The owner of the…read morebusiness, Bill Boettcher, told me less than 48 hours before my event that he would be sending a substitute when all along I was told it would be he at my event. All during the time before my event he was extremely difficult to reach but I let it go because my primary music was to be through the live band, who was fantastic. But there were reasons I also wanted a DJ and my reasons turned out to be valid. The DJ Bill ultimately sent was ok. the music was fine and really there was nothing in particular I needed to have the DJ do or to discuss with him so no complaints. But the motivator, as sweet as could be, did not seem to know her job. I had to tell her when to give out items and if I hadn't told her we would still be waiting. Only during the last hour did she do any kind of interaction with the kids. There were no games as I had been told there would be and items that were specifically ordered for my event, I never saw. All of this didn't leave me thrilled, but the worst was that I wrote to Bill after the event and let him know I just wanted to talk to him. I wasn't going to make too big a deal of it but I thought maybe the motivator was new and simply needed some guidance. I didn't hear back for a week and when I wrote again, I received a rather rude response admonishing me for not being more patient. He didn't like some of what I wrote in my second e-mail (which did indicate I was upset he hadn't responded yet)and indicated that was the only reason he was responding despite being so busy. Had he only written originally and asked me to wait until things quieted down I wouldn't be writing this. But he stated right out that he only responded to me because something upset him. Yet he didn't feel it important enough to answer me when I was upset, didn't feel it important enough to make sure things had gone well, and overall didn't think it important enough to provide good customer service. I don't know if things would have been better with a different motivator and if the owner had done my event, as originally planned. But he (Bill, the owner) is extremely difficult to reach when things are going well, and pretty much not at all unless he feels it is important. I would not use this company again.

From our first interactions with Bob, the owner, we knew we wanted to work together and valued his personability and flexibility to align with our vision and expectations. Bob was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions promptly. We booked the Metropolis band, and we were blown away. Metropolis consists of some of the most talented musicians and masters at their craft. - they are rockstars and threw us the party of a lifetime! During the reception, the band kept everyone on their feet all night! Every member of Metropolis has incredible talent. They performed every song, including our requested songs with energy and passion. We loved that they interacted with the crowd and they truly seemed like they were enjoying every minute of it. We loved their plan for the flow of the evening, which maximized the time on the dance floor - we've attended other weddings where this was not the case, and it was very noticeable! So many of our guests raved about how good the band was, and have asked for their information to recommend them for future weddings - everyone enjoyed themselves so much and all of our guests were out on the dance floor all night. Our guests were raving about the band for days after our wedding and we definitely recommend them to anyone. We truly did not want the night to end, just so we could continue dancing and partying with Metropolis. We also had live music through Faze 4 for our ceremony (violin & keyboard) and cocktail hour (sax & keyboard.) And we were absolutely thrilled! Thank you to Bob & Metropolis for truly making our wedding day absolutely unforgettable!

They had everyone on the dance floor within seconds (then again, they had a fun crowd to work with- my new family!) and we didn't stop shaking our booties all night long. I've got the blisters on my feet to prove it!

Our family and friends have not stopped talking about how amazing the quality of their music is. When I asked my planner about live music for our ceremony, she didn't hesitate to name NY Ceremony Music. Their ability to play with one another is truly magical - it was the perfect soundtrack for a fairytale experience. Both of them were beyond kind and hands down, a pleasure to work with. If you're searching for an outrageous live performance during your ceremony and cocktail hour, look no further! We are so blessed to have had such a fantastic musical score there for our big day. My husband and I wanted something unique for the ceremony so we decided to go with live musicians. I did my research through wedding blogs and gigmasters.com and found this duo cello and guitar players. I pretty much knew they would be the ones to play at the wedding ceremony based on the samples they have recorded on their website. My picks were "Flightless Bird", "Fools Rush In" and "I'm Yours." Since I hired them only for the ceremony portion, it was pretty easy to work with them. We never met in person until the day of but we communicated via e-mail and phone conversations, which were very prompt and concise. On the day of the wedding, they both came on time and were absolutely professional. They played the pieces beautifully and I still can't stop listening to their samples on their website.

Being Italian and my husband Greek I really wanted to have an authentic wedding that represented both of us. Mylos NYC did not disappoint in the least. They were my favorite vendor to work with throughout the who planning process. Whenever I was anxious, I was put at ease knowing we were in the amazing hands of Olympia and Savva and that our wedding was going to be one to remember. Their expertise in the business shows through their work and dedication to their clients! Our wedding was absolutely that, one to remember. It was important to us to have culture involved in our big days as well as the wedding reception still kept modern and hip. I still have guests ( Greeks/ non Greeks) who rave how amazing our Greek band was. It was something new for the non Greeks and they had an incredible time. They said they have never been at such a high energy, super entertaining wedding. Both Olympia and Savva worked with myself and my husband on each element that was important at our reception. We had a particular vision for our entrance and cake cutting. We didn't want ordinary, we wanted unique and we got that and more. Mylos NYC will forever be part of our family and already a vendor on our list for our future parties!

Recently spoke with a friend about his son's wedding, and after hearing what happened, I was…read moreshocked. I was told not to book any entertainment until we saw Vali Entertainment perform at his sons wedding because they promised an amazing show. Unfortunately, his experience was the complete opposite. Cocktail hour was supposed to feature a singer, but instead it felt more like three musicians having an informal jam session. During the introductions of the families, bridal party, and the bride and groom, the vocals were so low that many guests could barely hear them. The father, who owns a production company, went to the sound engineer. The mixer showed the vocal levels were already at their maximum. Two concert sound engineers attending as guests also believed the speakers being used should have been capable of covering the room. Thankfully, the staff at Legacy Castle stepped in and allowed the entertainment to use the venue's house sound system, which immediately improved the audio. Unfortunately, the energy of the performance never matched the expectations for a wedding of this caliber. The father asked what had happened to Sam, the performer he believed had been booked, and was simply told, "The music will get better." It never did. Eventually, the father had his own production team shorten the band's performance and start the DJ earlier than planned. That decision completely changed the atmosphere and helped save the reception. Based on everything I was told, I would personally look elsewhere when choosing entertainment. When expectations are set this high, the performance should meet them--especially at such an important event.

We did have to drive into the city to meet with him but that was our choice as the customer. He works remotely. We went with the "Big Mix" and could not be more ecstatic with our choice. We personally met with the band leader Joe who listened to event request and OVER DELIVERED. in fact, we sent him sheet music before the wedding because we changed the song for our first dance and not only did they play it well but they ROCKED IT. I think another testament to their quality was that once of my bridesmaids who isn't a "dancer" told me that because the band was so awesome she danced to all but THREE songs. Also, the majority of our guests stayed until the end where the band ended the night with a perfect sounded Frank Sinatra version of "New York, New York". Vali entertainment follows through on the excellent standard they promise to deliver. Choose them and people will also be telling you "that was the best wedding band I've ever seen."
