Courtney did an amazing job on my hair! I've been wanting to cut and recolor for a long time, I just like to do my research before picking a stylist. After many recommendations from friends and seeing her work on IG, I decided to make an appointment with Courtney. I ended up texting her and she replied to me the same day. After texting back and fourth a few times, I scheduled an appointment for a month later (she was on a trip). The day finally came to chop off and recolor all the dry brass in my hair lol. I waited about 20 min because she was finishing up on another client, no biggie. I told her what I was wanting to do and she started to do her magic. I told her that I wanted to go back closer to my natural color, something with less maintenance but keeping dimension in my hair. I also have super thick/long hair, so she ended up cutting off a lot and adding long layers and thinned it out a bit. The whole thing took maybe 2-3hrs-cut, color, wash, style. I loved how it turned out-exactly what I wanted. She used monat products and my hair was so soft, smooth, and shiny looking! She's also super sweet and very affordable which is a big plus! The building is located next to Wahiawa General. It's on a corner and it says "711 Kilani" on it. The salon is located on the first floor and you can park in that little parking lot next door. Definitely would recommend Courtney. It does seem like her schedule fills up fast, so you may wanna book in advance. I already booked my next appointment with her in May! read more

Made an appointment with michlenn and things kept popping up but she was able to accommodate me and reschedule me in a time that worked for me. My work schedule switched on me so I tried to switch my appointment last minute so thank god she was able to fit me so I can have beautiful hair for an event I was going to. She got started on me right away when I arrived there. I never expected much because I've had my hair done professionally before and never truly got what I wanted until I sat in her chair. The process took about 3 hours? But three hours was worth it. The pricing is pretty average compared to other stylists but you really do get your money's worth with michlenn. The first picture is a before and after on the day of. The second is my hair today four days later. Still nice and healthy. 10/10 would recommend going to her. Never had my hair this light and cool toned. I'm not too sure about the other stylists but they all seem to be very nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable. read more

I had an appointment with Lindsay at 10 am. I left early to make sure I get there early since I have not been there before and I didn't know where it was. I drove around looking for this place and for the life of me, I couldn't find the number. And if it had been according to the number, it would be in the place of Gold Coin Bakery. I called, no answer - everyone is busy. I texted my friend, texted her pictures of where I was... after a phone call, I finally found the place and I was late. sigh.. That's less time for me to get a sexy haircut. But Lindsay worked her magic! Wash, cut, blow dry AND curl with the remaining time of my appointment! So, in the first pic my hair used to be an ash blonde (done by her of course) but over the past 8 months that I never got it done/retouched, it turned out to be that color. And I STILL got compliments from it! So I decided to go for an ashy brown/gray color (second pic) and that's exactly what I got! I needed a place to cut and color my hair before my graduation and I couldn't find anyone at any other salon! I guess that was a good thing, no wait I guess that was a GREAT thing because Cat did an amazing job with my hair. This is literally the FIRST time that I showed a stylist a picture of what I wanted and it came out almost identical! I'm so happy with my hair! Its so full of life again! Went to Courtney for 5 years before we moved to the mainland this summer she does an AMAZING job, and includes an awesome scalp massage during shampoo - loved it! She is busy because she's so good and has loyal clients, so book in advance and give her time to respond, Blush doesn't have a receptionist or main phone line. I used to schedule my appts at the end of the day and just leave work early but then I realized I could only show off my awesome "do" right away at home so I started going in the mornings and went to work late looking fabulous Since moving I've been to 2 different stylists who both commented on how good the balayage she did is!! She was also so good that my whole family went to her - husband, son, and daughter! The whole salon is great, good vibes and no pressure to buy products! I saw a lot of posts on Instagram from Michlenn and decided to try and give her a shot. My hair is very dark and I've tried to go blonde / ash blonde at a previous salon and it didn't end well. My hair was dead and not at my desired color so I gave up and just cut it off. Michlenn was able to get my hair to a place it's never been and still keep it healthy. I have made the decision to make her my permanent stylist because I love her service. She is also very sweet and easy to conversate with...I never leave her care disappointed and I leave with so much more confidence. The best way to get an appointment is to call the hairstylists on their cell phones, as listed on their webpage. I tried reaching them via FB and left a message on their salon answering machine. Normally, I would have given up and tried another place, but my roommate and another friend are customers there and their hair looks fantastic - I was adamant on getting an appointment. I checked out their website, where it clearly states: "We are a small salon and we do not have a receptionist. To ensure that all of clients have our undivided attention, we do not answer our phone while working. However, when a break permits, we will return your call and do our best to fit you into one of our schedules." Ok, nooow I get it. So.... I went down the line and started calling... My rating is based on: the ease of making an appointment, the customer service received once a stylist is reached and the great styles I've seen on my friends. I would say 3 stars based on how long it takes to get a hold of someone, but the reality is, this is a small and fairly new salon. They still have some kinks to work out as far as communication but the information can be found on their website (as listed on yelp --- and this review). I live in Vegas now but anytime I fly back home (usually 2ce a year) I have Catherine do my hair (highlights and a cut). I always, always get people that ask me where I get my hair done. This time, I was back in vegas, and it was about 8 weeks after seeing Cat, that a cocktail server at the Wynn stopped me and asked me who did my hair. This was a girl who spent $180-$200 on her hair and she was asking me?? Needless to say, she was disappointed that Cat was in Hawaii and not Las Vegas! I feel like a barbie every time I leave her salon! She's extremely professional, personal, uses top of the line products and yet manages to charge a moderate price.
