She truly understood the assignment and brought my vision to life even better than I imagined. Muse is a modern and minimalist decor-style salon with kind stylist. I have gotten 2 services from 2 stylist, bot appointments left me dissatisfied and regretful. Both services were above average in cost without meeting an average standard in my opinion. In particular, I spent $500 on a hair straining service with poor results. My hair is naturally on the "straighter" side but tend to have frizzy baby hairs and some waves. Hence I get my hair treated to allow for wash & go. At Muse, I experienced a single process treatment and after 3 weeks, my hair is back to its original shape. Very disappointed. In comparison, I had gone to another salon for years and it was always a 2 process treatment that left me with results that lasted nearly a year! It's incredibly unfair to have charged me such a high amount when my hair was virgin up to my shoulders . I shouldn't have to endure another stylist after they admitted to the bad dye job and took full responsibility, yet offered no full compensation. I'm deeply disappointed that this happened just before the holiday, leaving me with a bad dye job. I was a little hesitant to to give this place a try mostly because of other reviews talking about the price, and becuase we really dont trust people with our hair and have had some horrible experiences that ended in tears. One of the determining factors was the immediate responses I was getting when reaching out on Yelp, which were very polite in tone and gave me the feeling that they wanted to take care of us Both my daughters and myself have really long hair, so we always expect to be charged more. My oldest just had a baby and wanted something easier to manage since her hair was to her knees. Shanelle really took care of her and made her feel like a brand new person. Maya took extra care of my other daughter and myself. The vibe is very friendly, all staff were really polite and engaged with all guests, including the ones the were not working on. I observed everyone walking out with a smile as I waited for my appt to start. The price is a little high but I have been to other places who charge more. Also, if hesitant to try Muse or another pricey salon consider this, supercuts now (when we went last year) charges everything Ala carte (shampoo and blow out are no longer including in the price). My bill at Muse was about the same as I paid at supercuts. Keep in mind you get what you pay for, salons like Muse (at least the experience we got) really provide that personal experience and care and do not just treat you like the next number on their list, granted not all supercuts or other franchises are the same but we have mostly had similar experiences. read more

I discovered this salon through Yelp while searching for a place to take my daughter for her first-ever hair coloring service. With such high ratings, I felt confident that we would have a great experience. Unfortunately, our visit did not live up to the reviews, and I am giving 1 star for the reasons below. My daughter has never colored her hair before she has long, virgin hair that falls below her waist, naturally medium brown with red and blonde tones. She wanted soft layers and highlights, and we even brought a reference photo to ensure clarity. I also specifically requested that no more than a couple of inches be trimmed. To the stylist's credit, the haircut itself was exactly what we asked for. However, the coloring process took six hours, and the results were very disappointing. Despite only receiving front partial highlights, my daughter's hair looked almost unchanged--certainly nothing close to the photo we provided. The outcome did not reflect the time spent or the extremely high price of $570. I considered returning to ask for a correction, but the experience left me so frustrated that I do not feel comfortable going back. While my daughter tried to stay positive and said she liked it, I was honestly disappointed every time I looked at her hair. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this salon, and I will be more cautious relying solely on Yelp reviews in the future. read more

It was easy to make an appointment because the young lady that answered the phone was pleasant & welcoming. The hairstylist, Ariana Cabato was also pleasant & welcoming & very patient. I was so happy with my haircut & style plus she was informative about caring for my hair & treated my hair & scalp with such care, it was a wonderful experience. The shop impressed me also. It was clean roomy & bright. The stylists seem to help each other, one of them swept the hairs that was around my chair for Ariana. That impressed me also. My girl, Darlla, did a FANTASTIC job on my curls!! She took my vision and BROUGHT IT TO LIFE!!! (wait till you see the pictures!) Darlla patiently worked on my hair for hours and did a BEAUTIFUL job, I had not seen my curls like that in years. But on top of it all the price could not be beat ESPECIALLY for a curly cut. For all my Oahu military wives who are looking for their new hair girl, Phoebe is who you should see! I don't get my hair done often but needed it done for my wedding and came to her after being unsatisfied at another place I had been last year. I went in for a balayage and she was incredible. She really took her time and her attention to detail is amazing. I had never had a true balayage before (my hair was never long enough) and while I absolutely loved it, realized it was more blonde than I had planned to be for my wedding. I explained this to Phoebe and she knew exactly what I was wanting to change and how to do it. I went back in a week later and she redid my hair for free. It turned out perfectly. I had my hair styled for my rehearsal dinner and then my wedding and both girls told me how good my highlights looked. I couldn't thank Phoebe enough. This was my first time ever coming to this salon and Phoebe was my hair stylist! It's been a couple years since I had a hair cut or trim and she gave me an awesome, attentive service and was easy to talk to. She listened when I said I am still trying to grow my hair out and didn't cut more than needed.
