I had my first appointment as a consultation and a trim. Lisa, my stylist, recommended some products to help my hair and we made a plan for color. Today was my color appointment and I couldn't be happier! My color is amazing and the cut is exactly what I wanted. This place is amazing, it's gorgeous inside and welcoming. First visit I booked a cut and highlights. The girl was unable to suggest anything for highlights so instead I end up with haircut and extremely conditioned hair. She was new and for that inexperience I gave her a pass. I attempted to try again but due to family responsibilities I had to cancel. When I called and told the girl I need to cancel and she asked if I wanted to reschedule . I said no. before I could say anything else she hung up the phone . They booked me for another appointment and proceeded to call and tell me if I no showed I would be charged. I called and spoke to a kinda nice person she was going to leave a note on my account "so you're not talked to again " So much for thoughtful customer service. I work in a service industry and this was horribly disappointing and frustrating. They seemed to forget that each individual they interact with as clients are also free word of mouth advertising. When I came in for my appointment I expressed I wanted my very outgrown roots to be the same blonde as the ends of my hair, I ended up leaving with just highlights. I told them that wasn't what I asked for and the owner proceeded to claim that was, in fact, what I had asked for and they "had it on video". Having served 15 years in the customer service industry, I am compelled to express my disbelief when I, for the first time ever, wrongfully chose to support a local business. This particular business owner chose to partake, albeit a small role, in the multi-billion dollar beauty industry. There has long been an understanding that we as females have always been held to a certain standard image-wise, so it comes as no surprise that the first place we start is with our exterior appearance, more specifically - our hairstyles! Well, when I walked through the doors of Wicked Salon & Spa, which was not my first time, I was excited to get that 'fresh new look' we all women eagerly choose to do from time-to-time. My new look required a cut and color (highlights). After completion, I was grossly dissatisfied and asked for a refund, or a much needed re-do! Ms. Angela (Owner) straight up refused both. ( :O ) I'm beginning to understand the choice of name for the salon because wicked is a very fitting description. After several phone calls, couple of emails, a few reviews, and a last ditch attempt to write the BBB (Yes, it's still in existence) all efforts proved to be worthless. I write this review mostly out of being in shock that a person whose passion is supposed to be in making people feel good and beautiful can actually turn out to be quite the opposite. At this point, I accept that Angela will never have that service-oriented mindset and will clearly not right her wrongs, so maybe I'm just seeking an admission from a person who just does not care. A confession that what makes her tick isn't the smile on her customers face when they leave, but the silent contentment of seeing her customers internally loath themselves because they didn't look as beautiful as they had hoped while in the mercy of their hands. It's truly a shame people like that are still around, especially one that owns a small business. We now all know I am not getting anything out of this whole shit-show of an experience, but if I can give something to all of you, I give you a strong warning to caution entering this salon. Support those who care about your satisfaction, your precious outward appearances, and most importantly the service they're offering. You will not find that at Wicked Salon & Spa. I'm sure plenty of customers have walked out happy, but do your own research and really see what they are about, and who it is behind the screen directing it all. You'll find that it isn't just me, but a lot of defeated customers walking out with that internal loathing. As I wrap this up, allow me to tell you what will happen next. Angela will respond with a slew of false stories on how she did offer a refund, and she did reschedule an appointment (blah blah blah). But let's face it, if that were really true, why am I still here writing about an experience that happened 3 months ago? I've had my fair share of 'speaking to the manager' situations, but never have I ever had a situation like this. That is just how rude my experience was, and how rude Angela really is. Angela, a word of advice, get the hell out of customer service because you don't belong there. I have been going to Wicked for seven or eight years now. The stylists have always been great and Brianna does my hair fairly regularly with awesome results. The reason for the two stars is the customer service, more specifically the manager/owner Angela. She seems to have a chip on her shoulder and today when I called to reschedule an appointment, was VERY rude! Life happens and I gave more than a 24hr notice. When I wasn't sure about scheduling out until July and said that I would call or be in contact with the stylist herself, she hung up on me. Very unprofessional and rude. I've been going to Wicked for my haircuts now for close to two years. I'm one of those awful awful awful clients who is never happy with her haircut and feels like her stylist isn't listening to her. I never had this problem with Kara. She always gave me exactly what I had asked for and envisioned in my head. She recently moved and referred me to Midori who is also amazing and just does exactly what I am looking for. The salon itself is super clean and all of the staff are very friendly. Drinks are offered to you as soon as you walk in and everyone says hi. She works with you, not against you, trust me I have had too many stylist tell me what I want instead of listening to what I want. She truly knows how to cut and style hair. Melanie L. Has been my stylist for years and she always does an amazing job! I like to switch my color up pretty often and she always does what I like, but makes sure to do it in a way to keep my hair healthy! All staff has always been ver welcoming and polite to me when I'm there. I'm always asked if I would like a complimentary drink. (Water,coffee, wine, beer, and maybe more!) I gave 4 stars because it can be a little pricey for some people, but I feel like with a hair salon you get what you pay for. So, I don't mind paying a little more to have a very experienced and educated stylist working on my hair! read more

