I have been coming here for over a decade and I never leave disappointed. I usually just come for eyebrow waxing or a trim but I decided to get partial highlights and a hair cut. Indah delivered, yet again and I'm so happy. My hair looks even better in its natural curly state - please keep in mind it's so hard to find stylists who can cut curly hair and everyone in this salon knows how- but I only have pics from when I left the salon. I'm sooooo happy with how it came out. Thank You, Indah!!!! read more

My kid left feeling like a princess. She loved her haircut, and so did I! Thanks Joanne! We will definitely be back!

Not a very good place for haircut, unless you're okay with uneven hair and need to fix it yourself at home. The way Joanne held the scissors felt like she was new to this. Would not recommend this place. read more

$75 for a haircut! Hair wasn't even shampooed. Will be looking for other affordable hair salons.

Simply Nice Salon delivers a remarkably pleasant and memorable experience. From the moment you step in, the intimate, cute ambiance featuring just three chairs creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that's only surpassed by their exceptional customer service. It's clear that client satisfaction is a top priority. The staff, especially the beautician, are remarkably kind and professional. They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at ease. Their hair styling skills are superb, ensuring that you'll walk out looking and feeling your best. The impressive skills they demonstrated are usually associated with upscale, pricey salons, but Simply Nice Salon is anything but exorbitant - it's refreshingly affordable. Moreover, the tasteful music selection contributes to the overall pleasant vibe. It strikes a great balance, ensuring the salon isn't too noisy or too quiet. It is an absolutely amazing job on my hair. I hadn't been able to get a haircut or color in months and they did a great job with very little guidance from me. Simply Nice Salon truly lives up to its name. It's a delightful blend of comfort, skilled service, affordability, and style. Whether you're in for a quick trim or a complete hair makeover, Simply Nice Salon promises a genuinely 'nice' experience that's sure to exceed expectations. read more

Yay so happy my wife found this place. So happy to luck out and land Michelle for the same day appointment. Her haircut was on point and perfect for me. I love the texturing she did which really helps to give my hair a thicker look. The best part of the haircut was the shampoo. It had to be the best shampoo massage I've ever had. Really looking forward to going back again. Hair grow faster please! read more

Joanne did my bob haircut and I loved it! Definetly will be getting my hair done by her again.

Because of other yelpers, I bit the bullet and decided to take the chance at getting my haircut here. I was ready for a big chop, and honestly didn't want to wait long for an appointment. My hair was getting really irritating lol. I'm pregnant, it's hot, & the long thick hair just wasn't making any sense to keep. I called the salon and Indah answered the phone, I was able to set an appointment with her for the following afternoon. They do have safety precautions put in place before arriving to the salon, they ask the usual questions. If you're feeling sick or if you've traveled & they also take your temp & a little hand sanitizer drops out of their fancy machine. Indah is the sweetest and made me feel so comfortable being there. She really took her time to cut my hair, at every step asked me what was okay and went over what we would do. Of course we also had casual chit chat as the hair cut went by, I didn't even realize I was in her chair for almost an hour! She just wanted to make sure that my hair was perfect & It honestly was. It was exactly what I came in for. My head feels a lot lighter, the short hair is easier to manage lol, & I feel great about my hair now! I really like how It turned out. If you're thinking about a hair cut, and want to support a local salon. I definitely recommend coming here. read more

I called last minute and Joann (joanne?) fit me in the next day. Both times she has cut my hair and is the only one I have found that doesn't chop it all off. My hair grows super slow and I'm always nervous about someone cutting it. Joanne knows what she is doing. My hair is long and I need to stand up for her to trim it. She always gives me a mirror and makes sure the amount that she is going to takeoff is OK with me. She's very sweet and takes her time. I will keep going back and requesting for her and trust her skills. Thank you Miss Joanne! read more

I left a detailed review on google. I don't want to waste my time with the details again. The whole salon all 3 ladies are unprofessional by the standards listed in the definition. Rude, disrespectful and lacking in basic skills of communication (nothing to do with a language barrier) just the worst way to start the new year. save yourself some stress and go anywhere else. read more

I called in at 2:45 pm and got an appointment that same day! The salon is next to the 7-11 and zippys so there was a lot of parking. Michelle did my haircut, she is so sweet and easy to talk to! And she's fast. She made sure that I was happy with how much length she cut off. The services seem pretty cheap as well, most places charge a lot for women's cuts. Thank you all so much! The entire staff was amazing. I called super last minute and they were willing to take me in within 20 minutes. I decided to bleach my own hair and it turned out awful, duh. I came in 1.5 hours to closing. Not only did they fix my hair within that time, they stayed late and insisted on buying me a beverage from the store next door. Sweetest staff and went above and beyond to help me. Recently moved to Ewa and they are now my GO TO! read more

