My daughter and I have been going to Simplicity Hair Salon in Concord, NH for over 5 years. We see Kirsten and she always does incredible work! She is incredibly thorough, listens to her client's, gives ideas and thoughts. I value her opinion a lot and she never disappoints. She did mine and my daughter's hair and make up for my wedding. She's dyed my daughter's hair several different colors. Mine as well. Again, never disappoints! Not only is Kirsten amazing but all of the staff at Simplicity is awesome! They're always so inviting. Always making sure that their clients are having the best experience while at the salon. Asking if we want water, some light snacks. Asking if we're comfortable and if there's anything they can do to make the experience better. I would absolutely recommend bringing any age to this salon. They're very family friendly and just incredible! read more

This was my first time at this salon and it was a great experience! I'm visiting from out of state and was able to make a next day appointment with no issue. Sam was amazing. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and really nailed the look I was going for. She even took the time to style my hair and make sure the curl would hold up to the humidity. I was so impressed with how friendly and knowledgable she was. The salon itself is really nice and provides a relaxed atmosphere for the clients. I was nervous going in but was quickly put at ease. I started going here a bit ago when I first started my hair journey, my first time was with Kris and I fell in love with his personality and skills. He is always attentive if I ever have questions on his social media and never fails to make a simple appointment make me feel new. I went to someone else who was the only reason I ever had a negative time here but they are no longer there. After a bit when all the barbers had messed up my boyfriends hair, I figured i've never been wronged by anyone at my salon besides the person who was gone already. We then started to see Desiree for my boyfriends hair, and after just two appointments we found our girl for his hair. We purposely book later day appointments since we all get to sit and chat, get to know each other and in my opinion, have a fairly calm end of the night. True props to Kris and Desiree for being such genuine people who we trust with our hair! read more

Kris did my first cut since the pandemic started and I'm so in love with my hair! I *actually* wear it down and there is no "wrong" way for my hair to flip. I got it cut a week ago but I plan on going back for a touch up when I'm back in NH (not Conc, I'll drive to see him) because I won't be back again for another two years. I've been going to Simplicity for a few years now. I was seeing Ashley there but when she left to have her baby I started seeing Mandi. Both excellent stylists! I hadn't been in in a while and my work schedule changed so I'm not able to see Mandi in the days she's there anymore because it just doesn't work for my schedule so....today I saw Alexa and couldn't have been happier! I came in for a long overdue color and cut. We talked about what I wanted to do and looked at the color swatches together. She did a whole head foil of lowlights and then toned the leftover blonde that I had (I wanted to go darker and more natural). She nailed it! It turned out gorgeous! And the cut was perfect as well. A long angled bob style cut. This salon obviously takes pride in hiring excellent stylist because all 3 stylists I've seen here have been excellent! Yes the salon is a bit pricey but I will definitely continue to go there. Thank you Alexa for giving me the change I needed for the summer! See you in 6 weeks! read more

I was supposed to have an appointment here recently. Unfortunately, had a medical emergency the morning of, ended up in an ER, then admitted for a couple of days in rough shape. It wasn't a good time. So, imagine upon finally hearing my messages how delighted (not) I was to hear a very snitty message from Simplicity Hair Studio that informed me twice in the same message that I'd no-showed, and they were going to have to charge me for the full service because that's their policy. The woman leaving this message could not have been more rude in her tone. No "hey, things happen, give us a call." No concern that maybe something is up. I'd never no-showed at this salon before, and never would. I'd only ever been there twice before in more than a year's time. So, really, I'm a stranger to them. We have no real history, and this is the message they want to leave me? I looked at their website, and clearly they have a savvy enough marketer that their written cancellation policy makes room for the fact that life happens. Unfortunately, nobody informed the woman who left me the very rude message. If there is one thing that the whole world should have learned from Covid, it is that life is short, things happen, and we have to be good to each other. I understand salons can't stay in business when people blow-off appointments, so here's the thing: Become such a fantastic salon that you are the hottest place in a 6 state area, with a wait list that is years long. Then nobody would dare no-show. Until then, or even then, please try just being nice and not jumping to bad conclusions. Life does indeed happen. Good people miss hair appointnents when awful things happen to them. Just thank your lucky stars that the awful thing didn't happen to you. read more

After doing extensive research into local stylists for my wedding I was very pleased to have found Whitney Reed. I wanted someone who could do both hair and airbrush makeup within my tight budget. Whitney's prices are very reasonable, especially considering the work she is able to do. She was very responsive by phone and email and always quick to answer my questions or offer suggestions. I met with Whitney about a month before the wedding for a trial. She was warm and open from the start. The appointment for me and my mother was not short, over 3 hours, but Whitney took her time and experimented with looks to get to know what we wanted. She paid close attention to what I did and did not like. Day of the wedding she arrived early and was ready to get to work. She was very efficient remembering what we had discussed at the trial and making sure I was happy with the results each step of the way. Whitney was able to give me a soft look while making sure the makeup would show well in the photos. She also styled members of the wedding party who all looked beautiful. Whitney is a talented stylist with years of experience. She is able to put her clients at ease and make you feel beautiful. Maggie did the makeup for my wedding--for myself, six bridesmaids, and the mothers of the bride and groom--and she did an amazing job. I never wear makeup normally, so I was a bit of of a deer in the headlights about it, but she walked me through it during the trial and was super attentive and patient (even when I last-minute walked back on some of the things we decided on at the trial on the day of the wedding, ack!). I ended up going with a really natural look that I loved, and she also did an incredible job with the people in the wedding who wanted a more glam look. Everyone was so happy with their makeup! Maggie is really so sweet and did the perfect job. (The second makeup artist she brought along was also great, but in the craziness of the day I managed to miss her name!) I am so glad I managed to find her! read more