I called for an appt. for a pedicure at The Wicked Salon and mentioned at the time I made the appt that I had a 50% off a first time service card albeit I had held on to this card since the salon opened. I asked if they would still honor the discount and asked to be called back if they would not. An hour before my appointment I received a call that no they would not honor the discount even though there was no expiration date on the card....click ! I have only used Wicked salon for shellac manicures. To date I have been in for 3 and will return again next week. I have been very pleased with all the manicures. I recently got married at Stonebridge Country Club and wanted a location close to there to do my hair. I found Wicked Salon via Yelp and setup a trial with Holly. She did an amazing job. She was creative and with little direction was able to make my hair perfect. I have super thick curly hair and so not everyone is great with it. She controlled it and smoothed it out, while still leaving some of the curls as I had requested. Day of, I met her at 10 AM and she was ready to go. The hair style came out a bit different from the trial but still amazing. Plus, my wedding was not until 4 PM and dancing went until 10 PM, followed by more dancing at a bar thereafter until almost 1 AM. My hair was so sturdy that it lasted the entire night! This is my third salon since moving to the area in July 2012. I have finally struck gold! This is the place to go!!! I first went in for a shellac manicure (Holly) ! Loved it! Next I had my 4 year old son get a haircut (Holly). Finally he doesn't look like I cut it! I paid a little more but it was definitely worth it. He has fine hair and for whatever reason the other 2 salons did not know how to cut it. I just went in last week to have my hair done...cut, color and highlight. Holly did an amazing job! I felt fabulous leaving the salon! That's the way it should be! Thank you thank you!! If you're still reading this here is some more info! It is a Wella salon which means they get lots of training and are up on the latest trends as well as using Wella products. Before moving to the area I had gone to a Wella salon and was very pleased. The other two salons I went to here were not Wella salons and I always left feeling unhappy about the job they had done. From bangs cut straight across to color not taking just disappointing. The prices were the same as Wicked. I have a friend who goes there as well and she is always happy too! I also have to mention that the salon is beautiful and cozy! They offer you a beverage soda, coffee, beer, wine...it's just nice. read more

Having moved out here recently I needed to find a new salon, and a new stylist for my blonde hair...which any blonde can tell you is no easy task since we have to have just the right blonde lol I got a recommendation for Wicked from a friend of my boyfriend, so I called a couple weeks ago asking to book with one of their top level stylists. This salon is awesome because you can choose your stylist based on their level of experience...I love that! One of the gals at the front desk booked me with Erica for an appointment yesterday. I was a little nervous going into the appointment because I had had my last stylist for 8 years! BUT, Erica was amazing and my blonde came out beautifully. She is so skilled at what she does and she is very personable and easy to talk to....no awkward moments of weird chit chat or silence as there can be when you sit in a salon chair lol The depth and dimensions of my highlights came out amazing and I have gotten so many compliments on the color already. I highly recommend this salon, and Erica, not only for it's stylists but also the beauty of it...10 out of 10 in my book! read more

