Alan is the BEST! Most likely the best haircut i've ever had EVER. I've had my haircut from Tokyo, JAPAN to Manhatten, NYC. Alan is really confident in what he does and he has results to show it! He is incredibly meticulous and listens to what you want, but at the same time provides his own artistic judgement to give you the best haircut possible! I have a wedding this weekend and I really wanted my hair cut and Alan squeezed me right in. I went in today to their really stylish salon and had no wait, just prompt service. I have so many girigiris on my head most people get really scared when they see my hair. But Alan just said "shoots!" and went for it! So glad I decided to call and make an appointment here! I made a hair appointment with Sasha and OMG I love it! I've actually been looking for a place to do my hair for over a year. I heard of this place via a friend and decide to check it out on yelp. I saw Sasha's work and decided to send her a text. She happily replied in a timely manner which made me feel really comfortable. The process was long (5 hours) but I didn't mind at all because I could tell she really cared about what she was doing. I did a base change, hair cut, and balayage highlights. She was very attentive and made sure I knew exactly what she was doing. She also made sure it was what I wanted. The outcome? I LOVE my hair! I don't think I've ever loved the outcome of my hair as much as I do now. For the first time, it came out exactly how I wanted it! I was so excited and so so so happy with the outcome!! She even told me which products to use to keep it nice and how to style it (I always wanted to ask someone, but was always to shy). Yes, I'll be going back :) and if you're still thinking about making an appointment, you should! *omg totally forgot to mention, I drove all the way from Kaimuki to get my hair done. Candace is one of the only people I trust with my hair. I've been going to her since I was about 14 years old, and am now 21. She carefully listens to me when I explain how I want my hair, and is always giving me tips on what products I could use to help with my hair issues. I've never been disappointed with a haircut from her after all these years! I would definitely recommend her. About the shop itself--it's just adorable! The decor is quite fancy, but doesn't make you feel uncomfortable like some high-end salons do. When I went early one day, it wasn't busy, which is good because I'd rather not be around a whole lot of people while getting a haircut. 5 Stars! :D read more

Went here today for my first appointment with Lyndsey. Was really on the fence about what I wanted to do. I had long, stingy, dry ombré that needed to be gone ASAP and she suggested a beautiful red copper brown color that completely complements my skin tone. She also helped me decide on a different haircut as I scrolled though a million images on Pinterest. I FINALLY found my go to spot for haircuts and my go to hairstylist, Sasha. She is super awesome and knows exactly what I want. I loved my long hair but expecting baby #2 in just 5 weeks, I wanted to go shorter, like almost shoulder length short!!! It is always nerve racking cutting your hair right? Especially as a female because we are so particular. But I absolutely love how my short hair turned out. Before finding Sasha, I've went to other salons who tried to cut my hair short and just completely failed. I will never go to anyone else! Candice is amazing!!! She's the only one I will let touch my hair. I used to pay $400 for my cut, color and highlight and Candice does an even better job for a much more reasonable price. I am completely impressed with this salon. The website initially persuaded me to make an appointment. The owner's philosophy about customer satisfaction was very refreshing. The owner is the stylist who fixed my awful botched highlights from another salon. She did an amazing job and I appreciated her honesty about how pictures of different colors I brought in would look on me. The way she shampooed and conditioned my hair was spa like! I feel that I should also mention that the owner also is active in continuing education as a stylist.