I went in for a haircut and couldn't be happier. I spoke to Joanne to schedule an appointment, who was very professional and nice over the phone. When I arrived I was greeted and Joanne took me right away for my appointment. She asked what type of haircut I wanted and I showed her a picture. My hairstylist Joanne was so friendly and sweet. I absolutely love my haircut! I'm a new mama and I couldn't handle my long hair anymore so I was due for a fresh cute cut and im so thankful to Joanne who did just that! Thanks to Yelp! I found this place while on travel. I called for a same day appointment and they were nice enough to squeeze me in for an eyebrow waxing and two haircuts for my boys. The ladies greeted me as soon as I walked in and taken cared of right away. The esthetician asked me questions about how I wanted my brows done and even showed me her work after the first brow. She took her time and was very clean. No left over wax on my face nor clothes (+1 star). I was really satisfied with her work and my brows got the island treatment. My bill came out to $26 for eyebrows and upper lip wax. Haircuts for men: $16 Haircuts for kids: $13 - They did a fantastic job on my son's haircut and actually took the time to ask what we wanted and did it. I hate to say it but I think I've found my new hair stylist and she's a lot closer to my house and about $5 cheaper than my original hair stylist .... and the best part I LOVE MY HAIR !!!! Michelle was running about 15 min late and I guess she knew that I was little upset ... she was professional and suggested if it was ok to see the other hair stylist and I refused ... I just waited 5 min. And she took me in. The shampoo part was so relaxing. She massage my scalp and a little of my neck area. I've never had that done to me ever. While she was cutting my hair she suggested products I could use for my thin and easy tangled hair which I'm gonna look into. All in all it was a very good experience and my hair looked Fabulous!!! I would highly recommend Michelle! She went BEYOND my expectations !!!! Friendly, professional and great hair stylist ! read more

I have been wanting to get my hair done for a while but after a year of covid lockdown my husband, however, managed to secure me an appointment as a surprise for me, on Saturday, 2/20/2021, at Simply Nice Salon at 1PM. My husband had told me that he had scheduled a full service for my hair - this means shampoo, cut, color and style. It was the day of and I get dropped off 10 mins early and I walk in and I was greeted by a lady who was also my assigned stylist. She asked if I had an appointment and what name was it under. I gave her my name and she asked again what services are you booked for, I answered hair cut, color, and shampoo, she interrupted that I was only scheduled for a cut. I quickly called my husband who confirmed that he had set up a full service appointment. I agreed to an only hair cut. It was almost to the end of the cut the stylist, however, stated that she had some time to shampoo my hair as well, and I said oh ok, that will be awesome! I smiled happily and made my way to the sink. I had instructed the stylist that I had wanted my hair length to just be below the shoulders and she said ok. The cut begins and the stylist starts engaging me in politics and different cultures. The dialogue was very uncomfortable but at the same I did not want to be rude. During the cut, i was turned away from the mirror the whole time...and I did not see any of the hair cut. The stylist, after cutting my hair, offered to straight iron my hair because she had time. Again, I said ok that is so nice of you. After the straight iron, I paid and tipped the stylist $20 for her time and I left. Just for your information, I have never gone to places like this to get my hair done. I usually go to salons at the mall at Pearlridge or Ka makana after reading reviews. It's funny how I searched for reviews for this place and it has good reviews and people seem to like their eyebrow waxing. We had family day out that day and I did not pay much attention to my hair as I trusted the stylist and the salon that provided the service. However, when we got home that day and I proceeded to put my hair up, I realized that I could barely make a pony. My hair was too short. Some hair were shorter than others and it was a TERRIBLE JOB! This led me to think why I all of a sudden was offered shampoo and straight iron when I was first told that a hair cut was the only service I was going to get. I waited two weeks to allow my hair to regrow and I scheduled a full service for my hair at Hoala at Kama Kana Ali'i. I go to the appointment and the woman who helped me was very professional and asked me how I want my hair to be done, I showed her a picture and she said I can make that happen. Before we started with all that, the first question the stylist there asked me was who did my hair cut. I began to tell her the story of Simply Nice Salon and the stylist called her coworkers over and they all confirmed that the stylist at Simply Nice Salon did a number on my hair. They could not believe how uneven the cut was. They asked if I want it a A cut style? Im like, umm I don't know what that is but I specifically told her shoulder length cut....the hair stylist said wow! That is a A cut not shoulder length cut and continues on saying how disproportionate some parts were to others and the worst of is, some hairs were cut almost to my skull. *angry angry angry...i could have gone back that day and things would've gotten out of hand. They were closed early and the next day comes around, my mom advice that my hair is going to grow back and it's also the Holy week, so forgive her anyway. She was lucky I would have called her out at that salon place and would talk to the manager about her. God help me to have some peace of mind. Mess with anything about me, but my hair...that will be a no no. Please be warned! I do not recommend this place read more