It was my first time here, the people are nice, the place is inviting also. I had my hair styled there and to my dismay, I had my hair chopped up and not one person including friends liked the cut. I ended up at another hair stylist in the mall of new hampshire and, " WOW"!! They knew what I wanted at this salon. My hair was saved and everyone loves my hair styled! It was amazing. Just to let everyone know I gave wicked salon a chance to do everything possible, any amount of money, to just make me look acceptable, nothing fancy. I am in my 50's and, it was last minute, I needed my hair done before Easter, and my salon was booked. I thought I would try wicked salon, but they did not understand a simple layer cut. read more

I have gone to this Salon for a last minute haircut and many manicures since they opened. Have always had great service with friendly employees until this last visit. Was not impressed with my Shellac manicure and it came off within 4 days. I left for vaca within hours after having it done. Upon return I called the mgr to explain my disappointment and she said nothing she can do and made several excuses perhaps why it didn't take. Never an apology. Again I've had this done many times and it lasts 3 weeks. At least they should have had me come in to look at it and remove it. They can eat that cost for good cust service. I am a cust Serv mgr and know how to retain customers. Nothing offered almost as if didn't care and it was my fault for not calling earlier. I was out of country. The 2 girls I normally see I NEVER have issues with my nails. Again mgr said I can ask the girl who did your nails .. Ask what? Then she hung up! Bummer lost my business and I loved going there. Need to work on retaining customers. I know others that have left for various reasons ! read more

I have never had such a HORRIBLE experience at a salon in my life. Went to Wicked in November for some simple highlights and a trim. Told my stylist I had use henna hair dye on my hair in the past years (little did I know this would be a problem.) My stylist was inexperienced, and didn't realize henna would react badly with bleach. My light brown hair turned green. She then blamed me for it, although it was not my fault I was educated in how hair coloring works. She ended up using a strawberry blonde dye to try to mask the green. However, this just made my hair an array of pinks, greens, platinum blondes, and brown. My stylist started CRYING, and had other stylists look at my hair, not tell me anything that was going on, and walk away. Not only that, I asked for a trim and she ended up taking 3 inches off. I was blamed for the whole ordeal, was told that my hair "would be the best it was going to get for what happened", sat in the chair for 4 hours without any apology for the mishap. I was not offered any water, was not told of anything that was happening with my hair, and was forced to pay $112. I ended up having to go to another salon to color my entire head a dark brown to mask the many colors, and get the cut fixed (it turned out to be 1.5 inches shorter on one side). When I fought to get my money back from Wicked, I had the owner tell me that I was a liar and an awful human being. She took no responsibility for the mistakes of her staff, and yelled at me for being upset about my horrendous experience. She then said she would give me a full refund (before hanging up on me), but I have not seen one cent of it. Had to dispute the charges with the bank. I never received an apology or anything from the salon, and needless to say I have never met such an unprofessional owner and staff. read more

I have been going to wicked for years and have always received great service and a fashionable cut. I needed a haircut today and called for an appointment. They had an opening with someone I had never seen before but trusted that they would have talented or at least competent stylists. I stated very specifically how I wanted my hair cut and the stylist proceeded to cut my hair. It wasn't what I had asked for so I gave more detailed direction. At this point it was clear that she didn't have the skills necessary to cut a man's hair. She went downstairs and another stylist came up and made an attempt at salvaging my haircut. Unfortunately the haircut I wanted was impossible at this point, but I felt I could at least leave with a fashionable cut and asked her to cut the top a little shorter and texturizing it. She took the clippers and shaved off my hair. I was shocked. I asked her why she did that and she replied that that was what she thought I wanted!! She finished shaving off all of my hair, leaving poorly blended lines because at that point she just wanted me out of there. She apologized and said I wouldn't be charged. I asked for the manager and she told me she was sorry but there was nothing she could do. She couldn't turn back time. Now I have to go somewhere else to at least get the blending fixed. I could have given myself this haircut in my bathroom with beard trimmers. The manager didn't offer anything, just said there was nothing else she could do. I DON'T recommend getting a men's cut there. read more

