both my girls had their hair done and light makeup applied and she managed them flawlessly. She even got my hyperactive 7 y.o. to sit still throughout both procedures. My girls loved her, but what really iced the cake for them was the little case of lip glosses she gave us for touch-ups during the wedding. Before I booked Grace, I asked my mother if she wanted her hair and makeup done too but she said no. Once my mother saw how amazing she is, she decided to have her makeup done as well! Despite the last-minute change, Grace very sweetly accommodated her and still managed to get us ready on time. Of course, it probably helped that she showed up early to our appointment! Good call on that one, Grace :) If you are looking for a talented, professional, friendly artist to work with, I highly recommend Grace. I wish I could take her everywhere with me!! read more

For as long as I can remember, I've always followed Graces Instagram. I've always admired how she did her make up! The opportunity came in June 2016 when I needed my hair and make up done for my engagement photo shoots, I contacted Grace and she responded right away. She answered all of my questions, was very informative and really easy to book. The day of my photo shoot came and I was kind of nervous because I've never had my make up done professionally before but Grace made it so easy to relax. She's really friendly and easy to talk to. Once she was done and I saw myself in the mirror, I was completely floored! My make up and hair was gorgeous and it lasted all day! I loved my hair and make up so much that I even booked Grace for my wedding day! Fast forward to February 18, 2017 the day of my wedding. My hair and make up was absolute perfection and I received so many compliments at my ceremony and reception! I feel so lucky to have come across Grace via Instagram! I had my destination wedding in Hawaii and admit it was a bit scary planning a destination wedding through the internet and phone. I spent a good amount of time researching all our vendors to make sure we were booking quality vendors with good reviews. Not knowing anyone from Hawaii or even visiting the island during the wedding planning, all we really had to rely on were reviews from yelp and wedding websites. I searched and searched for a make up artist and couldn't find one where I really loved the artist's work. I found many with great reviews, but did not fall in love with their work. I decided to search Instagram hashtags for hawaiimakeupartist and fortunately saw Grace's work. I contacted her via email and she was available on my day. She was very professional throughout our correspondences. I booked a trial with her and when I first met her in person she was super friendly. She was open to feedback about the makeup and made sure to ask if I wanted her to make any changes. When I made suggestions, she did whatever it took to make sure I was satisfied. She takes pride in what she does and I could tell my happiness of her work was what mattered most to her. On my wedding day, she arrived much earlier than the time scheduled to make sure she would be on time in case she ran into any traffic. I think this was much better than arriving late. She took her time on me to make sure her work was of quality. I was very happy with the hair and make up she did for me. I received many compliments at my wedding of how beautiful I looked and it's all because of Grace. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get their hair or make up done. She is super friendly and nice and will make it seem like you're friends rather than just doing business. I love her work and it's real! She just opened her yelp account so don't let the lack of number of reviews stop you from booking her! She has plenty of years of experience and has many photos of her work on Instagram. read more

Grace is not only a fantastic makeup artist, but a kind hearted person as well. I had about 5 months to plan my small-destination wedding in Hawaii. My biggest anxiety was over who to hire to do my hair and makeup. I reached out to the wedding planning company, and they referred me to the person they use for makeup/hair but honestly I wasn't impressed much by her work. I used instagram to search for Grace , and did some more research online. She was kind enough to respond immediately, and very friendly to work with (sidenote: I loved her work on instagram, she posts up to date looks. Also, she has a wide -range of talent as well. She can do more subtle makeup or more elaborate for a night out.) We got to Hawaii (our first time) about 5 days prior to our wedding and I was able to text grace to let her know we had arrived at the Hale Koa hotel and what room we were located in. I was nervous b/c I didn't schedule a run-through appointment, however she has a lot of her work posted on Instagram so I knew in my heart she would do a great job. She arrived early with her entire kit, and she was very friendly - which helped keep my mind at ease. Now, onto the best part I LOVED my hair & makeup. It truly showed in the pictures of what a great job she did. At the end of the night, I was VERY sad to wash it off. Just to add icing on the cake, she is very friendly and 2 weeks later she emailed me pictures she had taken from her camera. Thanks again, Grace! read more