This salon was pretty impressive for a first time experience! From making an appointment to getting an actual haircut. I'm surprised their customer service is quite excellent. It's small and cozy but parking is great, which is always a plus for me. Inda cut my mom and I's hair. What I liked about her was she really took her time and doesn't cut more than what you want, rather ask you if you want it a little bit more shorter or not. That's a big plus because she makes you feel comfortable enough to say how you feel about your haircut and don't have to lie and say it's fine even do you know it's not what you really wanted. You can really feel and see the difference in their service compared to a 3 star salon. Other workers also seemed very good too. read more

Based on the great reviews on Yelp, I've decided to take a long hike to get my hair fixed after 3.5 months of COVID neglect. Michelle took a quick glance on the style pic I brought in and cut my hair perfectly. For the touch up and toning of my faded highlights with lots of gray, I didn't even have to say a word. The final product was just wonderful. For someone who's been to a beaty school salon past 15 years this was a real treat!! With $35 for cut, $95 touch up/toning and shampoo (no styling at this time due to COVID caution), Michelle's service made my visit so worthwhile. Movies while you wait after color application, a massage chair, and Michelle's heavenly head/neck massage was a bomb, making you feel coming back. Apologies for 4 stars because of wet cut and no styling! read more

I was looking for someone and a new place to get my hair done with color and cut since the girl that used to do it for me moved and since she moved she couldn't fit me in her busy schedule. One of my closest friend recommended this place and she also recommended a lady named Inda. I called Simoly Nice Salon and asked for Inda. She was the one that answered the phone and she even had an opening the same day which I was very happy. So I went and see her and I was so glad and happy I did. She gave my hair new look and lots of love. Since being sick and diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney and autoimmune diseases, my round face grew fat and fatter each day. Inda gave me a haircut that fits with my round face. And I love the color she gave me too. She took her time and never once rush doing my hair. I definitely highly recommend this place. And I highly recommend Inda too and the lady that was working with her I forgot to get her name but both of them are very good. read more

What a hidden gem in Ewa Beach! Who would've thought such a small salon contains such amazing people who does high quality work! Joanne who is the owner truly does an amazing job with eyebrows! Joanne emphasizes on that arch! yes! that arch is a must! Eyebrows on point! She also fills them in! Amazing!!I use to go to her before and lost track of her when she left the other salon she was working at. Now I'm so glad that I found her! Ok so I had an ombre and was totally done with it! Michelle who cut my hair way back when did such an amazing job in blending my ombre to one color with partial lowlights. She and Joanne tagged team and worked on my hair. They was able to tone down the ombre color to a non bleach look and was able to blend my top half into my the bottom half! I am one happy girl!!! So thankful that my boyfriend stumbled upon this place! I'm loving how it is so close to home! yes! yes! yes! Reasonable prices too might I add! lots of free parking! Amazing staff! My hair dresser was very sweet & considerate. I took her advice to not kill my hair by blinding it to light, so I didn't get the look that I wanted. I thought I was kinna weird that they don't blow dry your hair so I left with my hair still wet. When my hair dried I seen that not all the lighted hair was covered. I unfortunately can't remember my stylists name but she was absolutely amazing. I went in very anxious. I had very very long hair and had become very attached to it. She was so kind and patient and tried so hard to give me the style I was after while trying to keep the length I so desperately wanted to save. After much discussion and nervousness on my part, she talked me into going shorter with more layers. I got to say I LOVE my hairstyle. It so incredibly easy to style and it's so full and healthy. I can't believe how many compliments I get on it. Thank you thank you! I appreciate your patience and kindness. Much mahalo! read more

INDA is the best!! Always accommodating!! And super sweet!! Reasonable Prices. I am truly blessed!