My hair always turns out fabulous, and I am always trying something new wih my color or cut. I've also had several mania and pedis with Krista and she does a fantastic job. I moved to NH from the Washington DC area a year and a half ago, and Lindzi at Wicked is a better stylist than anyone I found in DC, hands down. I have never had better highlights in my life. I'm a blonde and have been getting my hair highlighted since I was about 15 years old, so I know who does a good job and who does not. Lindzi gets the color right down to the root - which is very hard to do. She is also very thoughtful, and starts each appointment with a discussion of how I'm feeling about my hair, what my goals are, and makes helpful suggestions about how to best accomplish them, but also always leaves the final decision up to me - there's never any pressure. She also does a great glaze treatment after the wash and is very skilled at arching my eyebrows, while the glaze sets. She goes the extra mile to make sure my hair is styled nicely when I leave so that I can feel great when I go back to work or out for the evening. Lindzi is a fun person to be around, asks genuine questions about my life, and I always really enjoy my appointment. The salon atmosphere is relaxing and they take great care of you from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. If you're in the Manchester area, you won't find a better stylist than Lindzi at Wicked in Goffstown! read more

Everything about trying to book this salon was a nightmare. I called with plenty of time ahead of my appointment and the girl who answered the phone was totally clueless. She put me on hold four times before I asked to speak with someone else. She tried capturing my credit card information to book a nail appointment and when I asked why it was necessary she said, "um, hang on, let me put you on hold and ask." When your policies baffle even your receptionist, it's time to reassess. Finally, when I did get someone competent on the line, they couldn't explain their procedures or pricing scale to me, cracked open an appointment book and then announced that they were "booked solid" and could "try to squeeze us in" but they'd have to get back to me. The whole thing left me feeling very uninspired and nervous, and if they can't handle their scheduling and booking procedures, I certainly don't trust them with my hair, skin or nails. Their pretentious website and building might be flashy, but at the end of the day, they can't deliver the most basic of basic customer service. I consider this a bullet dodged. read more

Three strikes, they're out! My first bad experience was when I tried to book a bachelorette party/spa night. One week before I called to confirm our reservation and let them know how many we would be and they told me "sorry, we tried to call you we can't do it we are short staffed that night". Well they NEVER tried to call me, offered only a half hearted apology and made no effort to make it up to me. Strike two: I was to have my hair done their for the afore mentioned wedding which I was maid of honor in. The girl was 40 minutes late for my appointment, she fiddled with my hair for 1 1/2 hours and it looked no better than if I had done it myself. Again, no aplogies for being so late or the obvious disappointment on my face. Third strike: At this point you may be asking why I have continued to go there. Well, I really liked the girl who had been cutting my hair and up until today she had nothing to do with these experiences. So today I go in to get my hair cut and I had my 5 year old with me. When we walked in the girl says "Oh your boy is with you. He's going to be on his best behavior right?". I was a bit put off by the comment but thought maybe I was being overly sensitive. Then another woman comes over to me to tell me it's their policy to not allow children in the salon and that if he can't behave they may have to stop services in the middle and ask us to leave. The whole time she was speaking to me she was looking at me and talking to me like we were scum. I was so offended I walked out. I understand their policy and am not upset about that, I am upset about the way I was treated. I will never go back there, the women who work there are beyond rude and they certainly have proven they know nothing about customer service read more
