It was important to me and my husband that our MC was not a goofy 90's hype man. Bryan was so cool and really worked to figure out exactly what we wanted. Everyone's taste in music is different and he did the greatest job getting to know us to find out what we liked and then our guests as well. He kept us smiling and laughing! He was clear with announcements, kept our entire party on the dance floor all night, and wasn't cheesy or over the top. We rented the mirror photo booth which was a big hit. We got a book of photos at the end of the night that are truly priceless! Bryan made the planning process fun and easy and helped to keep our event running smoothly. I would choose them again and again. Oh! And we also hired a piano player for our ceremony and cocktail hour who was so talented. We put together a playlist of our favorite songs and he played every single song masterfully. We have some friends who are musicians who were so impressed! Beyoncé to Queen, every song was awesome! The EMG team are true professionals who will make sure you are at ease and having fun from day one of planning up until the very end of your event. Thank you so much!

On the wedding day, Isaac, our DJ, and the performers coordinated seamlessly with our wedding coordinators, and everything went smoothly. They were kind and professional, and their performance greatly enhanced the vibe of the night. The live saxophonist and percussionist playing along with Isaac kept our guests engaged and energized the room. The music selection was spot-on, adhering to our preferences perfectly. We absolutely recommend Dark Collective. They were fun to work with, delivered everything we asked for, and maintained clear communication throughout. There was no miscommunication, and they put on a great show. We would definitely hire them again. - Professional and organized with excellent communication. - Seamless coordination on the wedding day. - Live performance enhanced the atmosphere and kept guests engaged. We were late to inquire, and after a great chemistry call, they locked it in within the week. * Had a reasonable rate and worked with us to make it happen. * Their interface for sending references and preferences was easy and integrated, and most importantly WORKED. Our songs got played perfectly on the day. * Used our inspiration and built on it in a way that made the dance floor electric. * Gracefully avoided requests, but allowed the ones we wanted. * Came with 3 set ups, so all our locations were pre-set up in every location. * Zero feedback, awkward "is this thing on" moments, or struggling to hear speakers, even when they're bad with holding the mic. From the music, to everything in between, you can't go wrong. We triple-bid the project, and Dart was easily our strongest choice.

Thanks due to Wells Crandall of Sugartown Industries - an amazingly talented, down to earth DJ who would likely sooner face plant into your wedding cake than play "The Chicken Dance" at your reception. Wells works to avoid cliche (and let's be real, boring!) songs and aspects of a wedding reception ::cough:: bouquet toss ::cough:: My husband and I met with Wells three times before the wedding to plan the ultimate playlist. These meetings were relaxed and fun, as Wells has a cool demeanor that makes meeting with him seem like an old friend. The day of my wedding I was a bit nervous that the music might be too mod for my family's conservative midwestern ways ... this was not the case! The genius of Wells is that he quickly picks up on the crowd's tastes, and incorporates a variety of music that is both popular and fun. No song is played in duration (unless the crowd is raging), and the variety and lack of slow songs keeps things moving. When the dancing portion of the evening began, my guests flooded the dance floor like there was no tomorrow. I saw some family members bust moves I did not know they were physically capable of! In an unwieldy testament of the awesome music, my guests did the following (amazing!) things: - A double dutch dance with an invisible jumprope - Lots of (literally) ass-busting breakdancing - A human train that weaved throughout The W hotel - Shattered many a glass on the dance floor ( yeah, we know how to party) - Refused to leave! As the clock struck midnight, we demanded one more song ... and our wish was granted. If it were socially acceptable, I would build a tiny musical shrine of old CDs dedicated to the fabulousness that is Sugartown Industries. Instead, I will make due with the playlist Wells provided after the wedding, which I listen to often to remind me of what a great event we had with the help of Sugartown Industries. Wells sent us a copy of the entire playlist from the cocktail hour and rececption. I obviously made an iTunes playlist and listen to it daily as a reminder of Wells' outstanding contributions to our lovely wedding.
