However he's not an easy person to work with. He had more of a Prima Donna attitude than anyone in the room. He was critical towards my MOH and best man and made passive aggressive statements. He made everyone feel uncomfortable and my bridal party and both my family my in-laws kept asking where I found this man. He didn't take any photos of my MOH and best friend making a speech and focused on other people in the wedding party and giving my other MOH and best man (I know I know I have two sets) all the attention. He didn't tell us to get a park permit for our pre-nuptials and we had no idea we had to...and he ended up yelling at the parks manager and almost had us kicked out. Also, he didn't try to make us feel better by giving us some additional time for the time lost in the park and wanted to leave right on the dot when my tea ceremony was starting...which is huge for my culture. He also ended up giving us 300 something photos and for the price we paid...it's ridiculous. People have 1000 plus photos and he gave us less than half that amount. Some photos were really nice but some...the contrast was way too much and my acne scars were highlighted and he didn't even asked me if I wanted it smoothed out. When I email him about status of the album he gave me a "you're not the only bride I'm working with" type of response and it really made our experience with him even worst. If you guys don't care about who the photographer is and wants his style of photos then hire him, otherwise there are many photographers who are nicer to work with who produce just as good if not better photos.

And part of bridesmaid duty is listening to the bride vent so I have heard the cripes and complaints about their wedding planners and what went wrong.  I was recently the maid of honor for my dearest friend in NYC. She doesn't have a lot of family so I was fortunate to be able to play a big role in helping her plan her dream day. I happened to be visiting when she had a meeting with Louann and Nancy of Reed Cohen Papers and Events. My friend told me she loved her party planners and it was clear to see why. They were amazing; their attention to detail and organizational skills were great. They were kind and thoughtful, seemed very respectful of her budget and really knowledgable about all the vendors and venues in the area.  Wedding planning can be so stressful but these two just seemed to have such a command on the planning and most of all, they were so fun and creative. I got to know them pretty well from the meetings I attended with my friend and phone calls I helped out with. The wedding was absolutely perfect, she couldn't have asked for a more lovely day. The invitations were beautiful and I was super impressed with their detailed timing script for every detail (large and small) that happened over the entire wedding weekend.  Most of all, they made my friend feel like she was their most important client and no concern was too silly to raise. I just recommended them to another friend who got engaged and I would really love if they would expand into the DC market one day when it is my turn.

But Gio always gave us very clear feedback while he was taking photos. He quickly and clearly told us whether we are good or we need to make any adjustments like looking at cameras, walking forward, smiling more, relaxing, or being more serious. These feedbacks gave me a lot of confidence. Gio answered all our questions through email, call or in person. - Efficiency: I don't exactly remember how much time does Gio need to share all the photos back to us. But Gio shared sneak peeks and full gallery with us much faster than I expected. - Well planned: we decided to take pre-wedding photos in SoHo. I was a little worried because SoHo is always full of people and cars, and I wasn't sure if we could finish our photo shooting within the scheduled time. Gio didn't share any detailed plan with us before the wedding day. But he had all the spots and the most efficient route in his mind, we followed him and took photos at about 5 or 6 very nice places at SoHo. We really love those photos!!! - Nice price. We chose Gio for engagement photos more because of the price. And we surprisingly found out we loved his photos as well!!!! He offered us discount for wedding photos because we had the engagement session with him, which is very nice. Thank you so much Gio! Funico Studios was one of the Photographers our venue had recommended to us…read more My mom made an appointment and went and met with Alice, the wife of this husband and wife team. Alice has a warm and friendly personality. She talked about their experiences photographing at Snug Harbor, our wedding venue site. She showed us many samples of books, pictures and canvases her and her husband James shot over the years. They had beautiful work. We met with a few others online thru other friends and family recommendations but I already knew I had made my choice. We made it official and signed with Funico. I couldn't have been happier. My husband Joe and I had a very small intimate wedding with around 70 guests in early September. Given the small guest list, everyone stood out and we were able to get great shots of almost everyone. We were married outdoors on probably the most humid day of the summer. It was extremely hot. Poor James literally sweat thru his shirt! But that didn't stop him; he was everywhere, snapping away. James took a nice assortment of formal and candid shots. We were married and had our reception outdoors in Sung Harbor, so we had a lot of natural botanical backgrounds. Funico told me they knew the Snug Harbor facility well and they were true to their word. James knew all of the best areas to photograph on the premises. About six weeks after the wedding, we were able to view all of our photos online. We just finished choosing our favorite shots for our Wedding photo books.