The hair stylist was professional and very nice. The issue I had was with the supervisor/owner. I paid adult price of $35 for my 12 year olds hair which was fine because she had medium length hair I didn't argue about it. Their prices are clearly listed in their shop as $15 for child hair cut. My youngest daughter was only 6 years old and had already super short hair, the salon was trying to charge me $33 for a trim of her hair saying that because of COVID their prices changed. I disagreed and the owner was so rude continuing to say where do you see the prices, (it was on the wall) she then proceeded to say no that's for boys and men but mens prices were listed as well for $18 and it CLEARLY stated CHILDRENS hair cut $15. She was trying to charge whatever she wanted after the haircut and tried to justify price gouging just because of COVID. I will not pay $33 for a little trim of my child's already super short hair especially if you already have set prices listed. Don't price gouge your customers! read more

I don't even know where to start with this review. I still want to cry and punch myself in the face whenever i look at my hair. It was so bad that even my 5 & 7 yr old nieces made fun of me. I made an appointment for 9:15 am on 5/21. Walked in, was greeted by one of the stylists. She sounded surprised that i had an appointment as if they weren't expecting me. She quickly looked in her appointment book and said that i was with Inda? I think that was her name. I waited for about 7 minutes while she finished with a client's eyebrows. She greeted me and asked what i wanted done. I showed her some pics and we agreed that i wanted to keep my length and trim off 2 inches. She even showed me how much of the ends she was going to cut off. We also talked about long layers and how i wanted my fringe. Not too thick, not too blunt, and kind of wispy. Before coming here i haven't had my hair cut in over a year. My hair reached down to my rib cage. After the cut, it is above my boob. Thats about 4 inches. She just kept cutting and never once asked if the length was ok, never asked if the length of the shortest layer was ok. And oh man, dont even get me started on the fringe. She said, I'm going to cut it long first ok? And then i cut shorter if u want." i said ok. And then after that she just kept cutting it shorter and shorter! One side is shorter than the other and theres a short chunk right in the center. She never asked if the length of the fringe was ok... Just kept cutting again. At this point i could tell my hair was going to be horrible. I told her that I didnt like my bangs and that they weren't even. She tried to cut it some more, but then it'd be up to my eyebrows! So i just told her no, its ok I'm done. And another thing, they dont shampoo your hair. She just started straightening my hair and then cut it. My hair had no volume whatsoever. It was flat except for the tight juvenile curls she styled for me. The cut came to $29.32. I still gave her $10 tip because she's a nice lady and I'm not an asshole. When i paid she said, " i told you i was cutting long first." and i said " yeah but afterwards you just kept cutting and never asked if the length of my bangs was ok. She said sorry and i left. Sat in my car for 5 minutes... Examined the damage, tied my hair back into the short pony tail that it is now and cried for a little bit because i looked like a disgusting 12 year old boy. I keep telling myself that hair grows and that maybe within a month my fringe wont look like something i did myself when i was drunk. read more

Never ever ever wait until the last minute to find someone to do your brows. When you procrastinate, you end up desperate and you settle. I was desperate a couple of weeks ago to find someone do my brows and I found Simply Nice here on Yelp. I quickly skimmed through the reviews and read that Michelle was the girl to go to. Oh how I wished that I read Alexis S.'s review. I show up to my appointment and I sit in Michelle's chair. Joanne (or Joanna?) was there waiting for her client to show up. I tell Michelle that I found her on Yelp and that she had a lot of great reviews. Michelle says "Is it me because there was another Michelle that worked here. I'm Michelle 2." My immediate thought is OH SH!T this isn't the girl. For some reason I turn to look at Joanne and she quickly says "NO! That's the right Michelle!" Yeah, right. I should've walked away at that moment. I take a leap of faith and let Michelle do her thing. Fifteen minutes into the session, my eyes are closed and I can hear the both Michelle and Joanne talking and Joane is telling Michelle what to do! I can feel that they're taking off a lot more hair then I'm used to, and so I open my eyes and there is Joanne, pointing at my brows telling Michelle how to make them even and where to take out more hair!!! W. T. F. If she truly is the Michelle that all they previous Yelp reviewers are raving about, tell me why is she getting instructions like a newbie and why are my brows far from being on fleek!!! I was upset and pissed that Joanne had straight up LIED to me. My brows were messed up, but not messed up enough that I can't grow them back (i hope) and thank goodness that I can fill them in to make them look decent. I would've given them a couple more stars if Joanne hadn't LIED about Michelle. And Michelle kept her mouth shut knowing full well that she wasn't the girl on Yelp.
